What are you afraid of?

Why do some people create a blog that asks a question, but won't allow people to answer by not allowing comments? Are they so afraid that someone might disagree with them? Is it a case of, I want you to listen to me but you can just SHUT UP cause I'm not interested in what you have to say?

Is it just me? I need your opinions Girls/Guys

Here is my question? As you can see from my profile I have been single for a long time. I very rarely get involved in messaging and interactions generally fizzle out. Some times tho I do get into a good and conversation and twice I have given my number out. On both occasions I have had to block the person I gave my number due to serial texting. The first person left 22 test messages with out reply. I was in work and I don't answer my phone in work so when I finished I had all these messages. I politely finished all contact. The second the same thing so I blocked the number. Both told me I over reacting and this is the normal level of text you should expect in a modern relationship. My own opinion is this if I send some a text I wait for them to reply before I send another one and I have never sent words. Why are you not talking to me in a text.

So what is your take on this.

Late spring here in the USA Northeast....

so gardens just in. Bees requeened, where needed. Today, our first yard sale---a Maine tradition. Great stuff, often for dimes on the dollar. But the real value is the schmoozing. And meeting all those wanton ladies. With Mr. Bravo, the chick magnet. ;--)) Aa.

a night on the town...

Well...inspired by another person having a night on the town right now laugh

Last night a buddy of mine Nick and I went out to the big city....a city of about 5000 people. laugh That is huge around here.

We both concluded it as being a successful night...laying the ground work. grin It started out at the oldest pub in town, been open since the late 1800's, with some chick talking about slitting my neck. rolling on the floor laughing I didn't do crap to her. She was kinda mumbling to me and I didn't hear what she said. Later she came over and starting rubbing herself on my buddy and I. She told me she wanted to dance with me...there was no dancing going on and....uh oh ....I just kinda left the area and later told my buddy that the slit your neck statement was a deal breaker. laugh She was kinda cute. My buddy and I were speculating of how beautiful she would be if she brushed her teeth in the last week or so, put on a nice dress, and maybe a touch of make up and maybe some contacts. wow ...she would have been smoking. ...she was a short little red-head with a nice rack disguised by her sweatshirt.

We left that place to go to another place. There a woman I recognized from poker came over and we started talking. He had another poker lady player with her and another friend. We all chatted for some time until they moved to the next bar...telling us to come with them. Well, we were heading that way anyway. Don't make any mistakes, not really our types. But, we went to the next bar and we just walked by them. cool ...we didn't think they noticed us. laugh ....naw...they did. rolling on the floor laughing The non-poker player lady came over and asked why we didn't go by them. hmmm ...I said there were no seats over there and we were going to go over there. blushing laugh She didn't buy it. She started rubbing up to my buddy...while two 20 something chicks sat to my left. grin I started chatting with them. One of them recognized me...and they shared a sip of their drink with me. Success! Laying some ground work. laugh

Anyway, my buddy and I decided to go back to the bar where the psycho woman was at. Well...the one that was rubbing up to my buddy wanted to go with us. All the time, my buddy was giving me that look like...please rescue me. rolling on the floor laughing What could I do? I told her, sure...you can come with. I got all the pigs and shit out of the back of my car.

The moral of the story...it is nice when women approach men. More women should do that. :)

GRUMP TIME - Copy/Paste News

It's interesting to see how news providers are nowadays filling their column inches, or whatever the monitor, tablet or smartphone equivalent is - column pixels perhaps?

Once, if you wanted to copy someone’s work, you had to painstakingly rewrite the text, or at least Xerox countless pages from their book. Today Reuters can quote BBC Radio, the BBC can source Sky News, Sky can link to the New York Times and NYT can state that the information originated on the Reuters website.

The information had to come from somewhere, but it would seem that by this constant referral and linking to original articles (which in turn are linking to ‘alternate’ originals), copy is conjured out of thin air. Is it some big journalistic conspiracy or should we look further afield?

Maybe Doctor Who, Marty McFly or Bill and Ted are responsible for the appearance of these miracle stories. Surely, time travel has to figure somewhere!

Whatever the reason, it does mean that the consumer is increasingly subject to a standardisation of style, a watering down of words that can only be detrimental to both the reader and the supplier. After all, if the Daily Blurb, Radio Local and the 10 O’Clock News are all presenting the same events in a similar fashion, how are we to distinguish one corporate identity from another?

Whilst we may disagree with the political bias of one media channel or the sensationalism or another, it is these very differences that engage us, promote debate and give us a range of viewpoints and opinions that aid us in forming our own.

However, from blogs and tweets, right up to international information suppliers, the mindless sharing of regurgitated copy means that we no longer need to spend any time thinking about the news. Instead, we can focus on cute videos of cats and publicly criticising our friends’ life choices.

Oh, for the days of photocopying textbooks at the back of the library!

what is the point?

Of pointing someone(s) activity on the blogs? We are all human beings with our own individual perspectives.

Are we trying to stop them from what they deem is fitting for them?
In other words, we are trying to control them?

or

Are we trying to mend some sort of internal shortcoming by convincing others that another person is acting in such an unorthodox way?
In other words, there is some sort of lack of self confidence....self worth...or insecurity??

Whatever the case, it does not really matter to me. I only write this blog because I believe people are allowed to be people...in all their own unique ways.

Not to mention...

We are all entitled, as the blog rules confirmed...to write what we feel is right.

If not...

The moderators surely would have removed the blog(s) by now.

Blog on everyone.

Take no offense if I decide not to check out one of your blogs....

That is also a choice afforded to me.

This blog is not intended to condemn anyone here...either the blog writers....or the writers who write about blog writers.

The world is full of all types. It takes all types to make the world. But, I think it would be disappointing if some types felt that they could not freely express themselves for whatever reason.

Have you ever wondered....about the dynamics of tattoes, or as...

some call these, body "art"? A few tiny ones near nether areas, are probably OK. But talk to those unfortunates who have, at enormous expense, turned their skin into an advert that says, "Adolescent impulsive low self esteem stupidity can linger till advanced age, just look at me". These sad cases, once more mature, show a number of characteristics. Almost universal regret. Efforts to cover up. And increasingly, at enormous cost and generall poor cosmetic result, laser removal treatments. How many parents have tried to discourage this pathetic self abuse, when so many less toxic alternatives to identity issues exist? Try adopting the Goth lifestyle, for example. When you grow up finally, all you need to do is to ditch the clothes, and rejoin humanity. But other opinions exist on this topic. Aa.
