Traveling the roads of destiny
many surprises to be found
each leading to some new beauty
Some journeys taken most blithely
for exotic places we are bound
traveling the roads of destiny
Fabulous sights from balcony
of spires and ancient battlegrounds
each leading to some new beauty
Journeys some take with ceremony
for new places we are now bound
traveling the roads of destiny
Paths reach out in disharmony
the right one has to be now found
each leading to some new beauty
Some of them full of tyranny
the awful silence of no sound
traveling the roads of destiny
each leading to some new beauty

Does anyone know the pain
of hearing again and again~
You're the best! A great person!
I hope you find that special someone!
In time, I suppose it could happen~
That elusive special someone.
Won't hold my breath in anticipation~
Nor belittle myself for trepidation.
Why pursue me? What is that you see?
The pretty words, the heartfelt gesture.
Without even trying, I've built you up~
Lo and behold! The "friendship" talk!
Its better, I guess, to know~
Where I stand, not a viable option.
You've gotten what you needed~
I can be shunted~discarded to the shelf.
Funny thing is, I will always be there~
In the background.
A half-remembered soul,
Quietly waiting, until needed.
I've no more expectations~
No more dreams of love.
I know that I can give,
I know there will never be a return.
I can be happy alone~
There for others, an optional option.
Sometimes~I am lonely~
I have myself and my heart.

One day I'll put my poems in proper order -
Until then, you must now bear with me.
Making sense of my life's general disorder
And to write on until I become free.
The stories that I paint with my words were
At one time true - as you will come to see.
Bit by bit, by means of each digression -
Compose the whole (in full) my life's confession.
The World these days is not in proper shape -
The basic fact there are too many people.
Too many souls for destiny to rape
As we gather like timid mice beneath the steeple.
The wine is spill'd from life's fermenting grape
To blast the Godhead with this heady tipple
Which lays us to ruin, and from whence -
We call this our life's experience.
And these experiences I now gather -
Each is a little vignette of its own.
Read them all (or none) if you'd rather -
It's something that I never will disown.
I'm proud of my verse - I am the father
Of all I write and gather like a gown
About me as a blanket - woven stars
Poetry's not a prison - rhymes not bars.

When I broke out behind those rolling clouds
Freed so many bubbles trapped ‘neath the clear ice
Bending and painting promised arches in the sky
It was me all along who smiled after the dark storm
Shining my giving light like the great giver of life
Nourishing all of my creation suspended below
Floating over the soft membrane of cells
Trapped into those finest molecules of matter
I am the energy that was stored and now released
The force that binds this world together you and me
Under the same star is what makes us who we are

About this poem:
Everyone of us belongs here with each other. How we choose to reflect on that simple fact is a matter of perspective that I am sharing with you.

If you want to
hold me down
you better be willing
to stay down with me
and not let go
just saying :)

The heart knew,
Before the mind knows,
The soul warns,
Before your faith is harmed.
The eyes shut,
Before your body is hurt,
The love dies,
Before your life is gone.

When fear taps on your shoulder, man-
don't turn around, because it can
and will get straight into your heart
to take you for a ride. The part
it's mostly interested in (your will)
it wants to grab and squeeze and chill-
to stop you in your tracks, my friend,
and while you're standing at the bend
unable for to move aside
your fear will take you for a ride
to places full of ghosts and such
were it can haunt you and do much
to sap away your soul and reap
what you have planted, while the heap
it leaves you in is worthless. Man-
just leave the bugger while you can...

Author: Nikolai Gumilev
I walked down the passage, a sullen route,
On me like a load heavy silence weighed.
I moved and as strangers with hostile look
Statues were gazing from grim recess.
In gloomy sleep things were deadly stiff,
A gray semidarkness was eerie and quaint,
And same as the sound of pendulum big
Resounded in passage my hollow steps.
And there in the dark of abysmal space
My fiery eye viewed in mortal fright
A shape unobtrusive in deeper shade
Of crowded pillars rising so high.
Having approached a chilling fear
Grabbed me as beast and caught my breath:
I noticed in horror a head of hyena,
On maiden’s slim shoulders did it rest.
Its pointed snout was stained with blood
And eyes were glowing with hollow light,
And creepy whisper kept hoarse and vile:
“You came by yourself, so now you're mine!”
Those fearful moments swept by so fast,
And the half-light fell like a misty cloud,
And the pallid horror grew, doubled in size
Reflected in mirrors of charnel house.

About this poem:
Not quite so inspirational as it should rightfully be here on this corner, but this is what I chose to translate this time from the Russian poetry. My apologies.
