mermaid

sea of souls
far and wide
generations
ebbing tide
on the sand
footsteps see
she walks
ahead of me

footsteps stop
beside the water
fish tail
in place i see
lori lee
aqua woman
singing siren
mermaid she

was she cursed
by reject lover
body turned
half to a fish
there to roam
in endless waters
lift the curse
from mermaid she

understand
the siren song
lie the words
of remedy
kiss her lips
seven time
stroke her face
in numbers 9
