Finding a fit

There were two souls on a table
Amongst many others will they be able
To find their mate their match their lover
Although they would of tried with others
They will finally find where they fit
So then together they will sit
Their connection like a jigsaw piece
That meets together and slips in place
Love is hard to find
But two will then be one of a kind

Homesick Nomad

I lost myself
And I had no want
To ever find me

I gave myself away
To a quiet place
I might decide to stay

But that's enough
I shouldn't think that way

I never had a chance
So I could feel
Like we were the same

Life had to be so strange
And you, are so beautiful
And I could never change

But that's enough
I shouldn't think that way

Wait for me
You never wait
For me

I never feel at home
Because I can never go
Where you go

Always on the out side
Looking in

But that's enough
I shouldn't think that way

To the One I love

Today I write a few words for you
that is not here any more
it was your time to go
you were my best friend

giving me unconditional love
cuddling up to me in the night
snuggling close letting me know
that you were there for me

twenty wonderful years we shared
you always knew when I was down
and showed me so much extra love
you would jump up into my lap

rubbing your face against mine
how I cried wanted to die as well
the day the angels took you away
Gambit my friend the best cat ever

A Sonnet;

To oft, the toil worn crowd so dearly miss,
the world of words that Poets ink e'er paint,
who, see Springtime, in Novembers grey abyss,
tho', drab dreary seen, is really coloured quaint,
yet, court not the avalanche of thoughts uncouth,
't'is but like love, that oftimes said is blind,
yet, severs still, falsehood from the naked truth,
't'is hearts exclusive scenery,untouchable, kind,
otherwise, 't'would scar the souls enlightened eye,
thus, the pen travels to lifes very fragile edge,
to scribe poetic muse, that, in each being lie,
each, an emotional facet, a panaramic priviledge,

so, sojourn awhile amidst life's poetic charm,
then, stormy undercurrents recede to contented calm.

Voices in the night

On the chill of a moonlit night
I was awakened by the
Touch of some unseen
Entity..
Voices taunting me making
Me toss and turn
Shadows on the wall
Were like black
Claw fingers
Then the voices spoke.
" Your mind is nothing more
Than a hieroglyphic symbol."
" A cosmic trick
Of the god's"
'You were born of blood
And dirt wedded to
Bone and sinew"
" You were given a
"Taste of reason which
Shall vanish as a vapor"
You are quite simply..
Astronomically insignificent!"
Your aspirations are nothing
More than a rusty shovel
Leaning against an unmarked
Grave..
Death was mixed in your
Mother's milk from
The beginning..
I screamed out, " Go away!
You have no right to
Speak thus to me!"
But the voices kept
Taunting..
" Look at you! You lie
There on your rotting bed
And pour your imagination
Into unwashed socks.
Your long suit is an
Impossible dream..
You mull around in
Nothing more than worn
Out sandels, and a ragged
T- Shirt that reads, " I
Voted for Lady Godiva!"
The voices departed for an
Hour then returned..
"You are not a cosmological
Constant.. Don't you read?
It was in all the Sunday
Papers!"
I paused for a long moment
Then asked, " Who are you
Voices?'
They whispered, " We are
The voices of doubt..
Was it not you who called
On us in your
Midnight dream?"

(Rubaiyat)

half the moon fell through half the day
holding half the words which love would say
the ones never given breath by parted lips
until at last the time had slipped away

Dearest Darling

Dearest Darling,

I am writing you this through my raining tears,
This seems endless, it seems like we have been apart for a million years.
I just can't wait, it frightens me and makes me want to cry,
With each thought of us apart it seems that only more days die.
While dreaming of Christmas cookies, my tears fell into the dough,
I know you want me to be brave, but Angel I miss you so!
Wear my love is like a sweater to warm you from the cold,
It symbolizes my feelings for you to have and to hold.
As I look at your pictures and dream of your kisses everyday,
I fold my hands, bow my head, and for you I pray.
My Darling, it's hard living without you, but you keep me strong,
I pray daily for this to end, and that it won't be long.
On my mind is your image, it almost breaks my heart,
But it keeps me going while we have to be apart.
I know life is so hard on you there so I don't mean to complain,
But wanting to be in your arms is driving me insane.
Darling, I will close for now and get your Love letter in the mail,
Never fear My Darling, my love for you is strong and will not fail.
I am sending this, but don't be fooled by my smile,
I am trying to be brave, while my heart is breaking all the while.
My Darling, when I received your Love back today,
It touched me more than any words can ever say.
While chatting and reading your words, I couldn't hold back a tear,
I felt that you and your love were right here.
I know this is taking longer than we like or planned
But we took that first step, I am sorry I wasn't there to hold your hand.
I've read your words, amid many tears, but they were a big hit,
They were gobbled up eagerly, every last little bit!
As I gaze at your pictures I know that I am such a lucky man,
Your Love Box was a Slice Of Heaven waiting alone for our plan
Your love embraces me, I'm just waiting your gentle touch,
I want you to know that I treasure you very so much.
Always remember, I told you that I loved you today,
Till you're here in my arms all I could do is pray.
You're always here walking right by my side,
Nothing can ever replace you, that I cannot hide.
Tell the folks at home that I'm doing my very best,
Everyday that we survive, we've passed bravery's test.
Baby, I so long to hold you tight,
My body aches for you each and every night.
Well, My Darling, I love you, more than I can ever say,
Just waiting for us to be together to have a Merry Christmas Day.
I Love You Always,

Crazy Joe

Crazy Joe is what they called you
The toughest man in the city
Blunt and brash, you had your issues
Disputes you handled straightforwardly
You lied about your age you said
to fight the nation's battle
Truth was at fifteen you were wise enough
To find a place to leave your turmoil

Came home to broads and booze and jobs
At one time you had four
Bouncing at the local juke heads got knocked
And asses hit the floor
A man of men and pistol lover
No one ever crossed you doubly
You rifled birds perched on the carport
For crapping on your Caddy

Some say you had a mean streak
Were humorless and oh so serious
Your quiet scowls reserved for the the silly
You made no time for foolishness
With four college - learned daughters and
A spouse that worked within your home
You saved and paid and worked long days
Til foundry work was done

Ahhh, Crazy Joe, what can I say? I owe you
And I thank you for the lessons:
Pay your dues, speak the truth,
Know every day's a blessing
You're beautiful and will someday have any man for choosing
Take wise men over pretty and always do take care
To love him right. If you find he is abusing
Use your gift, the steel Kimber Bel Air

The Mighty Atom

In the early 1900's Madame Curie, discovered radium
for the use in medicines, however through the years
this material was used for destructive purposes, when
they split the atom in the 1940's in an atomic atom
smasher. Scientists discovered a new material called
Uranium and coupled with Plutonium created a new
energy source which if not controlled properly could
wipe out all life across the whole planet. Uranium was
first used in a form of Hydrogen bomb, as times moved
on they created an even more destructive device called
The Atom bomb. In time the atomic bomb was able to
be dropped from an Air Force bomber, it even ended
the war with Japan when dropped firstly on Nagasaki
then later on Hiroshima. When this war ended the
atom was used in the 1950's for atomic piles, which often
were difficult to control using control rods for containment.
In later years the atom was used for atomic energy
power stations for use in electricity, but was subject
to out of control meltdowns, were uncontrollable
radiation was scattered for hundreds of miles. After
all of these pitfalls it is still considered by governments
to be a safe alterative for clean energy even though
it has the potential to destroy all life on Earth.
Everyone on this planet are living at risk of extinction
if this mighty atom was to run wild and out of control.

About this poem:
Written: 10th July 2013
The moral to this poem is man's stupidity could inevitably lead to disaster if they misuse their powers of the atom, these molecules though very small could blossom into a flower of evil, capable of destroying mankind and every living thing on our wonderful planet Earth.
