To paraphrase Rousseau, man is born free, yet everywhere he is caged. Barbed-wire, concrete walls, and gun-toting guards confine people to the nation-state of their birth. But why? The argument for open borders is both economic and moral. All people should be free to move about the earth, uncaged by the arbitrary lines known as borders.
Not every place in the world is equally well-suited to mass economic activity. Nature’s bounty is divided unevenly. Variations in wealth and income created by these differences are magnified by governments that suppress entrepreneurship and promote religious intolerance, gender discrimination, or other bigotry. Closed borders compound these injustices, cementing inequality into place and sentencing their victims to a life of penury.
The overwhelming majority of would-be immigrants want little more than to make a better life for themselves and their families by moving to economic opportunity and participating in peaceful, voluntary trade. But lawmakers and heads of state quash these dreams with state-sanctioned violence—forced repatriation, involuntary detention, or worse—often while paying lip service to “huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”
Wage differences are a revealing metric of border discrimination. When a worker from a poorer country moves to a richer one, her wages might double, triple, or rise even tenfold. These extreme wage differences reflect restrictions as stifling as the laws that separated white and black South Africans at the height of Apartheid. Geographical differences in wages also signal opportunity—for financially empowering the migrants, of course, but also for increasing total world output. On the other side of discrimination lies untapped potential. Economists have estimated that a world of open borders would double world GDP.
Even relatively small increases in immigration flows can have enormous benefits. If the developed world were to take in enough immigrants to enlarge its labor force by a mere one percent, it is estimated that the additional economic value created would be worth more to the migrants than all of the world’s official foreign aid combined. Immigration is the greatest anti-poverty program ever devised.
And while the benefits of cross-border movements are tremendous for the immigrants, they are also significant for those born in destination countries. Immigration unleashes economic forces that raise real wages throughout an economy. New immigrants possess skills different from those of their hosts, and these differences enable workers in both groups to better exploit their special talents and leverage their comparative advantages. The effect is to improve the welfare of newcomers and natives alike. The immigrant who mows the lawn of the nuclear physicist indirectly helps to unlock the secrets of the universe.

Predicting Earthquakes and why we need them.
HellO dear readers.
So here are some of the common resources we use in our society today that we take from the earth:
gold, diamonds, water, timber, copper silver and most importantly fossil fuels, gas coal petrol.
And many meters/miles below the surface we have oil in its purest form, and what is oils' common purpose today? to lubricate engines.
So isnt it safe to say that the reason we have oil in the earth is to create a smooth transition when we have earthquakes?
Imagine in concept that the earths soil is on a massive conveyor belt, and the belt itself is the soil and that rollers itself is a 2nd belt that is impenetrable by conventional means. And like rain it recycles itself through earthquakes?
Why?
Well to recycle old soil with new soil ofc.
So how is an earthquake made?
Well like an actual conveyor belt how does that operate?
with electricity...
So by simple logic when clouds cluster together to generate lightning it goes deep into the earth and will pass a pocket of gas caves created by previous earthquakes and ignite the gas to create an explosion, and depending on the depth of the pocket of gas + the strength of the lightning bolt in-correlation to the pocket of gas will determine the size of the earthquake. But we are safe because the depth of the explosion is what stops the explosion from exploding above ground like a really thick wall and it sets a bomb to penetrate hundreds of meters/miles thick soil.
But if the oil is less within the ground now the more jagged the earthquakes will be, because there is no longer a smooth transition as it recycles the old used soil with the fresh and new material.
So now you can predict that within 3 days of a lightning storm an earthquake is likely to follow and depending on the size of the bolt/s will determine the size of the earthquake.
I hope you like my story its one of my favourites I like to tell others. Oh and fyi the city I live in are prone to earthquakes. And because we are such a small land mass in comparison to the likes of US Aus and Europe we feel them all across the land.

NOT! Before the moonbats' gloating becomes too manic, just a bit of facts and science. The American people are always speaking somehow, but it's important to vet what they say. In USA political science, not armchair uneducated ranting, it's a maxim that the out of executive power party picks up seats, often in both branches of the legislature. So we recall, in the case of the serial rapist, disbarred attorney, scam foundation Clinton, the number was just under 50; and as for our last Affirmative Affirmative POTUS it was a bit over 60. This with the wind hard on their stern from a worshipping biased left wing media. Which fair thinking educated person can honestly say anything even close to this for our Brilliant President Trump. Yet in spite of almost universal predictions of gains of 40-50 in the House, and a fair chance of a slight upset in the now strongly Republican Senate,---well, all with eyes and ears will see what really happened. And Nevada, and some other races are still in play. We only await the day soon when Justice Ginsberg will not awaken from one of her many on the job naps. Senatorial lock in of the SCOTUS for generations. But I digress. And while brilliant strategically, to have mostly restricted Trump's barnstorming to those states where the Senate seats were most in play, it really paid off. I just wish he had advisors that also had him in those places where House seats had a chance of remainiing in, or changing hands, but I'll take the relatively tiny number of around 30 such House seats, compared to the above, and considering the near lockstep goosestepping of the altleft media. But further, the results in Georgia, Florida and many local RACES, should put the alt left race baiters on notice about whipping about the R or -phobia words without a bit more evidence, and educated thought. The alleged 40% base, actually closer to 46% if the Hilary landslide polsters are ignored, is poopooed at the dems peril, including 2 years from now. Lots more, but to finish, I'll merely add that the younger alt lefty (college) moonbats only turned out in marginally greater numbers, and the same can be said for minorities, such as the unthinking racially motivated B Block, that turned out 90%+ for the last president, ---who declared that they speak Austrian in Austria, among hundreds of other uneducated proclamations, that noone who made it into the Ivy League on merrit and not white guilt racial think would stupidly utter, no? In Oesterrreich, es wird doch Oesterreichisch gesprochen, nicht wahr?

I was reading through Track’s thread about marijuana legalization, in the forum. There were a few comments about the relative effects of pot and alcohol. I know very little about marijuana and it’s excessive use so I can’t comment on that, but I can give an idea of what you might expect if you let alcohol get a grip. I suppose everyone has the right to fcuk up their own life, but, with alcohol, that's very difficult to do without fcuking up the lives of others. 
At first you dismiss the suggestion that it might be becoming a problem as ridiculous, and the suggester as a killjoy, even though it isn’t actually bringing you any joy. When it does become a problem you remain the only participant in it who doesn’t see it as such. Your worsening hostility is not the result of your “recreational” activity, or so you say; it’s the understandable consequence of being nagged about it.
Your ability to spot sinister motives behind the most mundane of situations is getting sharper, and your conclusions are often so preposterous as to astonish even those who have become used to them. The hostility now expresses itself in physical violence; although the damage done to the subject of your anger is usually less than the damage done to yourself by crashing into things when you fall over. You hardly eat anymore.
By now the scenes you’ve created and the arrival of the odd paramedic and police car must be making it obvious to the neighbours that all is not well, but exactly how much detail they are aware of must remain a matter of speculation to those involved in the drama; leaving them uncertain about exactly how much embarrassment they should be feeling. if half the world knows something must be done about the things that are wrong with the world ... is folding our arms and looking at each other in dissaproval really the answer to everything ? if we know that the polititions do'nt really control anything and they themselves are speaking about the government in a third person ... is it time for the entire population of earth suppose to finally come together to unite under one law of equalibrium of all for one and one for all ? are we all just waiting to see who's god is going to show up to kick somebody else's god's bum-bum ?after all that i've learned ... all the gods came together and created humans in celebration of thier great work .
