The thing that surprises me most about many humans is how many find happiness in others misery!! I don't believe there is such a thing as the pursuit of happiness , rather discovering joy from time to time .
deedee123xo: I think the suffering only happens to those lost of their true self. I know people who have known themselves from a very young age and never seem to have had suffering....yet others suffer till the day they die.
Ive heard it said....in life pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.
Lets just sayd that my Moobs are big, floppy and hairy!
I kind of live my life very stoically, I have to admit. I kind of buy things if I need them but dont rush out for the latest thing, and I ignore fashion. So ya I guess I'm a Stoic to a large extent. But the stoics were all about getting involved in things as well, and that area I've fallen down on.

I gotta admit, the whole Stoic thing attracts me. It's a Robinson Crusoe type of thing...
mollybaby: I thought those babies would be too high to fit under your bed
They're too high for me...I tried on a pair of stilettos recently just for the heck of it and couldn't take one step without doing some fancy footwork moves. Twasn't pretty I tell ya.
ChesneyChrist: To be honest I don't believe happiness will be normal until western society hits rock bottom. The breakdown of respect and punctuation, depression without the tragic circumstances, the love of bad boys and Donald Trump and imo reflect the comfortable person's need for nasty, the emasculation and boredom of being wealthy, and the first world invention of sorrow. The super ego torments itself in lieu of real problems - it's to counter decadence(to keep feet on the ground). The pursuit of happiness is a sorry affair, the generation said to have never had it so good is the most depressed, the boredom of being spoilt goes out of it way to make the world unpleasant.
That attitude might be why you lost The Revolutionary War.
The Pursuit of Happiness is a clause written by Thomas Jefferson in The Declaration of Independence.
In the movie Pursuit of Happiness (a true story) with Will Smith, his character had lost his job, home, everything. He was down on his luck trying to make ends meet with his young son. He learned that he had the right to life, liberty and to pursue happiness, meaning his future wasn't going to be handed to him. He wasn't entitled to it, he had to work hard for it and he did. He started his own company and today he is worth 60 million dollars.

I always admire women who can strut confidently on skyscrapers
