FAMILY BONDS.

On one of those days, you tend to cruise
Doing chores, just the ones you choose
Stress not a factor, taking your time
At one with the universe, all is fine

Trying to keep warm, though outside
The scene is still, no nature rides
On a breeze, this dull winters day
Thoughts of family, stir you today

Long awaited wedding, across the world
Hope for sunshine, as their day unfurled
Over oceans and land, loving thoughts unite
Dreams shared together, unique and so right

Messages and photos, will tomorrow be shared
Thanks to the internet, between those that cared
Yet today it's just thoughts, that bind you as one
And dreams that the day, is warmed by the sun...….

Chance

Give her a chance
Don't just take a glance
She could be the woman you have been searching for
Open the door
Never ignore
Watch her eyes as they dance around
Whatever you do don't let her fall to the ground.
Give him a chance.
Take a good look
You can read him like a book
Look In his eyes
Say hi
Don't let this chance go by
You'll never know when you have the chance so
Ask he or she for a dance
Don't make each other cry
Make him, laugh
Make her giggle
Don't give him or her the shaft
You'll never know if you don't try.
He or she could be your
King or Queen.
This could be the dance of a lifetime.
Given a chance.

Reflections

Thousands of shards
Glass worn smooth
By the passage
Of time
Washed up in sand
Many colors
Reflecting the sun
As I walk by
Once long ago
Part of something
Whole
Thousands of nights
Dreams come true
As only dreams
Make believe
What was real
Once long ago
Coming true
Under the stars
Old
Thousands of days
My body
Makes restless
Steady as hope
Awake
Swept up
Into dust
Tiny speckles
Made solid into
Gold
Thousands of flames
Burning into ash
Rising from fire
Lighter than air
I see them glow
And sparkle
A brief moment
Flying up then
Falling back down
Cold

Game Shows

Press Your Luck just came out this week on TV
I used to watch it back in the 80s
One guy actually figured out the pattern to the Whammy board
He won 110,237 dollars
If you don't hit a Whammy you keep getting more money and prizes
But if you hit a Whammy you lose everything
Hit four Whammies and you are out of the game
This guy kept hitting the 5,000 and an additional spin which kept him going
Now they have larger prizes and the show is an hour long
So the person that wins gets to win additional more in a bonus round
Another show that is new is Holey Moley, a minigolf game
Card Shark is another one brought back from the 80's
In this one you simply have to guess higher or lower than the face card
If you have an ace it is simply lower, unless it is the same card
In the old game you lost nothing, in this one you lose whatever you bet
I still watch Jeopardy after James Holzhauer lost after winning 131,127
Just in one show, and racked up over 2 million in total
I also enjoy Family Feud

About this poem:
I've spent a lot of my TV watching time watching game shows. One I wish they would bring back is Name That Tune where they got some songs with a clue and one note from the song.

MY NEW GARDEN

It had me hooked its fair to say
No matter how tired, I was game to play

Blisters on my fingers and palms
Still I toiled without any qualms

The rewards you see were plenty
Sitting at times reading quietly

First weeks the shoots appeared
Then birds flew in as I'd feared

I had planted enough for them and me
My crops were pollinated by the bees

The birds swooped in, creating a din
Fighting, pecking each other, twas a sin

The greed I had never seen before
They were so full they couldn't fly anymore

But I'd put a net over my crop
The birds were full of seeds I'd dropped

I'd won for now and await the growth
The birds can have some there's enough for both

SEEKING......

When you meet, one does not know
How the seed of love, will grow
Will it be special, easy and free
Or eggshells and tip-toes, the key

However it starts, you sense hope
Thoughts wander, and like a rope
Tweaking and tugging, to the one
Stirring emotions, excited and fun

How it might be, as time goes by
It's unknown, and you may sigh
Until you accept, if it feels right
Along a dark tunnel, seeking light....

When Love Dies

When love dies
Because of lies
No tears in your eyes
No smile upon your face
All that’s left is an empty space
Feeling numb
acting dumb
All You want to do was run
played the game
always took the blame
lied and lied
cried and cried
haven’t died
in a better place
own space
Smile upon a face
still have love
found a new dove
heart has healed

the fall from grace

Cartoon characters one and all
Some come to sneer some have a ball
Most stay a while some never leave
The few left here seldom grieve

They gain in power
Their egos swell
They preach their truth
Of heaven and hell

Then madness takes them by the hand
Whispers giggles offers plans
To raise themselves above the mods
Make themselves demi gods

The fall is swift
The end comes fast
Your not a god
ALL HAIL THE MODS

HEART WEALTH

The day arrives you've been waiting for
Excitement tingles, to your very core
What will happen, how will it finally be
The clock ticks, as you wait to see

When your bubble, explodes once more
A delay awaits you, the reason unsure
Do you smile, say you understand
Or are words, written in shifting sand

Disappointments, we accept in life
But when repetitive, causing strife
Decisions made, for self esteem
Feeling wretched, not a cat with cream

Are you selfish, you can ask yourself
Gifting your heart, is a form of wealth
Only we decide, when to draw a line
Accepting the outcome, decision mine......

MOONLIGHT

Nothing is more romantic, than moonlight on the sea
Peace and quiet engulfs you, serenity a calming key
Ripples of waves, beat a path to a waiting shore
With a presence of life, true stillness doesn't bore

Hours could pass, but single moments linger
Moons halo draws eyes, as if wearing blinkers
Focus in the darkness, magically thoughts caste
Feelings of belonging, so strong it seems to last

A building breeze whispers, sending you in a trance
True nature's blessing, as water and moonlight dance
Special solitude moments, allows single thoughts to fly
Travelling the universe....just dreams in a silent night sky
