If... Raise your hand!

I've always had to work hard to get things to go right, but things that go wrong can happen in a heartbeat. Sometimes you have to keep your stride, ignore the bad things and move on. For the most part, I try to learn from my mistakes so I can adjust and keep the bad things from happening again.

If you experienced accidentally dropping your cellphone in the toilet... raise your hand!
If you asked someone a question and two minutes later asked the same question... raise your hand!
If you spit into the wind and it came back to greet you... raise your hand!
If you ever dropped a sandwich on the floor, dusted it off and ate it... raise your hand!
If you had food splatter on your white shirt during a date... raise your hand!
If you tried drinking hot soda and it bubbled out of your nostrils... raise your hand!
If you dropped your car off to have the technician diagnose an odd scraping noise and the car doesn't make that sound for him... raise your hand!
If you fasted all weekend and gained weight... raise your hand!
If you answered the phone and forgot about the eggs boiling... raise your hand!
if you had loose change in your pocket and dropped a 9 volt battery in there (and your pants caught fire).. raise your hand!
If you tried to make a purchase and realized your wallet was at home... raise your hand!
If you got too close to your dog at feeding time and he bit you... raise your hand!
If you pulled into the bank Friday, 10 minutes before closing and the guard wouldn't unlock the door to let you in... raise your hand!
If you purchased something expensive and it went on sale a week later... raise your hand!
If you're on holiday ready to click that once in a lifetime photo and the camera memory is full... raise your hand!

Anyone else awake?

Lying in bed with the van door open drinking coffee and roaming the smartphone for anyone else awake. Nearly 9 am in Spain. I seem to have the world to myself. Noone on the campsite is stirring yet. The mountain to the east blocks the dawn but I can see the sunshine on the opposite slope and it is sliding closer as the shadow shortens

Coffee?

respected nation

i would like say the people of those community who dont respect their selves . they cant respect for other . now days there is an exhibition is going to held in europe. my question europian community show that they are very human rights follower and they respect the humanity. but its not right they never respect the humanity and human rights . they always try to do those activities which are sensitive for muslims and they play with our muslim's emotion. so this is the duty of the community that they condemnd those activities.

virgosign

The Virgosign on the mobile phone.

Does anybody clearly remember life before the mobile phone? The mobile revolution started in the mid to late 80s. It was a bulky contraption looking close to a ladies handbag with a strap to be slung over the shoulders. You could make very expensive calls on it .. if you talked loud enough. Then a couple of years later, SMSs (Short Message Service) were introduced. They had to be very short because the cost was horrendous. Sending an 'I love you' would cost the equivalent of about a dollar in today's money. And that's nigh 33 years ago.
Now, few, if anybody can live without the mobile. FaceBook, Twitter, BBC, CNN, WhatsApp, Messenger, Camera, eMail, YouTube, Spotify, ePayments and 'e'verything else one can think of.
It's taken over our lives, and some ! And maybe it's time to revert back to using the mobile to making short and necessary phone calls, and take back our lives.
Yes, maybe I'll do that. Tomorrow.
Today I need to stay abreast of all the gossip ! laugh laugh
Peace.

Pull your pants up...

Guys, when you are in public, pull your pants up.
Maybe it's a fashion statement with you and your friends, but there is a lack of respect to the rest of the world.
I believe this fad started more than 10 years ago (around Florida) and I heard it was a 'calling card' for gay men in jail looking for other gay men. Since I don't have the answer, I can only say someone is keeping up with tradition... you see it all the time here and it's surely an attention getting device.

Regifting...

Maybe it's happened to you... receiving a gift that is similar to one you already own or a gift that really didn't fit your lifestyle? Touchy subject, as always there's a chance it will hurt someone's feelings to find you no longer have the gift they thought would be right for you.

There are websites that discuss regifting. Some say it's a no-no while others give a list of regifting rules to follow to reduce the chance of embarrassment.

Last Christmas... actually BEFORE Christmas, I warned family not to buy me presents. I've been planning a move and need to drastically reduce my inventory of clothes and technological gadgets. That said, my daughter gave me Alexa, the Echo Dot from Amazon.
Groan... okay, it's setup in the living room.

I've got bamboo steamers, food dehydrators and lots of shirts. Good thing they stopped giving me cologne as I haven't worn any in a generation.

What's the consensus on regifting here?

For some strange reason...i 'opened' CS...and checked out acouple blogs/forums...

Been in Turkey 4 months now...just can't express how wonderful the life is here...
Been alone....mostly.....and just loving the freedom...the people here...the endless choice of things to do...

A village (large) ...surrounded by mountains...expat english...(small minority of other nationalities)...restaurants galore...live music most nights...(tomorrow night the local band is playing...who are as good as any pros...

Yes...i enjoy my red wine...the sound of 70s/80s music...the lifestyle of sun...beach...boats....music...food and drink...

If you are scared to take that step...just do it..,,life is short....there may be a 'diagnosis' just round the corner....seize the moments...(and there are so many here)...wave

Truth!! does it even exist in our Governments?

So lets see a show of naive hands who believe in their so called governments, for the people, by the people right? Why are we so stupid? would we let people we know lie to us all the time? We live on the promise of tomorrow that never comes! Look around who's suffers? the people or the politicians? we have a voice people, yet we seldom use it, why is that I wonder? what will it take for us to wake up to their on going lies coming out of their mouths time and time again, the last man to truly care for the people of Ireland was Micheal Collins! he tried to change things for the better, and THEY killed him, just like JFK MLK Gandi among many who tried and died, I may be young, but my Father is 48 and my Grandfather is 82 and they say its always been that way since as far back as they can remember the politicians have been corrupt with money sex and drugs, and their favorite power! and they will do everything and anything to have it. We're heading for a fall we won't get up from in the next decade, this is all our world not just that 1% who controls our puppet governments all around the world, and we the people let them, and we the people have to stop them before its to late. They have us believing that next time will be better, all I want to know is, how many next times do we the people have to endure? Peace! may the universe watch over you all.
