A sticky business

This is all new to me. As i mentioned, i sold a truck to a retired man. I agreed to have a coffee with my client. In other news, my manager wanted to have dinner until he learned im 9 years his senior. Things are a bit awkward. I really love my job and dont want to screw things up. Its so weird that when i was younger, nobody was interested. Now that im freaking old, i got offers out the yin yang. Why cant life be simple? Im so confused.

Day 3 on the floor

Got nice feedback from the higher uppers. Was told they heard "great things" about me. I'm fearless at talking to people and will chat up people until they love me. Lol. I'm not pretending to know it all. My gimmick is to be as amazed as the buyer, because I am. I tell my customers how the advances in autos would have made my life easier. If course, I put a silly spin on things. Laugh at me, I don't care. I'm the most honest salesperson you'll ever meet.

Here we go again

With life’s uncertainty one must be proactive. So, tomorrow I have a job interview with another furniture store. It is not known but the signs indicate a potential store closing, indicating a potential income loss for me.

I’ve already mourned the loss a few weeks ago. I had a feeling.

Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. I plan on giving my associate a dvd of Thelma and Louise. God damn if we weren’t good together! Appreciate every day you’re not suicidal.

Not a lot going on here so

I’m posing a poem

“Would you consider moving to Paris and being my model?” Said the poverty stricken American artist circa 1830
With nothing but what could be carried

“Would you drink red wine in goblets that we tucked in pockets,
Stolen on a drunken dare?”
“Would you recline on a chaise, and pose?”

The city is busy and the artist watches them watch you
A classic beauty that elevates disparity
As the artist records with coal

The struggle bears fruit
As the Artist absorbs, through eyes and mind
“I will share you with the world” said the poverty stricken American artist

Switchblade: A flying car...

I'm cleaning up bookmarks and came across a story about an electric car with airplane capabilities. The story said it's 14 years in the making and going through it's next series of tests. In July, the FAA determined it was safe for flight testing.

Expected to retail for $170,000 when it hits the market and the reserve list is up to 1,600. A deposit of $2,000 is due within 45 days after the first vehicle takes flight.

I've seen lots of 'Popular Mechanics' reviews of flying cars... dating back to when I was a kid. I'm skeptical as I cannot recall any makers who have viable aircraft for sale.

Always reading the comments, I found some interesting details, like requiring a pilots license, insurance for both a car and airplane, needing expensive safety avionics not mentioned in the story, only able to fly in or out of FAA certified airports, only certified A&P mechanics are allowed to work on the vehicle. Not one comment I read had anything positive to say about the Switchblade.

Big on hype, bigger on B.S.

Since you can only take off and land from an airport, the dream of flying out of snarled traffic isn't going to happen.
Maybe the prototype will get used in the next Mad Max movie!

Let old ghosts resurface

The haunting isn't so bad. We walk among the living and the dead.

i lit a cigarette and looked at the screen

i was thinking: there's not a lot of romance on CS. it would seem like the original CS members can't find a spark in this tribe. then i was thinking: maybe if we tag ourselves CS and MD, we can try a different tribe. then i was thinking: maybe gather some volunteers for a search party, head hunt or perhaps kidnap members from eharmony or penty of fish...to be tagged accordingly.

or, we can focus on what's really important, Trump

chatillion's laser operated motor conk-out gadget...

Years ago I blogged about patenting a device that when pointed at a vehicle and pressing a button it would send a burst of energy knocking out the computer control of the vehicle.

My state of mind at the time was to fry the control making the car (truck, etc.) useless and the person would have buy a new computer chip.

Computer chips are very expensive and in most cases very difficult to replace when basically, all I want to achieve is a simple 'don't cut me off' approach... maybe a more sophisticated jamming device would be suited for this purpose.

When would I use it?
Lots of places. Tailgaters for example. No matter how fast you drive, which lane you use, there are some people who will actually change lanes to follow you and stay 2 car lengths at 70 miles per hour.

One click and Zaaaappp... the computer in their car resets causing the motor to shut off! Good bye tailgater...

I should be in the way to the patent attorney's office, instead I'm heading to work.

(NOTE: For those who don't understand humor in a blog... creating, owning or using such a device would probably be in trouble with the law)

How 1 electric car can destroy 3 cars in less than 5 minutes

What you see in this video is an electric car with a shorted cell at a charging station setting off all the rest.
Note the time it took to destroy 3 cars. The first car was destroyed in about 38 seconds.
The fire cannot be extinguished with water.
