skating alone

skating to music
by barry manilow
in a park
covered with snow

to the sound
of your Walkman
playing manilow
songs such as these

slowly skating now
TIME IN NEW ENGLAND
brings memory
turning your face
as you skate

then going faster
to the song
COPPACOBANA
pushing sad songs away

see the girl skate
the world is her plate
moving as she does
love is her heart always

and as slows to glide
and build her steps
to the sound of
I MADE IT THROUGH THE RAIN

inspired woman
skating the park in NY
on the pond made of ice
beautiful and nice

Would love to be able to skate & glide like this "... pushing sadness away." Lovely reading; nice to escape with purple heart
