Fallingman: Indeed. Whatever one's reservations about Obama's potential - and there are legitimate reasons to be cautious - it is important to realise that the bad guys ARE in power and that they need to be removed from it!

ttom500: The Taliban rejected a offer to negotiate with joint Pakistani and Afghani over the border incidents. Saying that the offer to negotiation was a deal set up in Wshington, DC. Deal was set up by Betaris, who want to talk to the low and middle level Taliban to reduce the violence.

:-)

Which opens the door for the next evolvement of this.

Joint Afghani and Paskistani military operations in the NW Territories.
The Taliban should have taken Bertaris offer of negotiations. They know can be hit with anvil and hammer tactics of the joint countries units. That can chased them deep into either country.

No need to put a 100,000 troops in there if we have joint Afghani and Pakistani operations/units.

And yes......6 months ago.....your truely papered for this very thing.

I agree, too bad they haven't done this yet. It would make a lot more sense to have the two countries working together and crossing each other's borders in persuit of an enemy using those borders for escape and evasion. I think if this thing starts the Taliban are going to be really sorry they didn't negotiate.

Another ghost comes from the Obama closet. LA Times has a video tape of Obama attending a diner.....with a Columbia Professor Khalid, who was a speaker for PLO when it was considered a terrorist organization.

Also at the diner...Ayers and Dorhn......

Barak is reported to made the comment at the diner.....that he had eat with Khalid many times in the past. Interesting if so.

During the diner.....the discussion to turned to claiming the Isreali living on the west bank were terrorist and like bin Laden.

LA Times has been asked to release the tape.....but is siting confidentiality agreement with its source.

Well?

Barak Obama seem to have a another associate to put under the bus.

Think about it........how many more does he have? With Obama camp being less the forth right in thier disclosures of him.......one will never know.

They have, taking one with another, no special talent for the business of government; they have only a talent for getting and holding office. Jack Welsh....former CEO of GE. Is supporting McCain. Why?

Jobs.

Says that Rhode Island has the highest tax rate and has the greatest
unemployment rate in the country. That Obama tax of small business,
on the top 5%, and his spread the wealth plan.....is not job creating.
Is welfare and hand outs.

That increasing the taxes as Obama wants to will cause job lose according to Welsh. Says that Rhose Island economy has been hurt by lack of business start ups......why.......it high tax rate. Jack Welsh only ran a mulit billion dollar company. So he knows a little about taxes, job creation, and international trade.

McCain's energy program, his expansion of international trade, his
support of the advanced fuel cell.....all positive job creation! No hand outs...no welfare....welfare is where a person loses his/her diginity.

The most recent Rasmuson pole on the economy. Has more of the country trusting McCain regarding the economy than Obama. First time that this has happened.

The American people would rather work for thier income than sit home and get a check.

With regard to Rasmussen and taxation. It is the first time in a month or so McCain led in this category. But he is not ahead in several other economic categories.

Maybe you have a point here.....it shows that lies work in election campaigns. Call a man a Socialist/Communist often enough and people will believe you. Some people anyway.

However, CEO of big company supporting Republican candidate is hardly startling!

This college professor they have photosof him throwing rocks at Isreali

Barak knows how to pick em. I have to admit that.

He has been able to acquire more far left associate in his years in Chicago......than I was able to during my 4 college in the middle the

LOL......I am beginning to think that Obama did not know a conservative until he got to the Senate.

Once he loses Dude......the far left can get a choice.......to dust him off to try again 2012 or bury him under your far left socialist bus. REPs will supply the shovels for the funeral or the whisks for the dust off.:-)

you really think if any body ever criticising Israel for Any thing then the Hell is broked and Blah Blah Blah!!!!

Israel has made a lot mistakes and Israel has been an illegal occupier

-----------You would be surprised for the support here for Isreal. I had the opportunity to go to Isreal following my military service here. As a
foreign military advisor from the US to the Isreali Army. I should have gone, but family and work here kept me from doing so. I regret not being able to spend a year working with them. Many others here in the US...either by thier church group, their business support Isreal.

Just imagine..... the first Real election in palestine resulted in Hamas victory and no matter what the rest of us thinking about Hamas

-----------Sure it did. And look what happen? The radical side of Hamas.....violently kicks out the moderate Fatah group. In other words the Palestine could not use an election to settle thier own inner poltics with out violence and blood shed. Running that election, after having
an election in Iraq......was the right thing to. Only the Palestine themselves could not use the results to make peace in the country.

There is no real rule of law

-------------Rule of Law? Rule of Law starts with a Consitution that guarrantees liberty and dreedom. As a some our for fathers have so well said libery and freedom are occassionally refreshed with the blood of patriots.

Talk with them, communicate with them and listen to them and do that all Even you are the one who actually is the part which are much more strong any way.

-------The policies of Bushney.....has Isreal speaking to all the major parties for the first time ever. And with those 69,000 foreign fighters sitting in Iraqi jails.......we have a block to keep them in the talks. By the way...the net rumor that four children were killed in the Syrian raid by US forces...is just that. The man that own the facility....had four adult sons. They were not children.

You mean like you are humble and polite, Dude?LOL

I beleive even Obama is a true supporter of Israel he is not afraid of talking with all sides of the conflict any way and thats one of the main reaosns I truely respect Obama.

--------Right...then why don't we see any video or here stories of him with Isreali and Jews prior to running for office? The only people he seems to hanging with......are..........PLO, Hamas, Corrupt Syrians, American Terrorist. Give it break Dude.......if Obama has so much love for Isreal and the Jewish people, he would have made overtures to know them prior to the running. He could have easily put Isreal on his Africa trip. But did not.

even Israel talked with Hamas and Hezbollah and Syria even you TT.... Were sure it will never happen ....

----------Some times it ain't what you know that get you there.....it is what happens that gets you there. Right now....those 69,000 sitting in
Iraqi jails......got us here.

How many procent of Israelies them selves want a true peace between them and Palestine TT!

--------Well I bet if one polls Isreali......after giving away 26 towns in GAZA to the Palestines....and then being rocketed from Gaza for the last 1 and 1/2 years.....very few of them are willing to give away more land for peace. So the Moslem groups around Isreal need to learn one thing. Isreal is there to stay as a country, as a people, as a homeland for the Jewish nation. The sooner they accept that.....the sooner real peace agreements can reached.

If Obama wins.....this will not change the American people support for Isreal. He knows that. That is the only reason he took a pro Isreal position.

Actually Fallingman.....in the college days......I was moderate.....in the
dorm or frat house BS session.....about 2/3 were liberal....1/4 moderate....and a small percent conservative. I was in the 1/4.

I have heard the liberal arguements. Fallingman. They got a lot of holes in my opinion. Look if socialism was so good......why did Communist Russia fall all apart? Because they, self imploded. That you have to agree with.

As much as leaders in a socialist society will say....fairness and equity......that is not how it gets played out when groups of people are making decisions. The Russian leadership group always had dachouse in the Crimea for vacations.....always had the best food....cars....etc etc etc.

With position in a socialist country.....comes all the benefits of
being a leader in the party. Out one side of the leader mouth comes.....fairness and equity.....out the other side comes I got a bigger house (car, vacation home, etc etc etc) than you do.

Then trying to manage a complex economy. With socialism......you have what? Remember the 4 and 5 year plans of the Russians?
They never came close to meeting them. That should have told them right away.....that this was a impossible task. They simply created a massive black market in the country that the Russian mob lived off of.

I have been in former USSR countries after the fall, Fallingman. I know what I saw.....I know fear when the locals talk of the Russian mob.
If that is what I need to learn about liberal and socialism.....I have learned it.

Bill Clinton and Obama together last night in Florida in front of 35,000 was pretty cool. Bill made his case for Obama in a very convincing way. Philosophy, policies, decision making, and understanding were Clintons 4 points.

Clinton said, “I am honored to be here to voice my support for Senator Obama for president,” Mr. Clinton said Wednesday night, adding that every president does his best to enact his campaign promises, and “Barack Obama’s do-list is the better do-list. The economic plan is better. The education plan is better … and his health care plan is light-years better.”
“If we have learned anything we have learned that we need a president that wants to understand and who can understand,” Mr. Clinton said. “He said tell me what the right thing to do is…That’s what a president does in a crisis.”

Obamoa said of Clinton, “When Bill Clinton was president your average wages and incomes went up $7,500. Under George Bush it went down $2,000,” Mr Obama said, drawing a contrast with GOP rival Mr. McCain. “If I’ve get economic theories that are similar to Bill Clinton’s, and he has got economic theories that are similar to George Bush’s. You can look and see which one worked and which didn’t.”

"Mr. Clinton inherited a $346 billion deficit and left office with Washington in a surplus. Wednesday’s joint appearance was a way to underscore the argument that Democrats — contrary to Republican badmouthing — offer competent leadership."

To be honest, I kinda do miss the Clinton days. Those were good times in between the end of the cold war 9-11. Bill Clinton's administration did preside over the most unprecedented successful economy ever in American history.

Clinton joining Obama in a stump speech was a powerful scene. When you think of Clinton, you think of a good economy and the good ole Clinton days.

Building America from the ground up, not from top to bottom. The trickle down theory has run it's course. We can't put our trust in private special interest groups anymore. There are too many things neglected (infrastructure/health care) and nobody from the private sector stepping up to fix that, and the taxes going to that are clearly not enough. Somebody has to pay for it right? I saw a report that people in St.Paul are drinking water that run through lead pipes, and there is no money to upgrade the system.
Problems everywhere that need to be addressed, not ignored.

You see the problem with you reactionaries is mostly in your text above. You generalise, demonise and make false comparisons. What has Russia to do with modern socialism, what has socialism to do with Obama? I'm sure the USSR was a spectacular failure - so was the Bush administration but I don't think they have THAT much in common.

I'm sure there was corruption in Russia....but what has that to do with America voting out a nasty incompetent Government by democratic means....answer...nothing at all. All huff, puff and smoke.

If you asked me to name a socialist country it would be hard to come up with one....Sweden sometimes....and you are not going to tell me that that country is "hell on earth". People are entitled to try out different ways to improve their society.

And this laughable confusion of liberalism and socialism. In most countries the Liberals are relatively right-wing. Only in America have the right succeeded in demonising all attempts to create a more caring society as "liberalism=socialism=communism".

Lies and slander Tom are Lies and Slander no matter what way you dress them up.

I don't know anyone, not even Dude in his heart, who thinks that Obama will solve all the problems of the world but I know lots that think he is fundamentally decent and will try. I believe even John McCain believes that and that he is embarrassed by some of his supporters. I respect him for that and if he were running for some party other than the appalling Republicans I might show him some support.

I would prefer Obama to be anti-gun, anti-death penalty, more even-handed in Middle East policy (less slavishly pro-Israel) and willing to move to get out of Iraq as quickly as possible. However, you can't have everything and of the available options he seems by far the best.
