I think that it shows strength, looking out towards a goal, then having the courage to do it...no matter what the consequence you'll be strong enough to deal with the situation. Promise Yourself (The Optimist Creed)
These words are on a large tapestry hung on the wall at my father's Optimist Club. I always try to live by them as I'm a natural optimist. Many a happy Saturday morning and summer evenings were spent with those who welcomed us with a smile and playing on the T-ball and baseball teams as well as competing in the local Soap Box Derby. In high school, summer evenings were spent working in the concession stand. I can still taste those blue coconut snow cones. :)
