Persistence meets resistance.
Upon my tongue I savor its sour decadence.
Menacing your Ideals
Every time a piece of my humility it steals
When we collide, I greet your defiance with a smile...
These feelings cosmic, yet like the vast darkness of space they hide.
Heavy is the fool’s crown, king me stupid.
Burn, flames I ignite upon those wings of cupid.
I curse how love made this heart believe it could fly.
Now it slowly withers, in time it will die.
Here’s my leap of faith.
Awaken; time to make the great escape.
Coming straight from my heart,
Now I lift the torch that lights up the dark!

I know what you're all thinking
Reading and clicking your mouse
Obscure visioned memories
Found, way down deep and safe.

A mere fourteen growing boy
Lots too explore
An a mind set extreme
on knowing how to get
to adult ignore.

Yet it always wasn't living a young life on ignore
Experiencing gathers what we self have to learn
You can say it, we could read it yet it won't comprehend
The need is the deed to get the message you send.

A forty year look back to some memorable days
Some memories are foggy, some just won't come out
Some forgotten, some treasured, some waiting in line
The day just may come

Another night alone,
Another movie seen.
Wish I had a phone,
To hear your voice, My Queen.

Always so near,
Yet so painfully far.
A small world I fear,
Makes me feel like dry tar.

With no knowledge of why,
Or comprehension of how,
Me, you push to the side,
To choose a typical cow.

I face the possibility,
Of elongating the distance,
But hope the familiarity,
Stays in our instance.

Into one world I peep,
And see my usual gal.
Mary Jane, put me to sleep,
Let me throw in the towel.

Molly my dear,
You work the floor.
You smell the fear,
Of me the whore.

My heart of Ice,
So easily melted.
Crack it back thrice,
And soon my mind is welted.

Skittles, my favorite Kandi,
Many colours shaped and sizes.
None taste the same,
And you'll never know the prizes.

An unknown force,
Frightfully not malevolent.
Shows me the course,
And feels comfortably benevolent.

At a door I stare,
Not a marking on it.
Yet I know it's flare,
I see flashes like a movie skit.

What's seen can't be mentioned,
To horrible to describe.
Your voice in my head envisioned,
"Open" you say with pride.

Wisely reluctant,
I reach for the knob.
Your hand translucent,
Guides me along.

Renewed vigor empowering,
A familiar presence felt.
No longer cowering,
Through the door I pelt.

You stand with me,
A smile on your unseen face.
"The right choice, you're free,
No longer in the race."

An old feeling,
Almost unknown.
With my head reeling,
I realize I'm home.

I envy how the sun kisses those flowers.
You give me seconds while I give you hours
I entertained your childish fears,
I was the one there while no one else cares.
Soon you’ll have my silence.
Bitter reward for your negligence.
Secrets are lyrics to your unsung song.
Before you know it, I’ll be long gone, with you I can never belong.
Your actions have consequence.
From me there’s no condolence.

Turning dust into mud with my tears
I bowed to the ground covering my ears
I cried unto the wind to announce my sin
I have hurt a beautiful woman whom
I loved so dear.
Yet she lived too far I will always keep her near.
Nevertheless there are others out there
who perhaps need a tear to clear.
The eyes of a heart can see beyond the fears
I know not how to love nor know when to embrace
or to let go.
All I feel is the pain I have caused to all that
loved me so dear.
Many will say change your ways stupid fool
stop whatever you are doing that causes
those you care about to lose their cool
I know not how anymore I know not how much
I can endure. I am lost for sure.
They say surrender is the cure.
What must I do what must I say or think
and act or feel a better way?
When will I learn to stop pushing love
away no matter how great or small
or quality of measure to consider the treasure of
a woman is everything I hold so dear.

In my diary of pain.
I write yet another page.
For every hurt I gain.
I trap it in a paper cage.
Sinful you be as the devil pays your wages
Trust me I’ll forever remember your name.
For you are well decorated in these pages,
Tribute to your fame, here you have a wall of shame.

Life left in ruins... A shadowy past...

Why can't I just be with you?
Everyday another tear,
Everyday a lot more fear.
I want to hold you in my arms,
I want to keep you safe from harm.
I act like things are all okay,
But I really want to run away.
I act like things are all alright,
But always end up in a fight.
I cry more tears than I can count;
Why won't they just let me out?
I tell myself these things won't stay,
But I don't think they'll go away.
