For a Friend
Do you think I haven’t been in that dark place,
Not looked in the mirror, seen my own tear streaked face?
Ahhhh…..Loneliness my friend,
You think you wear it well,
You think that those around you,
Just don’t know, just can’t tell,
That carefully pasted on smile,
May fool others for a little while,
But, I’m too wise,
I can see it clearly in your eyes,
Spare me a little time, come for a walk,
If you want, only if you want,
We can talk,
There’s no need for you to be on your own,
No need to cry alone,
Just come around, tap on my door,
It’s no trouble,
It’s what friends are really for.

I can see it clearly in your eyes... Yes, friendship is a rare gift from those that truly see us, recognize without words our pain and help, without waiting to be asked, by being there, ready. Nice write!
If you want, only if you want,
We can talk,
There’s no need for you to be on your own,
Hello Andrew!
Your sincerity and giving listening soul, spreads its voice throughout your write, just to be there and never hesitate, "Just being there".
I loved your words!, what a caring soul you have.
Thank you Andrew for the allowance to peek in.

"A walk. Only if you want". Such sheer simplicity of want we all need on this journey we all travel.
Don"t be needy is what everyone screams.Be strong. But actually we are all needy for this.
