My Dad was a Navy man during peace time from 1954-1958, I had an uncle who was in Vietnam some time in the 60's. I appreciate their sacrifice especially this time of year.

Traveler, considering our "4th of July " holiday, this matches the timing of recognizing the life of a soldier. Battlefields wherever they have been, soldiers also reach out to God.Many soldiers lived or died for glorious causes, bringing freedom or peace to this world.
Beautifully written Dear Poet, and salutes all those flags that still stand all over this planet holden up by soldiers. Thanks for sharing SM

If a niche site goes mainstream, then the inherent charm, and quirkiness, of that site, is often lost. Hopefully mods will consider this. If they are planning on appealing to the "moral majority" then they should refer the popular quote that: "The moral majority, is neither moral, nor a majority".

Well, I have other quality material to post here??? I am a prolific poet, of rare talent, at the high genius level. My Verbal/poetic IQ is 171.1, when I post, I do so with passion and conviction. I give my work freely. Are my efforts appreciated, or am I taken for granted?

I wrote a poem about prostitutes. Apparently this was a little too much for the prudish? And/or the "woke brigade". This poem disappeared along with another 11 of my poems. This leads me to ask why bother with putting them up in the first place???

Hi there, a well written poem as usual Not sure of the message, I am sorry about your family experience, and I am glad you said it's not all women.
Goes the same for Men, there are so many trolls on both sides, but real people surely are worth trying to get to know, you sometimes have to take a chance or life will pass you by so fast.

I haven't seen that movie, my next movie is Falling Down with Michael Douglas. Romantic comedies are some of my favorite.
