Down in a valley
Down in a valley
is a river
that's flowing free
I hear it calling
this river
calling to me
Join in my passage
past the banks
of the tall oak trees
past towns and cities
Run now and run free
down to the ocean
to a doorway
to destiny
Born for the river
my heart is telling me
so goes this dreamer
oh so willingly
Follow the bends there
places you never see
once past forever
on my way to the briny sea.
