A new year starts as fresh and clean as fresh snow on the meadows.
Just a plain Swade poem as promised. :-) After reading a poem last night written by a young man questioning the existence of God, then clearly stating a sincere interest in knowing some 'PROOF' of His existence, I was very impressed by the overall level of 'kindness' shown by him and others that surfaced in the exchange of comments to his poem and the on-going dialog between those pushing the thread. Religion and politics are 'HOT' topics that usually set 'intellectual' fires, but the exchanges and how they were handled on that particular poem were very encouraging to me. 'Kindness' is a great extinguisher for damaging verbal flames. The author of that poem deserves an award for his manner of response in KINDNESS to those attempts that were made to ignite another 'unsuccessful' and 'unnecessary' flame. KUDOS TO THE KIND KID!!!

Sometimes we find ourselves thrown into a life changing decision and feel as if we are on the edge of an elevator looking into a dark shaft. Wanting to drop one floor to the promise of a great life, afraid to leave what was safe, and just suffering while we decide
Through the fog of this lower world the candle of truth illuminates an uncertain and dangerous path because.. it is needful For eyes dim with fear and doubt are the gifts of darkness.. Along this path voices taunt from within and wit

Looking out through my window at the rain, I pondered what it would be like to walk through woodland, and came up with this poem.

It was just a crazy idea to write this poem, because of only one word that kept rotating in my mind and that word was :::::::::::: {Biggest}

AUNT KATHY, 91 YEARS YOUNG, AND LOVES HER FLOWERS, TREATS THEM WITH THE TENDERNESS, OF A MOTHER WITH HER BABIES, AND LOVES THEM DEARLY, A DEAD FLOWER, CREASES HER FACE WITH PAIN, AS IF HAVING LOST A FRIEND, I LOVE HER DEARLY, BUT DON'T TELL HER I SAID THAT.
An ode to an old friend and reminiscing upon life.
After I wrote this piece, I actually finished reading the last pages of Dan Brown's 'The Lost Symbol', and incredibly the very last word in the narrative was precisely 'Hope'. A huge coincidence, really.
if I could hold the quill of truth over the page of unfolding story and hold it still and let the page itself write the words of your defining glory if I could read your name in the vast retreating sea and follow the tides in
