I agree, modern times have distorted our approach to courting. A door being opened, dressing for an occasion or pulling a chair out.

I try to practice these things as regular behavior. I am female but I will hold a door open for either sex. If there is a special occasion such as a date or finer restaurant, I will dress for such an occasion. By making an extra effort, in my mind, that makes the activity more special, even if the other party doesn't notice. If my efforts are lost on my date or a stranger, I don't care. I will continue to do it.

In my mind, equal doesn't mean rate of pay or title. It is paying respect to both sexes equally. If one doesn't appreciate these things, they may have not learned common courtesy. Their loss.

Just having some fun. No insults intended. I stand firmly in my delusion that this is a dating site. Have fun debating social injustices.

COVID knocked out car manufacturing worldwide. New cars, factory parts, after-market parts. Everything.
If you were lucky enough to 'get in line' for a new car, the wait (in the beginning) was months. Because of this, the value of used cars went up.

No secret here. It's supply & demand. Cars that are 3 years old selling for the same price as when they were new.

I don't 'need' a car, but I've been eyeing the market and shopping for a 'future car' as the one I currently own should easily last 10 years, I'm just considering something a little larger.

Visiting a dealer for a model I wanted to test drive, they only had one to demo. It's not for sale. They are taking orders on it that are approximately 6 to 8 weeks out depending on the color and options.

I asked the price and was told some 'strange code' like 6250. I asked what is a 6250 and the salesman mumbled something. Figuring where he was going, I clearly asked "Are you charging $6,250 over sticker price" his response was "It's negotiable"

An associate of mine sold cars and told me the hottest SUV right now is the KIA TELLURIDE at a sticker price of over $42,000.
Currently, there are bidding wars with people paying over $10,000 sticker just to get one!

I went to the KIA site to check availability, but I was unable to get information on this model. It's not found in inventory for all the local dealerships.

At some point, chips and cars will become available and the demand for new cars will diminish. Those inflated used-car prices will begin to level out too. That means (just like house buying) if you paid too much for a car now, in a few years your devalued used car price will be giving you sticker shock!

the evolution of me. this is prompted by a blog here. i'm mainly writing about my experience which will differ from most. i will preface by stating that i have been in long term relationships, marriage, etc. that resulted in making personal sacrifices that i found not very beneficial to my self esteem or finances.

there is give and take in relationships, sometimes the taking keeps taking while what is left to give becomes limited to none. sure, i just didn't meet the right person. is there a right person? of course, we all want to believe that.

then there is the natural sex drive. sure, there is m**turbation, until the "right person" comes along. or, there is the wrong person who woos and awakens the romantic side, making love the motivation for the permission for making love, not sex.

i know myself, and i know i'm a sucker for being the object for sweet notes and fantasies. it would seem, the lower i felt, the easier i was to cave to a man's desires. that "special" feeling that opens legs wide and turns lust into commitment.

not these days. today, i look at sex the same way as any other activity. i find sex fun. i've learned that i don't have to log time with a man to validate the act. if there is attraction, why not? the friend with benefit keeps me fit and although there is give and take, it is only for the simple act of sex. when the event is over, i can go back to my life, and enjoy life on my terms. i'm sure many would find this selfish. i've always been selfish with my time. small doses of people is about all i can handle. i'm not selfish with much of anything else. if i'm eating and someone is hungry, i'll share. if someone needs a few bucks and i have a few bucks to give, i'll give it.

i am always changing. i won't ever be who i was years ago and i won't be the same tomorrow as i am today. i don't expect my friend to be in it for the long haul but we offer the physical contact to meet needs that are otherwise left wanting.

I think its pretty safe to say that Jolene was an Irish hotty from the internet, who else has emerald eyes and auburn hair? We could probably even narrow it down to a few candidates, but lets face it thats only going to piss off the place-getters and orange-peelers.

What's going to happen, if you're at the supermarket and you see salami is selling two-for-one so you get two. You've already got four grapefruits in the trolley. As the trolley goes over a bump, the salamis bounce around and settle in a crossed position. Which we all know what that means. And so hastily you try to cover up things with some zucchinis, which unfortunately sends out a message to a different crowd. And so, in exasperation, you try to cover the whole thing up behind a French loaf of bread. Please help, I'm so confused right now.
