Forgiveness

I made a mistake awhile ago
An expressed myself out loud
Directed it at a lovely lass
From who's dire life she felt proud
She travelled seven seas to be with me
An only then it was known
The mistake i'd made awhile ago
Had now really grown
For us to be together
Changes had to be made
But how do you change something
That is significantly engraved
The mistake we made you see was
To be blinded by desire
Never to see the other side
That happened to fuel this fire
For like two rams we did engage
Trying to win just what?????
It made the friendship sour
Quicker than a lot
Amazing how i have learnt
The value of a sole
It took six months an 6000 klms
For me to share my goal
I wish not to hurt anyone
In my search for a love true
An i know that saying sorry
Will just never do
But sorry is all i have
An it comes from deep within
An a friendship born from a love torn
Must surely not be a sin

Flower

An empty field covered in snow is plain as day,
Getting left behind all the time as it hopes someone will stay.
The night passes and then the day returns to the field which is now green,
Covered in dew leaves the scene serene.
From the center of the field is a rumble as the grass mover to the side,
When a flower rises from the dew land appearing to be lost without a guide.
Now it's beauty attracts all even after noone wanted to stop by,
Cause there is always life after the tears the air may cry

You an me

I know your heart is acheing
The earth trembles with your pain
I've scarred your life with a lovers knife
Despondent for my gain

My intentions were not planned
Nor schemeing in their vision
So when light of day shined our way
Overwhelming was our collision

Fragile as a butterfly
I tendered a gentle hand
But what you saw at the door
Was nothing but demand

I feel you never settled
Your travels all but slow
The chance we take was our mistake
A hindrance for us to grow

No sooner had you arrived
Your reasoning a blur
I'll not be here long its all wrong
I feel i am a spur

I helped you on your journey
A path that wasn't planned
I never held you back my vision black
A stranger in this land

I hope you are well
Whereever you may be
For i really care an would share
A friendship for you an me

Sorry

She called to say she's sorry
She wants us to remain
of course I let her back with me
I just hope it can be the same
I really love her dearly
that much I know is true
for when she broke us off
I felt pain I never knew
so I'm glad now that shes back with me
and all my pain is done
to me she is everything
and that shes the only one

70

As I enter the decade of death
and plan for endless dreamless sleep
certain as Earth turning from light to night
I recall the spiritual seasons of my life:
hope exploding from an atmospheric prism
joy blazing through the gold lens of a star
adventure adrift with leaves on the wind
crystallized languor frozen in place

despite flickering memoirs of bliss
like sparkling sunshine through breaks
in a cloud-crowded sky of indigo blue
my mind rewinds moments of pain
as if highlights from a constant cinema
featuring every being I have known
in need, love, abuse, joy, and sorrow--
tragicomedy worthy of a reckless writer

aware now of each heartbeat
and wondering which will be my last
I mourn the loss of life in brain and brawn
but mostly bemoan what might have been
had I the prudence to expect events
occurring around the next twist or turn
events that make all the difference
for that extraordinary chance to exist

but regret is a poison potion
that lowers the view below the horizon
and prevents a vision of goodness
a revelation too often lost in fancy
for I must know that as a mere man
I can no more change my story
than stop the stretch of shadows
draping the angles off a redwood tree

and my meager human existence
for all its erratic blinking in the dark
is meaningless in the cosmoscape
but for any benefit I have bestowed
for the good of other living things--
fellow mortals who dwelt with me
on this grand sphere for blips in time
and finally disappeared in the dust

Don't Judge Me

I may not speak with the finesse of a writer
My words may not touch your heart
But, don’t judge me

I may be in a wheelchair unable to move my legs
Not able to run as fast as you
But, don’t judge me

I may wear dirty and torn clothing as I sit on the curb
Begging for help or shelter
But, don’t judge me

I may have sold my body, to a man, to survive
To have a bit of food to eat
But, don’t judge me

I may have eyes, red-rimmed from all my tears
Shed for no reason that you are aware
But, don’t judge me

The things that you have seen do not make the person within
You do not know my story if you do not take the time
So, please, do not judge me

About this poem:
Venting a bit about those who jump to conclusions based solely upon what they see physically in a person. Sometimes a simple are you okay or is there something I can help you with is all a person needs and the inquisitive judging glares from those who know nothing...well let's just say they anger me.

small whisps of truth

it started out innocently
but now its a mess
why did this happen
i cannot begin to guess
i lost my pride
to a joker i do not know
and now i weep
but one day it will again grow
did you think it would be funny
to hurt someone so
did you even think
when you put it on the shelf
now i am broken hearted
sitting here alone
while a bad situation
worse it started to grow
now no one will listen
to what i have to say
they think the company
should be made to pay
i find fault in no one
but the one who tampered
with the shampoo
now my hair is thinning
in spots there is none
i try to forgive them
as i drown in sorrow
the man who it the joker
will live out his days
knowing he hurt someone
with his cruel ways
but i will hold my head up high
and walk around bald
because than at least i can say than
i have no shame at all.

About this poem:
i bought a bottle of shampoo the other day and used it. Moments after touching my scalp it started to burn and clump together. An oder filled the room and my hair started to fall out. I wept and screamed for help as I held my hair. My family wants me to hire a lawyer and go after the company but i do not want to. It wasn't there fault someone tampered with the product. i got sad when i saw myself in the mirror than got thinking it could have been worse. At least it was my head and not my baby girls.

A Peaceful Word Here At PC

I'm an Intuitive Empath (A "Sensitive"if you will) a gift that has proven an asset in my work in law enforcement. When I came in here the other day, the atmosphere felt quite like a cannon blast. Not a very comfortable thing or situation in which to deal with or to come into. After reading posts and comments, the situation became quite clear.

There is always one side, the other side and the truth is always somewhere in the middle. Name calling and finger pointing does not show a warm and welcoming atmosphere to the new members. New members who now may not feel comfortable in posting their work.

I come here to read the latest works of friends and to make new ones.I have always found it to be a much welcome respite from the dreariness I encounter at work.

I'd be more than happy to listen to each side privately through the mailbox here. :)

I am aware that words were said and feelings were hurt and apologies have been made. That is the start of a simple thing called "forgiveness". :) May you go forth and bear remembering that tomorrow is the start of something new. :)

I love and honor each one of you for your gifts, your friendship and your writing talent. You are so blessed. :)

Magical Clock

Time ticking backwards to memories there
To remember a time; one that we shared
I see my mistakes and perhaps I can erase
The sadness I put right there on your face
A touch on your cheek to a tear dropping down
Can I still stop them from causing a frown?
Let’s start from the point we were happy and free
Then turn the clock forward and start over with me
I’ll show you each day the love in my heart
I hope you’ll allow the romance to start
We were once just friends then I asked you for more
You gave me your love and then I closed the door
Afraid of the pain I had once felt before
I shut you out and made giving a chore
The day that you left I saw my mistake
Pain overwhelmed me, I’m hollow and I ache
So, turn back the hands on this magical clock
Back to the time I asked you to stop
I’ll give you my heart and let go of the fears
Take a chance with you; let’s share our best years
Please tell me my love that it isn’t too late
For in you I have found my love and soul-mate

Missing Me

My many memories come to haunt... in sleepful hours
I lie awake..to think.. reflect.. and wish
Somehow..I could change it..and start again.
Sins are hard to forgive...I have hurt you..
I am sorry..so sorry..you were always true.
Needing me always more than I ever needed you
God help me..I need you now.
Mother...I am sorry..I lost the script
Every day I miss you...and then I miss me.
