Little cottage
by the river
thatched hat
is what you wear
little cottage
you delight me
so tranquil
within are we
little cottage
your river
at the garden
below runs
there are trees
a little patch of green
birds sing
the dawn song
owl will call
in the night
on the earth
falls moonlight
little cottage
would you be
a home
just for me
somewhere
someplace
dressed with dew
and silken lace
by the river

What a sweet cosy write Serpico!
I live in just that! a cute little cottage, rambling old roses, eclectic pieces, a 5min walk to the waters edge, my humble abode. I have the beautiful Tui's awake me in the mornings....Reading your write makes me even more grateful, as I sit here with the morning sun pouring through my windows... At peace!
