If you were my mobile phone, where would you be?

And please don't all shout at once. I can't phone it, it is going straight to voicemail, it does that, decides to take a break every now and then.

The alarm is due to go off tomorrow morning, sure, I could hear it then - but it may have run out of charge. In which case I may never wake up again. uh oh

I don't expect many helpful suggestions, busy as you all are with politics and sex and there's probably a religious blog or two as well, but any suggestions would be welcomed.

NB - political, religious (including asking St Anthony) or s*xual comments will be deleted no matter how hilarious they are. Sick to death of all those subjects now. scold

In fact any comments on any other subject, whether or not they relate to my AWOL phone, are welcome. But I know how busy you are.

When is it when a man is to know for sure if a woman has interest in him...rather than just thinking she might?

Zero tolerance!

If you're a non tolerant person tell us how this happened. Were you locked in a cage as a child and poked with hot sticks by your parents? Perhaps your siblings kept you on a lead and made you bark for a snack. Just where does your red mist come from?very mad

When will Bacteria take over and be the top of the food chain on planet Earth?

Bacteria will use more of the energy from the sun to go from chilling-out to actively dividing trillions of times a second even on ceramics and metals until they cover everything. No plants equals no animals. Red and blue light will no longer exist on earth because bacteria will eventually suck it all out of the sun.

Eventually, CO2 and Non Methane Hydrocarbons at ground level will replace oxygen providing more energy for bacteria to accelerate dividing even more until they no longer need a separate nutrient rich starch based food to survive. POTUS endorses this science.

Abnormal.

Normal is
getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work, and sitting for ages in gridlocked rush hour traffic in a car that you are still paying for, in order to get to the job you have to have to pay for the clothes and the car, and for the house which you leave empty all day so that you can afford to live in it.

Normal is
1 conforming to a type, standard, or regular pattern
2 according with, constituting, or not deviating from a norm, rule, or principle
3 occurring naturally normal immunity
3 relating to, or characterized by average intelligence or development IQs within the normal range
4 free from mental illness : mentally sound symptoms of paranoia in otherwise normal persons

Normal is
1. An idealistic state of being that remains as such. Because the idea of such a state varies from being to being and any set standard is nonetheless someone elses idea of what it is this condition warrants satisfactory confirmation of being amongst the confirmed members of such class, by the individuals code.
2. Normal is about as concrete as the idea of "love". The meaning is constantly evolved to suit the momentary desires and/or needs of a single person, or group of people.
3. A tool of conformity.

Normal people never think for themselves, they play follow the leader their entire lives and freak out when confronted with any situation they were not trained to deal with.

Yeah, I'm looking up normal to see if I am. It's not looking good. moping

Oh hang on -

Normal is
There is no such thing as normal so there can't really be a definition

Phew.

When Life Laughs at You...

Well, so much for a bike ride this morning. I'm up early, raring to go for my 10km bike ride, load up the bike with my camera and..... flat tire. Not just a little lost air, totally flat. Sh*t!

I don't have an extra tire, nor any bike tools, so I guess this morning when the stores open, my bike will be going into the bike shop. Now, I could just get another tire and repair it, although I've never done it before, but ever since my chain came off, my bike has some odd noises that need to be addressed.

In essence, it needs a tune-up. It's been a lot of places and through a lot of gravel dust and rain, as well as having fallen over numerous times, that it definitely needs a bit of TLC to get it back to it's former glory. I'm also seriously considering buying another bike, one that is lighter. My current bike is a mountain bike/cruiser hybrid and exceedingly heavy. Add all my camera equipment, and it's no wonder I have to pedal so hard.

I'm disappointed that my bike ride's been delayed, as I'd planned on riding down by the river again, just to check out it's depth. I've been documenting the river levels as I've been riding and posting the photos on the local community page. The local newspaper contacted me to ask if they could use my photos - of course the answer was yes!

Here's the river about a month ago. I was actually standing under the bridge on the river bed and you can see there is very little water in it.

It's getting a bit scary to be riding by the river though, as it only has a couple of feet before it'll breach it's banks. All the sloughs are absolutely full, and dangerously close to spilling over onto roadways. I have to admit to not being too comfortable riding through the foot of the farmer's field, right along the riverfront, with the path being only five feet from the edge of the riverbank.

Here's the river this past Monday.

And here it is on Thursday evening. Yikes!

Once I've dropped my bike off at the bike shop, I guess I'll go to plan B and wander the wetlands, provided that it isn't flooded. As much as I'd like to think I'd get my bike back today, I'm pretty sure it'll have to be in the repair shop a few days or a week before I'll see it again. Ack! Of course, I could just buy a bike tire and attempt to change it myself, and leave the tune-up, except that it really does need one. I wonder if they have 'loaner' bikes like they have loaner cars when your car is in for repair? lol.

I'm thankful that the bike tire is flat while I'm at home and not when I was out riding somewhere. I've had the bike a number of years now and never had to change the tire, so I guess it really doesn't owe me anything. I do need to learn how to change a tire myself and purchase a small bike repair kit to take with me on rides. One other thing I really need to get is a rear view mirror for the bike handles. Although I don't ride on busy roads, it'd still be handy to see what's coming up behind.

This is what I'm missing on my ride this morning. Pout. Pout.

A Lonely Life

Hi there. This is my first ever blog, so I'm not to sure what to write or if anyone will even read this.
I have something on my mind though & a friend told me that a great way to release feelings is by setting them free, so here goes nothing.

I have to travel extensively for my job. In the beginning it was so exciting. I travelled to places I thought I would never visit in my life. I've seen what most people will never see, good, bad, beautiful & dreadful things. For the past 10 years I have tried to find balance in my life. It is so hard. My diet & exercise always seems to be changing, people seem to wonder in and out of my life & love never seems to last very long. The only constant is my dog waiting at home when I get there. Even that is sad as I only get to see him 6 months of the year.

I feel like my life has come to an abrupt standstill when I started working in my industry & it seems like I have not evolved as a person. Yes, I got a little wiser, I have a bit more money & knowledge of how the world actually works. I have a greater perspective on different cultures, religions & traditions, but no emotional connection with a person I can call my love. Thats all we are all really looking for. A person who sees all of you, accepts you with all your faults & is still willing to call you the best thing that happened to them.

I hope one day I can find my reason, my happiness & my best thing that has happened to me...
I will be home in a couple of weeks & really look forward to see my dog, ride my bike & hopefully find someone I can share a cup of coffee with. Until then, I will keep traveling, keep searching & definitely keep hoping....
Peace

friends like these

As promised to Keepers....did I promise this? confused I am too lazy to check back and check and see.....no biggie either way. But, I know I mentioned it to her and she was very interested in reading it.

Okay, I was out back having a cigarette at a bar one day. And there were three people back there...all three, I had no idea who they were. The looked like they may have all been on the same work crew that worked in the woods (lumberjacking).

When I walked out, two of the guys were telling the third guy about this other person(guy)...who they did not like. They were talking about how they were threatening to beat him up and then laughing about it. One of the guys ended the conversation by saying, well...we are both f*cking his wife. (of course, laughing about it)

When I heard that, I was shocked. Immediately, I thought, what sort of people are these? Would anybody want this sort of person or people as friends? If they are willing to violate another's marriage vows, what other sort of trusts could they be capable of breaking? Would you want any man or men who does not have any regards for the vows of marriage in your life as a friend(s)? Could you trust them around your wife or your girlfriend?

Of course, I didn't hear anything about any rape charges, so I am guessing the wife was okay messing around with these two men...but, that is another story and potentially another blog.

This blog is more so about the character of some men and their disrespect toward another man's marriage, thus, leading to their desirability of being a potential friend to someone.
