In Emergency Empty Pockets

When I shop I never say no
If a receipt they want to give
Many a poem I wrote on these
When paper is not near
On way home 'Phoenix' I wrote
Could barely fit it on there
How sad it'd be if poem not born
Not here in existence

Oceano

Tossed by the waves of your desire
Towards some undiscovered shore
The headwinds of time seem to conspire
To blow me through the shoals of perception’s harbor
The anchor of unwished-for intuition
Weighs heavily upon the depths of my soul
Unrequited love removes the footprints of ambition
Drowning with a sense of hopeless toil
My billowing heart burns as the saline seas
My mind is troubled as a wakeful dream
The rolling tide is silent to my gentle pleas
A screeching albatross echoes my taciturn screams
I am lost upon an ocean of remorse
Swayed by the siren’s song of longing
I despair of finding my steady homeward course
My spirit scuttled in the bay of unbelonging
I cannot grasp the rolling ocean
But wish to hold the sea within my hands
I am capsized amidst the ceaseless motion
Lost amongst the countless grains of sand
Soon I am washed beyond the shoreline
Drifting aimless as the current wills
Now all the sky is but horizon
As I float careworn with the billows
The raging tempest round me gathers
But somehow I am now untroubled
The waves that now surround me crash and batter
Yet still I remain unperturbed
Till when at last a guiding light calls me
And like a vessel I am homeward steered
Then like a ship I’m harbored safely
Within your loving arms concealed

About this poem:
Most of the poetry I write is connected to a story on which I'm working. Throughout the tale there is a sense of lost love, and this particular poem reflects a hope of finding it again.

As we lay down you aways seem to snuggle close to

As we lay down
in our home town
upon our bed
in our own house
you always seem to
snuggle close to me
as we lay down
with out a sound
your hand touch mind
and we unwind
you alway seem to
snuggle close to me
as we lay down
and your holding me tight
Iam so glad
Iam your wife tonight
you away seem to snuggle
close to me
as we lay down
and we our rubbing are feet
your so close
I can hear your heart beat
you aways seem to snuggle
close to me
as we lay down
you turn me around
kiss my lips softly
and whisper with love
Iam glad God from above
sent you to me
you aways seem to snuggle
close to me
so if one day if you pass away
the memorys Ill have
they will be happy and sad
Ill remember you
always seem to snuggle close to me

Who Said Life Was A Rip-Off?

Your decision not to utilize or maximize your full potential,
Dormant Ability
Reserved Power
Untapped Strength
Unused Success
Hidden Talents
Capped Capability
May be an indication that you are wasting time
Who said life was a rip-off?
Nothing in life is free
Even mistakes are paid for
Look at yourself
Man, Woman, Boy or Girl
What happened to your yesterday?
Did it pass you by?
You said that you would do it tomorrow
But your tomorrows turned into yesterdays that never came
Who said life was a rip-off?
Who Stole your life?
Today is a brand new day
It's time to live in the NOW!
Find yourself
Know yourself
Be yourself
Show yourself
Then ask yourself
What is my purpose in life?
What am I contributing to life?
What am I living for?
Dare
To Become Phenomenal
Who said life was a rip-off?

Longhills Hall.

Once we journeyed to explore
the Northern icy roar,
flushed with childish infancy
it ways ourselves to see,
quiet treasures there did find,
unknown before to Southern minds,
amidst some spinney green lit grove,
nature's splendour carefully wove,
where scented thoughts belong,
the noble artistry of nature's song,
now interned in a murky bower,
grandeur's fire now turned sour,
here, Longhill's jewel wrapt in cloak,
by stately Beech, Ash and Oak,
masked in all its misty gloom,
as a dying flower that once did bloom,
now eroding time of all that's left,
awaits the lingering pain of death,
yet fervently and proudly still
stands the monarch of this captive hill,
in quiet lines of beauty's grace,
its architect with care did trace,
and ancient man with mason's pride,
his sculptured craft with skill applied,
with visions belief as God adores,
like oft their fathers did before,
artisans, butlers, maids and all,
were naught but puppets to this Hall,
Alas! They long since have gone away,
alone, to life's fast fading day;
still, lofty trees stand guard the door,
their leafy shadows seemingly implore
some guardian fate, that fate may know,
with torch, to renew its fired glow,
With fear my burning heart grew cold,
knowing youth lay in some distant fold,
along with flowers of springtime spent,
Alas! Naught have I to employ,
nor sinful wealth its spoils enjoy,
but there is time yet to live,
an English heart it breath to give,
so, not whilst I breathe,
shall ruinous time conceive
the erosion or the fall,
the history of Longhills Hall.

About this poem:
This poem reflects the first emotional impression of what was once a stately noble Hall that boasted of Royal connections, yet left for some 40years to decay to a point of almost no return, it was as though I had been sent into this world for the express purpose of restoring its crumbling state, which indeed I did so single handed over a twenty year period. Longhills Hall now stands proud once again.

Concrete Prison

In this prison of concrete and steel,
I sometimes wonder if I'm even real.
Do I really walk my own way?
Or am I bound to do what they say?
Murder in the streets, killing on the news.
It's a wonder where I learned these views.
The mask I wear hides the real me.
Because I'm not who they want me to be.
They tell me I'm wrong and push me around.
But I just smile and don't make a sound.

Ion Bonding

Embedded image from another site

To her
I bond,
it is ancient
older than the planet...

Let us drink
of one cup,
share from
the same loaf of bread...

Why do we
play hide and seek?
let us
find each other...

Shall we
share a bond
that not even death
would violate?

No more chains
that hold me to the ground,
chains that
keep me solidly bound...

Those chains
that shield
my love, my heart,
chains only our heart can yield...

The Art of ME!

The Art of ME!

October 1, 2011
Not rated by the Author

What is it about me that makes me giggle when I think how special I am to me?

Especially when I think of all the magic of me,

This magic that others sometimes, do not see!

Then there are times I reflect

The Art of Me can be so much more

Like catching up to you, or hoping to pass before.

What is it about me that knows I care

As I'm care for,

maybe more than I realize.

What is it about me to feel this creative strength.

A greatness inside

with enough to share.

Imagine

The Art of Me

Fills me with surprise and delight

Especially when I take moments

for further insight

That The Art of ME

lights my heart

because

At this moment,

In this time;

In my world,

It is all about The Art of ME!

BECAUSE OF YOU!

Because of You!

Because of you my life has changed,
once I was normal, now I am deranged.
Because of you the hours feel long,
what once was right, is terribly wrong.
Because of you I no longer dance,
I'm awkwardly freakish when given the chance.
Because of you my summers are cold,
cause I'm so imperfect, by you I was told.
Because of you my thoughts are so hateful,
I gave you my all your very ungrateful.
Because of you I feel incomplete,
I hide in my house scared to go to the street.
Because of you I'll probably do time,
my mind is now racing, cause murders a crime.
Because of you my life is ending,
I'm broken inside, and now there's no mending.
Because of you I hate all men,
but you'll pay the price again then again.
Because of you I'm regretful and sad,
that you were my husband, and my children's dad.
Because your you, these words I have spoken,
because I'm me your next to be broken!

God's Breath...

Embedded image from another site

Just because I cannot
see the air I'm breathing
I do not stop breathing
Just because I cannot see God
I stop believing in Him...

Sometimes I feel
I do see Him
when I look into
my son's eyes
the spark is there...

I woke up today
I am breathing
perhaps someone, somewhere
is taking their last breath
I thank God I am among the living...

I have once read
our life is not measured
by the breaths we take
but by the moments
that take our breath away...

Maybe love is like a poem
in the beginning
only when it is a feeling
but through trials and corrections
it can become a breathtaking work of art...

For my love of a woman I know
I would rather have one breath of her hair
one kiss from her mouth
one soft touch from her hand
than an eternity without it...

Today I feel the breath of our Lord
the breath of God Almighty
so serene and supernatural
Giving me faith and hope
I can carry on...
Amen...Jesus..
