Penniless Bench

With a broken body and broken mind
Hobbles crippled into the park to sit
Daily watch feeding some crumbled old bread rinds
To a few friendly birds he'd never quit

Tattered clothing old and out of fashion
A rough, hard weathered look upon his face
His are endless days without much passion
While Passerbys glance away in disgrace

Long ago wounded and now most forgetful
His body wrecked with the passing of time
A great victory no less merciful
Listen every noon the church bells still chime

Pitiful sight whose clothes have such a stench
Sits a great hero on Penniless Bench

About this poem:
Reflective of many , old and downtrodden folks who have once served
in wartime only to be left behind by an ungrateful nation. Sad but all
too true.....

The Graveyard

Ancient trees are
standing guard Around
the old graveyard The
leaves are trembling in
the wind Listen and
you will hear their song
They sing for the dead
who lies buried Deep
in the ground With grey
tombstones above

The moon so high in the
sky
Pale white, its myst
erious light The moon is
shining down on the
graveyard Sighing mournfully
for all mortal men
Who in spite
of all of their struggle and plight
Ends up under
a tombstone in the graveyard

On twisted
branches the crows sit
Black feathers Black, glitt
ering eyes
As the
night goes by
They fly
to and fro the trees
surrounding The graveyard
They crow For the
folly of men
Hoping for immortality
Even though they
know They will end up
In a tomb in the
graveyard

Horses and chains

Your opinion matters more to me than anyone else,
Because it can hurt the most.
You could shatter my world,
You could make my day
You could hurt me in every way

You make me feel less than what I am
An insignificant nothing with a potential for none
Who shouldn’t inflict her dirty ways upon any other

And she won’t.

Why taint a light that shines so bright?
With the muck that could destroy a soul
A person who isn’t really a person at all
Torn to pieces sent out into the world.
No human emotion
Too great of a toll

My world is broken
You broke me.
Are you happy?

Its fine, I’m fine I say!
Rage is fire that whips the dried forest
Chains that detain the wild horse
It’s a lonely world on a millionaire’s plantation
Where greed darkens the sky, and blinds the eye
I’m fine…a horse in chains…
I’m fine, I’m fine I say.

About this poem:
haha it's dark! I usually write what I'm feeling. Hmmm when I read it now...I think that this is what a person would feel like if they kept there emotions bottled up and never stood up to someone. And I'm not sure what else to say about it.

I AM HERE !!

I scream to the world
can anyone hear me.
Does anyone know
i am here and i exist?
I want to be needed
i want to be loved.
I want someone to care.
Yet i sit here all by
myself in thought
of what could be if
only someone could
let their guard
down and love me.
I feel that would
finally set my
feeling out and free.

Freedom Ahead

For today i sit here
and think and wonder
why the world causes
you pain so all you
seem to do is fall
apart and feel like
you are gonna die.
I want to figure out
the reason why i can
not handle the pain
no more it grows to
fast inside of me
all i want is to
be free of it.
I try to let the
feelings grow but
they keep going
and bury me more.
I want to run away
I want freedom that
is just through the
next door.

Torn Innocence

I miss you my friend.
I wish you were with me still.
You were thrown away so carelessly,
now you are gone forever.
The pain I felt when I knew you would never be there
again, filled my soul with guilt.
You were taken from me by the wrong person.
Forgive me, you are forever torn.
Forgive me.

Dark and warm

The cool is slowly going out
through the doors as they
open and close.
The heat slowly comes in
and settles in the air.
For i am worried that
soon all the cool air will
D I S A P P E A R.
The air has gotten warm
hot is not yet come
to join my side.
Hopefully coolness is
coming soon for heat
will over take us
otherwise with no
electricity.
For sweaty and hot
is not me i do not
want that possibility.

WAR.

Oh! How I abhor the grandeur that is war,
'tis but little more than a politician's wasteful score,
who, dice dealing with aspirations fire,
make mute Aeolian harp or minstrel's lyre,
War! Mankind's disease and curse,
proud destroyer of this universe,
such empty smiles and hollow vows
speak of 'just war', that howls
like thunder foul spoken, defame honour's name,
black pernicious deeds that would a serpent shame.
Isolated, ivory-towered, they scarce know
of battle's carnage and its attendant woe
bourne by gallant youth who pray
one last breath of fragrant yesterday.
As self appointed monarchs, they never wooed
the senceless slaughter of youth's multitude,
and with little more than wistful sigh,
tell that honour lives, whilst youth must die.
With ill bound signature and callous nod,
cancelled treaties, created by a caring God,
immune to historic dirges rolling onward by,
cunning guile erupts from an immoral sigh,
such the earthquake of man's dry-eyed undertone
of murderous whispers, history thus has shown:
such, the avalanche of sin a silence brings,
like as Autumn leaves fall o'er lifeless things.

About this poem:
War the provider of wealth for the few, death and disfigurement for the many, have we not got enough 'war cemetaries'?

I'LL BE AWAY

Will i get away, from the thoughts of mind.
will i get away, from the past that seems to lag behind.

I'll be away,I'll be away, when theres nothing left to say.

will i get away, from this monster thats become of me.
will i get away, from a life that will always be the same.

I'll be away,I'll be away, when theres nothing left to say.

nothing

you wasted your blood and tears on this earth.
your tierd, your weak,I cant imagine what thats worth.

when you lose all hope, and you have nothing left.
but its okey, because the only friend you ever had was yourself.

your heart is broken, and bleeds poison that flows deep insidse you.
and all you can do,is salvage what little memories you have of someone you barly knew.

and when you die, allyou ever know and felt will be forgotten.
and there youll be left alone once more in the darkness,to feel,to see,to hear,"nothing".
