Fading away of smile

I noticed people have stopped smiling more often.

Seems like the natural happy vibes are slowly disappearing.

Coffee drinker vs Tea drinker

There was a survey done many years ago about who loved outdoor activities among the coffee and the tea drinkers? I'm not sure if it is still relevent today.

The findings : Coffee drinkers were found to love outdoors compared to tea drinkers.

I am a coffee drinker and I love my coffee especially Nescafe. I can't live without it. When I was younger I loved jungle trekking, camping and travelling(still do) . I'm a member of Malaysian Girl Guides Association
(it is known as Girl Scouts in America). Now, I've slowed down a little. Once a while I will join in their activities.

Virtual to Reality

From virtual to reality. Many of you must have read MimiArt's blog about our meeting.

Yes, I met Mimi and her husband this morning and had a sumptuous lunch near my work place. She was a nice and friendly lady. A jovial one too. We chatted for hours at the restaurant. Luckily, the restaurant owner did not chase us out. laugh Thank you Mimi and Art for the nice gift. Loved it.

Prior to the meeting, I told my friends about meeting an online friend. I told them Mimi was from Perak( one of the states in Malaysia) and married to an American. Both my friends were so worried for me. They were afraid I will be scammed or even worse , kidnapped.

Friend A( a long time friend) : Be careful. Don't fall for their sob story and don't go into their car. You never know.

Friend B is my colleague. I asked her if she was free this morning to accompany me. She laughed and laughed when I told her I will be meeting an online friend. Jokingly I told her if I don't come to work on Monday, please call the police. I may be kidnapped. She laughed again and said who would want to kidnap me. I said, you never know. They might sell my organs. Who would want your organs....you are not 100% healthy. Lol ...and we laughed at that joke. She couldn't accompanying me because she has to go back to her hometown.

In fact , this is not my first time meeting an online friends. Friendship across borders. More than 10 years ago, I was on a website( now defunct) similar to CS. I made many friends from all over the world. Most of them were bloggers. Over the years some of them came to Malaysia for holidays and I managed to meet them and gossiped about the bloggers especially those not from our team or shall I say, not of the same wavelength. laugh There are all kinds of people in this type of social media, the jealousy type, the naive, the badass, friendly type , and of course the scammers. Well, life's too short to be serious all the time.

I'm quite new to this site especially the blog section. Now, how do I insert photos?

Writer's block

What do I do when I have writer's block?
I stare at the screen and it stares back.
What shall I write? About my job? Nah...what a boring job. Nothing interesting. Go to work at 6.40am and come back at 3pm but at times 5pm.

About my life? Nothing interesting too. My life is not full of drama nor calm and smooth sailing.

Oooops!! now I have started writing.
laugh

Maybe I should write a diary.

life principles

Do you have any strong life principles and beliefs that you do not violate under any circumstances? a kind of personal code of ethics. Do you want to share it here?
I believe that this set of principles and values shows who you are and who you are not.

Virtual Friendship

I have known a very good friend through online chat since 2006 or 2007. The distance wasn't a problem. He was a great and understanding friend. I could tell him my problems without being judged. These 10+ years, we had on and off friendship. We lost touch for several years until recently. I knew where to find him. He's here in CS and a famous blogger(not the most famous but one of the best) Though we have never met in reality but our friendship is still strong.

To this great friend, thank you for the friendship and being a good listener. handshake

lmao

Lot of funny, crazy, and downright bizarre things have happened where i live. Usually alcohol and other factors were involved but not always. It is a bit isolated here and before the internet, people had their own way about them and their own ideas about how things were. The generations before mine were a breed of their own. I never done any of this but these are all true stories over the years.

Do you know that a 40 gallon oil drum used as a wood stove will end it heartbreak? It will.

A bucket full of week old fermented piss will put out a stove fire. You just have to wait some time for the stench to air out of the place.

Yes a person can lift a iron inboard boat engine by themselves. They will however have to wear a girdle afterwards though to stop their guts from falling out through the massive hernia.

Magic mushrooms and a hidden fish net is a hard way to spend 4 hours before being found.

Trying to goat a cop into stepping out of his car so you can jump him is a unique way of doing things for sure.

A bleach bottle cut to shape do work as a face mask, as long as you remember to rinse the bleach out of it first.

When you are drunk in a strange place, go to a random house and crash on the couch. You will be given breakfast the next morning when they ask who you are and why are you in their house.

When you get a bill from the government, you can just write shit on a piece of paper with shit you just shit out at the table and mail it back (this is true, this really happened).

Not everyone understood that you couldn't just dig up your relative and take their dentures to use for yourself.

Ministers sometimes catch themselves on fire when they try to burn a church down.

Dr. Death.

Old news I know, but not for me.

In a room in Dublin, a man nicknamed "Dr Death" is teaching people how to die. A dozen people are here to plan their suicides.

On a screen, poisonous substances are ranked in order of convenience, availability and painfulness.

Dr Death sits at the front of the room, not facing directly at his audience - almost as if it's too hard to look them in the eye. But they clearly have no inhibitions about being there.

One woman says she has traveled from Singapore for this. The audience is made up mainly of elderly people - many have seen friends and family die in horrific ways.

Their host promises an answer for their desperation. In vivid detail, he describes how their final moments could offer something different. It sounds too good to be true.

Apparently the substance leaves no trace of it in the body after death.

I never knew such a service existed.

Is this a good or bad choice?

Maybe I'm a coward but I strongly believe, while there's life there's hope.dunno confused
