AI. PROGRESS & DEVELOPMENT. UNSTOPPABLE.

The progress of AI can not be prevented according to experts, and the future of
this planet is in jeopardy. As long as there are countries that suppress their population, the number of new ways to observe individuals behaviour will increase, and anyone who steps out of line with government policies would be taken care of. Also the development of armies of robots would be inevitable, and would replace humans, and could be used to invade weaker countries.
Already, closed circuit cameras are used in autocracies such as China, to watch their citizens, and what hope is there to ever reverse the future escalation of AI.

WUHAN AND COVID

According to some investigators on the pandemic, work at the Wuhan laboratory in China involved the genetic manipulation of a SARS virus at the request of the military, in order for it to be used as a bio weapon. It is also believed that a vaccine was being developed to possibly immunise the Chinese population against the produced virus. The COVID virus was not found naturally, but was completely new, which supports the possibility that it was deliberately produced and a leak resulted due to inadequate precautions. Staff wore a mask and white coat only in the lab.
This is just speculation, but many people still believe the virus was due to a leak.

This day in history

Today is the 10,483rd anniversary of the invention of the wheel. It's creator, Ug was born in the village of Grot (population 15) and was orphaned at a young age when his hunter/gatherer parents were eaten by a giant carnivorous chipmunk (now extinct).

Some of Ug's early inventions included the stick, and the sharpened stick. It was obvious to anyone who knew Ug that he was destined for greatness.

Ug moved to the big city (population 27) to carve his niche as a...niche carver and during the course of his endeavors, Ug serendipitously realized that large stones could be rolled if he chipped away the jagged edges.

Ug was working on a particularly large stone when he decided to rest and have a beer... or five. As Ug later tried to push the stone up a hill, he inadvertently discovered potential energy when he stumbled and lost his footing. He apparently had one too many before getting behind the wheel.

This day in history also marks the 10,483rd anniversary of the first road kill.

recently caught on video in India

Many people witnessed it. Supposedly a UFO was seen near also.

What do you think it is?

dunno

I remember when people first started carrying cell phones with cameras...the nay-sayers of UFO's would say, there are so many cameras, why hasn't anything been caught on them. Well...maybe in due time.

India's race to the moon...

I just tuned in to see live coverage of The Indian Space Research Organization (IRSO) Chandrayaan-3 craft that has successfully landed on the moon. Congratulations. Last week a Russian attempt failed and their craft crashed.

Live stream going on now...

The moon

We have traveled there and walked upon its surface. To my knowledge, there are no pictures of the dark side of the moon. Why is that?

Okay. One explanation of that is because it is cold...too cold for humans to survive. If that is the case, why not send a rover to take pictures of it? We have rovers on Mars.

What do you think the dark side of the moon looks like...or is?

It has been said that is where the aliens who "watch" us reside.

Blog killah...

It could happen to anyone... post a blog that gets a fair amount of comments. Then one person (often a troll or someone who rarely comments to blogs) becomes the blog killer by dropping a comment, like a fart in an elevator. Everyone drops dead and the blog fades into the sunset!
There must be a scientific explanation why this occurs, I know I don't have that answer...

APOPHIS THE ASTEROID

A huge asteroid is expected to fly by earth on Friday 13th April 2029. It will get as close as 19000 miles from earth. It is 340 meters long and last visited earth briefly on 19 June 2004. if this object ever collided with this planet it would be a doomsday scenario.
Future plans are to put craft on asteroids to mine their valuable metals such as gold, silver, zinc, copper. If this could be achieved on the asteroid belt, this would of course be so valuable. Hopefully, the appropriate technology to nudge asteroids away from collision with earth will have been tested.

Get Way More Food For Your Money

I was making a can of tomato soup yesterday, following the instructions on the can. Being a man of science, I decided to do a little experiment. Instead of adding one can of water, I added 8 cans of water. Much to my surprise, the soup came out just as thick, creamy, and delicious as when I added only one container of water. When I ate it, it was just as satisfying, and it carried me through to supper, so it was just as nutritious. I tried a can of Chef Boyardi raviolis, cutting it with nine cans of water, and got the same satisfying result. I had equal success with Dinty Moore stew, cream style canned corns, spaghetti sauce, and almost everything else I tried, finding almost no difference from the extra water.

So, if you really want to save some money in the kitchen, just dilute canned foods with several times more water than the instructions suggest. You won't notice the difference, you will enjoy just as much nutrition, and you will get way more food for your dollar.

cryogenics: my coolest blog ever!

I read an article last week about doctors employing science on patients where they bring the body temperature to nearly freezing of someone who requires hours of surgery where they would expire under normal conditions. The blood gets replaced with other liquids that creates a state of suspended animation. This borders on true cryogenics... a branch of physics and the study of extremely low temperatures.

Animation legend Walt Disney died in 1966 from complications of lung cancer and reports that his body was frozen waiting for one day when a cure was found that he could be revived for treatment. Don't hold your breath on this... the story was a hoax.

Tonight I pulled up some YouTube videos where people (with enough money) can be frozen in hopes that they can be brought back to life at a later date. The link is to Anita, a woman who died of cancer. She was transported to a cryonics lab where her body was preserved and frozen in liquid nitrogen.

This documentary is very cool...
