New Sheriff in town

Is Trump's "New Sheriff in Town" persona/behavior going to isolate the U.S. from the rest of the world?

With the threatening of stopping Federal funding to "Sanctuary States," will that isolate certain states from the whole of the country?

Just reported, Mexico's President cancels meeting with Trump.

I am sure there are a lot of emotions ready to spill over here....but, maybe we can keep it objective?

dunno

In the speculative arena, what do you feel is coming up in the future with Trump at the helm?

Extreme Vetting For Refugees

Trump signed an order to safeguard our safety by issuing extreme vetting of refugees.

I hope this will in fact make sure we're safe as hoped.

The question is, with the border still the same, how safe are we? Really? Terrorists are smart. They can avail themselves for an easy entry there not as refugees but illegal migrant.

With the blog below, maybe there is more to understanding the causes of terrorism and why Trump is bent to stop these acts to destroy and or harm us.

When will it stop !...the muslim questions

For the last 30 days or so there has been little blogs about muslims and terror.

When will people look back at history to see why we are where we are, and who is really at fault ? Oil. That is what the modern Middle Eastern geopolitics have usually been about. Given the vast energy resources that form the backbone of western economies, influence and involvement in the Middle East has been of paramount importance for the former and current imperial and super powers, including France, Britain, USA and the former Soviet Union.

Prior to the discovery of oil, the region had been a hotbed for religious conflict and wars over other rich resources and land. The declining Ottoman Empire paved way for the rising European imperial and colonial powers interested in securing various territories and controlling access to Asia. In more recent times, interest in the region has been due to the energy resources there.

As a result, for centuries, western populations have been acclimatized to a type of propaganda and vilification of the Arab and other people of the Middle East, and of Islam in general. This was especially so during the European colonial times, as so vividly examined by Edward Said, in his well-respected book, Orientalism. This negative stereotyping has served to provide justifications for involvement and to ensure stability for the national interests of the powers that want to be involved in the region.

This cultural stereotyping and racism has occurred in the modern times too. Often, especially in the 1980s, war films depicting an Arab or Islamic group as the bad guys were common place, sometimes reflecting prevailing turmoils at the time. Even in the 1990s, those ideas continued, where the bad guy was often a despotic Arab from one of the rogue states and as a result of the terrorist attacks against the US in September 11, 2001 and the resulting War on terror, such imagery is likely to continue. Over such a long time then, such boundaries of discourse about the Middle East have already been framed. To overstep those boundaries is to be labeled anti-Semitic, neo-Nazi, anti-West or some other equally negative label. For most journalists in the mainstream then, self-censorship is often the course, sometimes unknowingly.

To maintain superiority, control and influence over the region, the West has placed corrupt Arab leaders into positions of power and supported the overthrow of those that are not seen as favorable. This has also served to keep their populations at bay, in return for militarization, power and personal wealth of the elite. Sometimes this has been done in the name of fighting communism. The common theme underlying it though has been the struggle to control access to important resources such as oil.

The Middle East is the most militarized region in the world and most arms sales head there. A suppressed people that sees US influence as a major root cause of the current problems in the Middle East has led to a rise in Islamic militancy, acts of terrorism and anti-west sentiment, anti-US in particular. When looking at some of the actions of the US, it can often be seen why this is unfortunately so.

The white helmets..who are they really

The white helmets have been strewn across the media over the past few years, saving children in war torn Syria, they claim to be the Syrian civil defense force on their websites, when in fact they are not.

The filming of them by a professional cameraa team, has sparked a lot of controversy. Two members of the controversial White Helmets organization that operates in Syria have been barred from attending the Academy Awards, the producer of a documentary featuring the NGO said. The film has been nominated for an Oscar.

“They’ve been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize,” she said. “These people are the bravest humanitarians on the planet, and the idea that they could not be able to come with us and enjoy that success is just abhorrent.”

The travel ban for seven predominantly Muslim countries imposed by US President Donald Trump last week also affected acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi, whose film The Salesman is nominated in the Foreign Language category, and Syrian woman Hala Kamil, the subject of Watani: My Homeland, another nomination for the short documentary award.

This is not the first time Saleh has been banned from entering the United States. In April 2016, he had to return to Istanbul after discovering that his visa had been cancelled by the US. This prevented him from receiving an award in Washington at a gala party supported by White Helmets sponsor USAID.

The White Helmets, who also call themselves the Syrian Civil Defense, have been touted as a non-political aid organization focused on saving lives in war-torn Syria. The Oscar-nominated documentary depicts them in line with that narrative.

Critics say it is a foreign-funded propaganda vehicle closely aligned with Islamist militant groups opposing the Syrian government. Members of the group have been accused of stealing vehicles, rescue equipment, and its very name from the government-run Syrian Civil Defense, an organization with a decades-long record of rescue operations in Syria.

‘When cameras are gone they leave people under rubble’ – Aleppo residents on Western-backed White Helmets say.

See the truth behind these untrained men, who dont even know the basics of first aid ! Western backed propaganda to prove the atrocities in Aleppo by Assad...bullshit !

The Right To Keep and Bear Arms

Heres a refresher course for the self evident tuth logic commonsense challenged amongst us!
James Higgins writes...
Constitution of United States of America 1789 (rev. 1992)
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. FIREARMS REFRESHER COURSE
1. “Those who hammer their firearms into plows will plow for those who do not.” Thomas Jefferson 2. Those who trade liberty for security have neither.~ John Adams 3. Freemen do not ask permission to bear arms. 4. An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject. 5. Only a government that is afraid of its citizens tries to control them. 6. Firearms control is not about firearms; it’s about control. 7. You only have the rights you are willing to fight for. 8. Know guns, know peace, know safety. No guns no peace no safety. 9. You don’t shoot to kill; you shoot to stay alive. 10. Assault is a behavior, not a device. 11. 64,999,987 legal firearms owners killed no one yesterday. 12. The United States Constitution © 1791. All rights reserved. 13. The second amendment is in place because idiot politicians ignore all the others. 14. What part of “shall not be infringed, Do you not understand”? 15. Firearms have only two enemies; rust and politicians. 16. When you remove the people’s right to bear arms, you create slaves. 17. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control

OBAMA’S SABOTAGE OF TRUMP EXPOSED, AND IT’S WORSE THAN WE IMAGINED

The Obama administration worked in its final weeks in office to undermine the incoming Trump White House and continues to do so, according to multiple sources both in and out of the White House.

Behind the effort, these sources say, are senior government officials who previously worked under President Obama and remain loyal to his agenda. These individuals leak negative information about the Trump White House and its senior staff to a network of former Obama administration officials who then plant this information in key media outlets including the Washington Post and New York Times.

Why don't we want equality? I am guessing it's to preserve ourselves..

Why don't we want equality? I am guessing it's to preserve ourselves..
But what if we allocated anti-discriminaiton funds to cover our feelings of self loss?
And we saw a figure rather than a myth?

I read on the CIA George Bush made some units required to disclose their discrimination amounts over different periods

Could they make figures to say how much to eliminate discrimination? then maybe phase it in if not all at once.

If we're going to format mars with Terraformating and going to put colonies on mars in 2050 and info age finishes in 150 years when things are auto calced.... anyone have a guess how far away humans have the above rights are? not to say it will or wont but seems what might be considered by some worthwhile?

What if you go okay I don't want it then it goes oh actually I will be better off with it then they phase it in with say 75% majority?

Manipulation by social media, ha. Joke.

The latest conspiracy theory - the Russians, masters of disinformation, are feeding contradictory links into social media, sitting back and laughing themselves sick as we fight each other, lose confidence in our leaders, and generally fall apart.

As IF.

We are way too bright for that, right? Everyone I know agrees exactly with me.

If they don't I simply unfollow them, sorted.

I've never felt more confident about the future of western civilization, things are going exactly right, every leader in place has my utmost confidence and is wise, intelligent, taking good advice and acting on it. We are all at peace with ALL our neighbours, absorbing their differences into our culture and getting stronger as a result.

Everything is going brilliantly, so those pesky Ruskies can take all their attempts to stir trouble and stick them where they will never see the sun. Whoops, that could be Scotland. Change it to where they will never see the light of day again.

Nobody here quarrelling or falling out with anyone else, we are United and Stronger Than Ever in all our history. Take THAT. boxing

Don't even bother to disagree. I have my fingers in my ears LA LA LA LA LA I'm not listening laugh

Here's a propaganda that peaceful Muslims can listen to

Wouldn't be great if we can all learn from the destructions caused by radicals so it won't costs humanity millions of death?

Perhaps there's truly a force out there that controls population and these force manipulate us to justify this acts against humanity to serve that purpose.

Maybe.
