Reborn

What scours your consciousnes
and where have you gone wrong?
Why must you sigh and frown
when the world slips right on by?
When good times were old times?
When you were young and fair?
What happenned to wanting
to make a few new friends?
We are all worn down by age
And who hasn't had bad experiences
but if we stay crippled with broken wings
when will we ever try and fly again?
The spirit of youth is ageless
Happiness of life is always near
so just get outside of your own fear
Pretend and be childlike again
and learn to love from deep inside
and share your innocence again.

WITHIN REACH

Avert thine eyes from mine, I beg thee.
Thou speaks and thy voice comforts.
A voice like soothing hands,
I dare say,
able to reach and stir
the very depths of my soul.
I beg thee, stand afar,
lest ye be alerted
to the savage pounding
of my heart in my breast.
Thy presence weakens me
regarding all things thought settled.
I am haunted by a restless longing
to pour forth for thee,
words I have shared with no other.
I ache and flush
as thine eyes hold my gaze
and I catch thy sweet scent.
Merely thoughts I reason,
yet truth be my wish
for thy savory lips to mine.
Wicked temptress!
Shame scorns me,
for my skin craves thy touch,
thy warmth;
the embrace I trust would be strong, yet tender.
I am haunted by images of burning passion
and perfect love.
Is it fear that makes me tremble?
Alas, I know but one kiss
would be my undoing.

About this poem:
My attempt to step back in time, stir a little passion and romance. Does it need more work? Be honest, but be kind. Thank you so much for stopping to have a read.

MANKIND TO MICE

It starts with a flash of sunlight
followed by light-longer-nights
Clothes confusion, temperature change
Variation explosion, with sunny range
Trees of bark, show signs of green
Sunny rays, quickly rotate a scene
Exploding buds, give rapid warning
Spring is waiting, for its dawning
Seasons on a calendar roll each day
Different parts of the world, pay
As winter turns around to spring
Summer elsewhere, as fall begins
These are world seasons, of life
For all creatures, mankind to mice

The Eyes of a Child

I saw into the eyes of a child today
And I saw hope staring back at me
The windows of a young soul
So clear for everyone to see.
I have a chance to make a difference
In this small life brought before me today
So I ask you, Lord, to speak through me
And tell them what you wish to convey.

Give me patience, good Lord
To help me teach this one so fair
Allow me kindness and understanding
To act with gracious love and great care.
For I cannot do this alone, Lord
So in your hands I give full control
For it is by your love, oh Lord
That makes a difference in one’s soul.

Let me be your mouth, good Lord
And let my hands become as yours
Allow me to be your spokesperson
From our land to distant foreign shores.
Thank You, Lord, for giving me the love
And the powerful insight in order to see
For I saw into the eyes of a child today
And I saw hope looking back at me.

Survival of the Oldest

The ladder slid,
The ladder fell,
The bike it had no brakes.
A car pulled out,
In front of him,
He swerved into my lane.
The Beetle steered,
Off to the side,
I followed in a daze.
I hit the brakes,
They hit the floor,
He flipped the blade and glared.

I bent my knees,
Upright I stayed,
And landed ‘tween the rungs.
I flipped myself,
And threw the bike,
And hit the ground a runnin’.
I hit the brake,
And jerked the wheel,
A doughnut in the ditch.
I followed blindly,
To the side,
The passing semi missed us.

I swerved and turned,
In front of traffic,
And circled ‘til I stopped.
I told him put,
The knife away,
To my surprise he did.
So keep your cool,
And don’t give up,
There’s always one more chance.
Just use your head,
Don’t lose your wits,
You can be a survivor.

never sets free

dead deaf blind moles
stagnating in murky holes

shadows slinking in light's blinking
a sounded tear lost in wailing

memory never sets free
fate's capricious decree

never draw near light
shadows cannot live in lit up- bright

die if it suits you best
I am closed, laid out for eternal rest

death onto life

ark ark when a crow is near you believe death is here,
when death is near people fear the plaque that runs in fear,
when white water runs its path fear will be apposed with strengh,
planes fly high with strengh and might with a lion strong roar,
a lions roar with all its might is only as good as a ford made right,
a ford made right will race into the night only to be beaten by holden,
holden`s might doesnt need a light for into the night its open drive,
its open drive so fast tonight even death will get a fright,
when death gets a fright its to adjust his life and make things right,
so tonight you might get a fright tommorow`s day you begin new life,
live it like a party tonight as tommorow night you could be gone or even to old to move.

A Poet

He is the poet who destroys his foes,
Whose mother is the truth and all its worth,
Whose love for people is to brothers’ love akin,
Who’ll suffer so that people’s cause should win.
He'll easily attend to task and won’t refrain
From doing what the others tried but failed.
He is the people's poet, man of fame,
He is the poet, poet of his native land!

Husband

Husband died leaving me alive
Sustained by his enduring love for his children
I must be alive
Beautiful are his children to me
And in their beautiful faces I see his beloved eyes
Now in the light of dawn
I feel his peace once more
Down in the depths of my soul I feel him saying with the love you found in me find love in life once more.

I blink my eyes and wish to see you

I closed my eyes, wanting to see him

My palms intertwine with his palms

I swear to God I will not leave you

I hope it stays in my country

You ignore me and torture me

Look with your eyes and have mercy on me

I hope you stay in front of me

And everything in the world I don't want

When you are with me

What is the fear of separation?

And I worry about leaving me

Believe me since the day I saw him

I have never known a night's sleep

Honey drips from your lips

I love listening to your words
And your smile and your cheeks are like roses

When I saw you I was fine

Young, sweet and loyal

With his look, give me my evidence

And the pulse becomes double

O son of people, listen to me

Enough foreplay and madness

I love you and I want you to love me

I hope you stay in my country
