Avoiding the troll blog

but for those who took my comments personally, Art, Bekard - to be 60 or 70 or 80 does not make one automatically senile and I apologise, it never occurred to me that would be taken that way. My father was still practicing medicine at 80 and getting referrals from other specialists in his field because he was like a living reference library, he'd seen it ALL. Some people can be senile at 60 and some remain sharp to 90 plus. I said senile and decrepit with respect to one individual, not intending the implication it was because of his age. I don't think he has changed in essentials in years and years. Given the chance 20 years ago he was just as likely to call national emergencies about non-emergencies before shambling away for a weekend's relaxing golf, for example. JMO.

tip hat

But also JMO, I would say that a job like leading a country calls for a younger person. There's a fair amount of pressure involved, no? I joke about wanting to rule the world but it would be a pretty scary place if I did because an awful lot of people would get their heads lopped off, who has the patience for their shit at this age?

Mic, wrong, the candidate I like is way way down in the listings - Pete Buttigieg. He hasn't a hope of getting in unfortunately, one giant strike against him apart from his age: "The 37-year-old mayor of South Bend, Indiana, launched his presidential bid in late January. Buttigieg — pronounced BOOT-edge-edge — has an implausible resume: He’s a Rhodes Scholar who was elected mayor of this industrial Midwest city while still in his twenties. He’s led an economic revival over seven years in office, during which time he also served a seven-month tour with the Navy in Afghanistan. Buttigieg is openly gay and live-streamed his wedding on YouTube."

But you should hear him talk. Especially by comparison to the old farts of both parties. No shouting, no ranting, no platitudes. He's informed, sensible, intelligent AND clued-up. Not many interviews because he obviously hasn't a hope but he really comes across well on the two I watched. Sadly, being gay, he would naturally instantly be accused of wanting to introduce forced homosexuality in schools roll eyes

No comments, that was all I wanted to say but I didn't care to return to that blog. barf

Update: I expected this blog to be read a couple of times, no comments, and to drop out of sight while still topical. So, since vague pointy-finger blogs are annoying, the troll in question has a name not unlike GoldenShower (gold, diamonds, whatever) was Caucasian, now a Pacific Islander, was living in New York, now on an island, was Christian then switched to Islamic (so far - he hasn't been with us long, who knows how many times he can reinvent himself, watch that space) and the blog was 'creepy Joe Biden'. I objected to it, got called on a couple of my comments, and responded here. tip hat

Oh and GoldenShower said he didn't want Biden near his daughter, so he may well be adding ex-wives and children to his profile at some point but at the time of the blog didn't, um, have a daughter.

Trit trot.

Disbarred...

I see Michael Cohen made it to the news this week. He testified privately Tuesday to the Senate Intelligence Committee and is scheduled to appear (which will be televised) before the House Oversight Committee today.
Thursday he will be in a private meeting before the House Intelligence Committee. Busy guy.
From the story I read this morning, Cohen was automatically disbarred for his felony conviction on five counts of tax evasion and false statements... the list goes on, doesn't it?
But as we all know, Trump had nothing to do with this. Not one iota. Not one.

Report: First Border Poll Of 2019 Shows The Trap-Door Just Dropped Out Under Democrats

Chuck and Nancy thought the media would cover for them – but Trump is pulling the lever on them.

Democrats like Schumer and Pelosi are putting up a nasty fight over the border wall. Why?

They might claim Americans want them to. It seems they believe most of us want outsiders flooding out border.

Liberals claim only Trump’s “deplorables” really want the wall.

But a new poll proves them utterly wrong.

From Washington Times:

A new poll reveals that very few Americans say that illegal immigration is not a problem.

A wide-ranging Economist/YouGov survey gauged the level of concern Americans have on the issue to find that only 7 percent of the overall public say illegal immigration is “not a problem”; 2 percent of Republicans, 7 percent of independents and even 12 percent of Democrats agree with the statement.

Canadian GoFundMe Raises $6B In Two Hours To Pay For Privacy Hedge Along Entire US Border

"In a stunning rebuke of the 46th best president in American history, the United States’ northern neighbour shattered numerous crowdsourcing records today, when it raised billions and billions and billions of dollars to plant and maintain a living barrier between themselves and the adjacent idiocracy.

“We’d heard that a bunch of people down in the You-Ess-of-Eh had decided to empty their wallets out for a wall that won’t block anything other than half of all escape routes, when their dirty bomb of a president melts through his retaining barrier,” explains the man who started the campaign, Tom Candy, of Fewmarket, Ontario.

“So naturally our first thought was: how can we best deal with this shitshow as it unfolds directly beside us, and add a little ever-greenery to a world which, it has to be said, is looking a little bleak right now? The answer was, of course, legalizing marijuana. But with that already having been done, our next thought was: let’s plant a privacy hedge.”

The campaign started with the modest goal of raising $250,000, which was estimated to be enough to pay for an ad on Fox & Friends asking Americans to help Canada secure its border against the dreaded MAGA-16 gang.

“But when we achieved that ambition in less than one hot minute (Celsius), we realized we needed to expand our operations from trolling the dredges to bankrolling the hedges,” Candy says, as he directs another tractor trailer into a vast warehouse he has stocked with young yew saplings, waiting to take their positions along the formerly longest undefended border in the universe.

“And in under two hours we collected $6 billion Canadian. Which is extraordinary, really, given the time of year, and current cost of hockey tickets.”

In an interesting side-bar, one that some have taken to indicate that the stresses of modern populism have already migrated north, a number of spin-off campaigns have begun, calling for privacy hedges between many of Canada’s own provinces.

“We’re seeing funds started on both sides of the Rockies, so it looks like B.C. and Alberta are going to work together to block each other out,” says living barrier expert, Mick Terser. “And Quebec has raised over $10 million for their ‘haie de la vie privée’, to get something between themselves and the increasingly desperate Ontarians, as they try to escape Doug Ford’s term as Revengier. Heck, even Newfoundland has started a petition to rename the Gulf of St. Lawrence the ‘Aqua Hedge’. So yes, it’s a very fractious year everywhere you look.”

News of the cross-country shrubbery came as a surprise to many Americans, who were pretty sure they’d heard that the Canadians had already planted one of those two years ago, in the days following the U.S. decision to elect a discarded traffic pylon – found in a ditch on the road to nowhere – as their leader.

“No,” corrects Candy. “That was a joke. This time we’re serious.”"

Use the link in your head....

The press used to report the news to keep us informed....their mandate. But now their purpose is to keep us misinformed. Sounds simple doesn't it, but when we are constantly being barraged by the media through the internet, on TV and in the dwindling news organizations that even provide a paper feed, it's hard to ignore todays issues....(unless you are a radical lefty and drink only from the poisoned well.)But so many Americans are pressed (no pun) to stay afloat that the last issue they have time to involve themselves in is politics. Many see it as a no win, frustrating pursuit of needless anxiety. And from that pool we draw our voters. My point being, when the press has an agenda, a mission, if you will, they have abdicated their mandate, their responsibility, to inform the public. They no longer deserve the honor of being referred to as the fourth estate, a co-equal branch of government, a source of information or help. Reagan said it, (sic) government is not the solution, it's the problem and the media isn't helping posing as a wolf in sheep's clothing.

And that is where we are right now...being lied to by a corrupted institution that no longer serves the public interest, no longer deserves that recognition as a subsidiary of government, no longer deserves our trust. The only way we can completely rid ourselves of their influence, and their viral impact, is to remain independent, resourceful and objective. In other words, use your God given talent to use your own brain and not their xeroxed one..... It may be the only option you have left to make an intelligent decision or an intelligent vote.

Ted Cruz and his platform

He is big on emphasizing about the illegal immigrants and their negative impact in our country. A man who was deported 20 times, another for 15 times and so on and on.

My question is, how can that ever be possible. The same man who was convicted and deported came back with 20 different names and never got arrested?

Maybe we should just keep them in our jails for the rest of their living life so they wont come back and commit more crimes? Of course, our expense on keeping them in our prison is not cheap either. The report is that about 200 grand per criminal up to a million dollar per year.

Not good no matter how we look at it.

Anyways, Cruz is big on making these criminals pay for their crime. I think he will win if Trump will not run for reelection.

Good morning blog world.

I am in Texas and there is about a thousand of them posts on every corner advertising his candidacy.

Thank you all for your reads and or comments if any. I am busy and might not be able to respond to any comments but I will try to get back now and then.teddybear
