old emerald isle

coming out enchanting
sparkling shamrocks on
a harp playing
bewitching music
from the irish sea
from the mist of hibernia
entering a cold mystical island

a lonely teddy bear out in an ocean
dressed in her forty shades of green
her lush finery
from the land of the leprechaun
king of the fairies

tales of a land of forever young in the fianna
soldiers of the king
magical blossoms shades her beauty
classical in her name eire
modern irish emerald green
jewel of her color
arising from the land
of eternal winter

geographers strabo
pomponius melba
quoting describes a cold chilling land
inhabitated by a bunch
of wild savages
who feast on the flesh
of their dead fathers
despite the cold
the grazing was so tasty
very lush sweet
that cattle exploded fat
if allowed to eat unchecked

in a new kingdom
penunnular broach
used to fasten her shawl
son of the high king
fiacha finnfolaidh
his father was overthrown
killed in a revolt
by the king of ulster
tutathal's mother
who was daughter
of king of alba

britian at the time
because alba became
the name for scotland
later on fled to britain
with her son 20 years later
he returns to eire
defeating his father's enemies
turns in history

subduing the
entire country
he became the high king
of tara
there he conveyed
in a conference
were he established
himself law in the land

he annexed territory
for each four provinces
creating central control
in the province of meath
four fortresses where built
one for each our green fields
span an irish republic

MANDELA - MAN OF GREATNESS

may you rest in peace, man of great purpose
you gathered all the stones of hatred
and piled them away, far away
where no one can throw it no more
with your unwavering strength and drive
you thwarted all the injustices of the world
gone wild..very few dared done before
your hopes, dreams, and aspirations
bigger than life and the world itself
even in the face of death you never gave up
nor retreated...instead...
you withstood all the winds of anger and hatred
and made humanity a beneficiary for
love, equality and forgiveness
your resilience and direction unbroken
your passion for justice and freedom unbent
Madiba, Mandela, you are an epitome of greatness
this world has ever known, may your light shines
bright forever in the hearts and minds of all men

You will never be forgotten.

About this poem:
For a very great man, so the world would learn...Unity can be achieved with patience and forgiveness...resilience and strength...sans blood shed....and won....30 something years in prison..only to come out with more potent on his drive for what he believed in...the exaltation of justice and equality among men regardless of the colors of the skin. We are all one and the same...Equal no more no less.

Thank you all for your reads..

Kickits challedge (crooked fence)

A thousand steps
walking a crooked fence
where dreams were
laid to rest.
For all to see
and come to pay
homage to thee.
For on certain days
flowers would
appear here there.
Almost all would
have them one day
or another for
they were are lost
military brothers
and sisters you
see the ones who
fought for
you and me.

Holds beauty

Holds You Beauty

Prisoners of souls as the wolf howls
faraway dreams in starlight thoughts
To a princess over a cold moon and back
dark clouds the morning arising sky
Opening skies heavy rain falls with echoing force
lead like bullets winds crying nature calls

Icy chilling breaths softly cutting steam clouds
fingers shivering to the bone ice melting together
touching deep together warm dream alone in one castle
Closing these eyes tears dropping salted spice
sparkling pure diamond treasure golden crowning
Fed with love flows down the cheeks speaks
in the softest hum of a whisper echoes deep

Dripping pearl split down unique spirals out
dawn to dusk one place reserved
for us held under a rainbow bridge
True is the middle of something rare beautiful
a teardrop bowing grace
Forever warm soft and deep gentle petals
always held most precious in the heart
blowing you a kiss soul to soul love

for Obama

you are full of nonesense
you don't know what it takes to end this
Calamities?
you have been using the same strategy
based on crippling these terrorists?
yet on the back of your mind,
nothing changes?
Insanity, even I know, as it was said:
doing the same thing over and over again
and yet expecting different result?
you have to be out of your mind.
sure you promise to reinforce more
of what you have done.

fact is: you can bleed them dry
cut off the fuel that sparks their guts
annihilate them before they wipe us

didn't you say, this attack is against humanity?
and yet you are standing there talking nonsense?

on top of that, you are claiming that:
ISIS doesn't represent Islam,
yet how do you explain that when the attack is done.
they are shouting, "allah akbar?
whatever that means?

they claim they do it in the name of their god
and here you are saying, it is not?

you are deaf and blind, but not stupid and dumb.

About this poem:
I might be wrong but he just claimed this fight is not about Islam,
yet he fails to address that when an attack is done,
it is claimed to glorify their god?

Note: in the mechanics of politics, he does work on pleasing both the original 13 groups that run our government of whom control the commercialism and profit induced ventures (Rockefellers, Magnin, Rosenthals...) and the lowly like you and me.

Not easy and don't get me wrong, I am not implying that our ideology and principles are bad compared to socialist, fascist governments of the world. No all I am saying is, we can do better. He can stop this madness should he choose to. Stop the evil brainwashing of these monsters to young kids who will carry their goal (suicide bombers), they are just as victims and you and me. Educate them as young that no God, allow anyone to harm anybody, let alone, kill. Easy. Isolate them and change the system.

YOU CAN'T NOT LOOK

What possesses females to parade in clingy tights
shameless showcasing takes provocative to new heights
Tactful dress clearly thrown right out the window
"You Can't Not Look" at details they consciously show

Women certainly know this attire warrants wanted attention
slutty "Eye Candy" arouses thoughts I badly wanna mention
If not meant to raise eyebrows why wear trashy things
gawks of lust precisely what overly revealing outfit brings

Lady's there's such a thing as TOO much 'Camel Toe'
Spandex wearers 'in your face' everywhere you go
These women are many things but they're NOT shy
some so desirable it hurts inside when they pass by

Displaying such sadistic clothing is soliciting a stare
having to keep silent leans heavily toward very unfair
When people glare it's 'How dare you gaze at me'
'disrespect' is flaunting what only your man's eyes should see

This daily wear is offensive but accepting that "they won't"
consider caring about what other people think " they don't "
Tights are women's go to dress whether at work or play
in our morally defunct world seductive sexy is here to stay

Adults can rightly dress as cheap as they so desire
your look shouldn't be okayed for little girl's attire

FOR ALL WAR VETS, TO WHOM MY FREEDOM IS OWED

Please go and rest
my friend, my hero
dream of a land and lea
mountains, and rivers,
ocean, lakes, placid and serene
as once your youth was
before the momentum
of brainwashing and believing
in your innocence
how I will live free
under the serene and calm
swaying of the trees,
leaves fluttering in the winds ..
a music to my freedom.

Go and rest your weary soul...
remember I am with you all the way
to this cause...
I can't do it all
by myself
and while tears are yet pouring
for a cause I never knew
nor understood
until now,
with the torments of
your heart and soul
left among the pains
among the sorrows
far deeper
than love can cause
in the jungle, was I to know?
was I to be told?
that my freedom
was the very depth of your
sufferings?
so that my children
and their children's children
and billions more to come
can really be free?
Rest, oh thy heart that
has been torn
body that was broken
will that was bent
and a soul that is restless.

Rest and I will pray for you
as all of those who gave
their innocence and youth
their strength and hopes
and yet neglected, misguided
misunderstood, left for no good
the least I can do
for right now.

Rest..I am with you.

God bless.

About this poem:
I am still crying for my friend RHR and all those who are now misguided and misunderstood, helpless living in a world that can't be fathomed. Deep down is a curse only God can heal.

For the veterans who are now living in oblivion. Not because of lack of support from the government but the drugs they used to numb them against the terrors and brutalities of war render them conditioned with an affliction only miracle can cure.

unsung heroes

Your future hangs
on a seamless lines of hopes
to make up for the torrid
love affair of morning and night
of a dream that seems to dwell
on all your sorrows
on a life you wish you had
up until now.

Your child that has yet to be born
on a future of uncertainties
you built your strength
on their hopes that their years
will count for generations
unlike you..
it has to end right here
among the shadows of
torment and hopelessness
in a foreign land
where you haven't even have a clue
on how they spell, write and say
"i love you".

But you knew, as you were
facing the front lines
of whose sides you would stand on
their truth or yours, like
it makes a difference
knowing it will be right...
this war that divides
whose supposed to have
the truth of who's wrong and who
is more deserving to be right,
but...

Did you know?
those whose lives, ransomed
for freedom to make you a hero?
felt the same sentiments and hopes?
the same aspirations and ambitions?
same pains and sorrows
and like all of us,
they, too, have a heart,
have a soul that is pierced
by the bullet of hatred
we sustained believing
that their death is our
prize for freedom.

Is it?

To Our Flag

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----

Verse I

In the good ol' U.S.A.,
Thank the stars for ev'ry day.
Where the people know they're free
To be who they want to be.
It's the country of my birth.
There's no finer place on earth.
And I love our Stars and Bars,
In peacetime, and during wars.

Chorus

May she wave on through the night!
May she always stand for right!
May she guard the ones who guard us,
Keep them safe til mornin's light.

Verse II

The defenders of our Flag,
Never stop and never sag.
Working hard both night and day,
So that we can live our way.
May not always quite agree,
With so called powers that be,
But the brave that for us fight,
Glory, keep them safe tonight.

Verse III

As their buddies they protect,
Those at home they don't neglect.
They go fight for you and me,
So our Flag flies o'er the free.
There are nations far and wide,
Wave their country's flag with pride.
That to me is more than fine,
You wave yours and I'll wave mine.

About this poem:
Blatant, unabashed patriotism. Not stylish, I know, but it's how I feel. Got nothin' against other countries, have visited a few and hope to visit a lot more, but this will always be MY country.

the legend of darkhorse challenge

i am the dark stranger
on the darkhorse i ride
the marshal in this town
you are wanted dead or alive
jesse your my deputy
you will help me hunt them down
they fall like flies before my feet
i am the fastest gun around
my gun it blazed like lightning
from lightning to the ground
the face you see in the lightning
is the face that shot you down
come on you lonesome cowboys
from texas and around
i will look at you and frown
the face of the dark stranger
is the face that shot you down
your grave is my spit patoon
no more will you be around
breathing fiery dragons
to hell you are bound
