To Infinity, and Beyond? (At the Microscopic Level)?

This would seem to suggest Infinity is possible in the reverse direction (Think Zeno's Paradox). It is all a matter of scale. To think in this way; is to understand how the Big Bang could have come from an Infinitely Small Singularity. In fact, all of the Cosmological Evidence (background radiation) would seem to point toward the veracity of this statement.......

Consider this, now, from the Reverse Point of View: Since the MS is Infinite in one direction; then why not the other way around? Likewise, this would seem to suggest that the Universe is Infinite at Vast Scales; which the human mind cannot process; and indeed fits the Mathematical Definition of Genuine Infinity....(there are various interpretations of this).......

Fractals at ANY level of magnification will produce self-similar but NOT Identical Patterns (generated by the information contained in the Original Set)....

Everything in Nature is Fractal; (The classic example would be a snowflake) - they are all indeed different, yet superficially the same; due to their self-similarity. Other examples would include leaves on a tree, and forks of lightning....

The Universe itself, is Fractal/Chaotic

This is why (mathematically) these Fractal Sets are very significant and important to study...

The Mandelbrot Set is probably the most famous fractal set; although there are many others (depending on the mathematical parameters chosen, and, of course, the initial function)...

that HC can increase mortality, and heart issues, in the treatment of Covid -19. British Medical Journal embarrassed, again. As was the Lancet for touting an association between vaccinations and Autism, based merely of an anecdotal case series of 8 pediatric patients. Any lessons here? There are quite a few for fair minded folks to learn from.
For starters, detecting and characterizing valid relationships between illness and other factors in free living human populations, is tricky business. Policy from science rests on much more than research outcomes, however seemingly robust. Less so if results are weak, or inconsistent.
Just as important, we must be ever vigilant of how politics can influence science. The Universities and research labs are largely staffed and administered by folks of one political view. Just as those of big Pharma, perhaps in other profit oriented biased directions.
And relying reflexively on clearly biased media resources, such as the NYT, or Washington Post, for scientific information, is fraught with danger of being in error. Reporting/journalism often has become political activism, leading to similar invalid information. Fortunately, we now have much better understanding of how this goes, with the clear existence of Trump Derangement-Hilary Deficit Syndromes. It goes like this. One reads a story on some biased outlet. Instantly, in a rush to support ones side, and to feel smug and clever, without reflection, the typing/posting starts. It's all made much worse when the sufferers of the Syndromes have little, and often none, of the needed education for supporting such often biased assertions. Teaching in HS, and a little time working as a lab assistant, or realtor, etc., are honorable gigs, but inadequate to the task.
Finally, RED MAN BAD, is the deep syndromic emotion. But RM not always wrong, is often the truth..

It's reported in the news that the Aurora borealis also called the Northern Lights will be visible in several US states and parts of Canada next week. Weather permitting, the activity will be high July 12th and 13th.

The phenomena is described as electrically-charged particles (ions) in solar winds that come from the sun. They move away in waves or a stream of plasma (ionized gas)
coming in contact with the Earth's magnetic field. Some of the ions become trapped and will consequently interact with the Earth's ionosphere causing the ions to glow.

Seen in a clear night sky, it creates a moving shimmering mostly blue-greenish light affect.

A Juggalo (Clown Posse fan) friend of mine told me a few weeks ago that she had seen 3 lights in the night sky moving in a strange triangular formation. Although many other people on the road had also stopped their cars and gotten out to look at the 3 bright white lights, she took a picture of them for me (and her) and sent them to me. When I expand the positions I see them. Sure enough, 3 bright, white, lights in an Equilateral triangle formation. She advised they were pretty bright and moved together in formation before finally just going way up and disappearing. I found no online reports about that day's sightings. Therefore I filed it away as a Hmmm incident.

Yesterday morning she advised of a second incident the night before (Tuesday). Again 3 lights in a triangle formation darting here, darting there, going up, then down, then darting away again. She doesn't believe they were more than 5 miles distant. What was different this time is that the lights changed color, Red, blue, green, yellow and white. Seemingly at random. Sje could hear a faw away hum. Then they went way up high and the lights went out and a few seconds later the noise stopped too. Again she took a photo and sent it to me. Yes 3 noticiably bright lights in triandle formation. A blue, a red and a white. I went online and scrolled backwards in the FlightAware air traffic radar for the time period she described. Nothing found. To me that is interesting. Visible by camera and the naked eye, but not by radar?

A more extensive online search pulls up a similar report from a bunch of US Marines on Maneuvers, about 50 of them who also reported, in 2021, seeing a triangle of lights in the sky. However unlike my friend they had aerial flare capability she doesn't. So when it was overhead they provided some local overhead illumination to light it up. They reported seeing a black Delta shaped aircraft that could hover and fly in any direction without turning that was at least the size of a football field. Seconds after being illuminated it slew sideways and then straight up, it went once around the sky, horizon to horizon, very quickly and then simply disappeared. Several of the Marines made posts about the incident, but it is not generally believed the incident was included in the list of known UAP incidents.

We sometimes see bloggers vapidly copying often biased fake news reports on one topic or another, distinguished only in their one track attacking of our Brilliant and Dazzling, promise keeping, Ivy League graduate, President Trump. In the ensuing back and forth of postings, these syndrome victims then display only marginal education on most related topics, having to do with their initial copied blog text or videos, and always with a striking inability to appreciate other sides of the argument. Often these writings involve scientific, medical and even psychiatric themes.

Although roundly accepted as the hairdressers of medicine, psychiatrists have made a valid clinical observation now and again. One of the most robust relates to the strength of the fixed beliefs, and behaviors, in the delusional syndromes. These victims have traditionally focused on delusions having strong popular exposure in various media. Examples, often humorous, are from radiation, space visitors, and such. These folks are almost always fun to listen to, initially at least, and almost never dangerous. In one subtype, however, delusions of jealousy, usually of a spouse's imagined extramarrital adventures, violence has occured.

In the Trump Derangement-Hilary Deficit Syndromes, which often rise clinically to delusional diatheses, these trends are strong indeed. So when we see even a slight change in their presentations, it is noteworthy.

We now see statements from such sad cases as---"if Trump is reelected". It's hard to over emphasize how different this is from their usual take on the political world, and accordingly, at variance with the evolution of validly diagnosed delusional syndromes. We at the Vierk Institute are intrigued, and are on it. Typically, those who suffer from delusional syndromes will only relax their fixed beliefs with the use of powerful antipsychotic agents, and even then, only partly so. Talk therapies won't touch it at all. Is there a Nobel Prize somewhere in this astute clinical finding? Stay tuned.

Set your clocks if you want to catch the longest partial lunar eclipse in 580 years.
Called a Frost Moon, NASA states this eclipse will last 3 hours and 28 minutes, they also state the East coast USA it's expected to be visible this Friday, after 2am to 4am and 11pm to 1am on the West coast.
(So... what happened to the 3 hours?)

This temple was built in North Cambodia in the 12th century. One thing that stands out on the decorative panels is a design of what appears to be a prehistoric animal. A stegosaurus. How could people of that time have known about such a creature? It is not until 200 years ago that any such animals could be identified.

It seems that there was one mutation in the genetic material of the virus, which enabled the virus to infect humans.

This mutation coded for an alanine, instead of a threonine (different amino acids). This change made it more
difficult for certain sugars to bind to the attachment spike protein which enables better attachment with the human receptor. Apparently, those sugars got in the way of the attachment.

It is likely, that this mutation has occurred many times and until the virus infected a human, it may not have been a trait that was selected as favorable.
As we have witnessed with the emergence of new variants, it seems that the virus readily mutates.
Those mutations that are advantageous to the spread of the virus are selected for.

While it is possible, that the bat directly came in contact with the human, it is more likely, that the bat bit an animal (perhaps a pet, livestock, or other animal that comes in contact with humans) and it was passed onto humans by such an intermediate animal, perhaps from a sneeze or cough from that animal.
