Don't Believe Obama's Ads, Romney Is A Middle Class Tax Cutter

CBO Confirms: Obamacare Raises Taxes on Middle Class

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office on Wednesday released a report estimating that 6 million people would be subject to the Obamacare tax, approximating $7 billion in taxes in 2016 with each of the 6 million people paying at least $695.

As the Washington Examiner notes, most of those 6 million are in the middle class, with 4.7 million having incomes “500 percent of the federal poverty level,” which the CBO projects will be “$60,000 for individuals and $123,000 for families of four by 2016.”

The CBO describes the Obamacare tax as: "the greater of: a flat dollar amount per person that rises to $695 in 2016 and is indexed by inflation thereafter (the penalty for children will be half that amount and an overall cap will apply to family payments); or a percentage of the household's income that rises to 2.5 percent for 2016 and subsequent years (also subject to a cap)."

In 2008, Obama pledged “no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase -- not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes."

The Supreme Court, by a 5-4 vote, ruled Obamacare was constitutional because it was a tax and, in so doing, ensured one of Obama's central promises from 2008 was broken.

On July 9, President Obama proposed to extend for one year the Bush tax cuts for the middle class, defined as singles making less than $200,000 per year, and couples making less than $250,000 per year, but to let the tax cuts for those earning above those thresholds expire now. A caller to a national radio show recently said the proposal meant Obama was looking out for the middle class. But if Obama is looking out for the middle class, why is he proposing to extend their Bush tax cuts for only one year? This is the first time Obama is implying that maybe the Bush tax cuts for the middle class may not become permanent either.

And then who passed those middle class tax cuts in the first place that Obama is proposing to extend? That would be President Bush and the then Congressional majority Republicans, with almost every Democrat opposing the relief. But Obama and his Che Guevara Democrats have been telling us for 4 years that Bush and the Republicans only cut taxes for the rich. Even according to CBO, the Bush middle class tax cuts Obama wants to extend dwarf the Bush tax cuts for “the rich” Obama does not want to extend.

All this tlak about a "New Obama: reminds me of the effort on the part of Rishard Nixon PR people in the 1960s to repack him as the
"New Nixon". During the Preisdenital election of 1968, voter were treated to TV commerical and carefully planter stories claiming the old ,mena spirited Nixon had matured, and that a more tolerant, magnanious "New Nixon had taken his place.". I was brilliantly orchestrated campaign, but as we learned during th Watergate and the subsequent release of the Nixon's Oval Office Office tapes there never was a "New Nixon".

That comparison between Nixon, the saturinine gutter fighter and the 'no drama Obama' may strike some people as a stretch, but consider the following:

*Like Nixon, Obama is a introvert who prefers his own company to others.
*Like Nixon, Obama has a frosty relationship with the press
*Like Nixon, Obama is thin skinned and self pitying
*Like Nixon, Obama relies on a tight circle of dedicated loyalist
*Like Nixon, Obama is a divisive political figure
*Like Nixon, Obama thinks anyone that who disagrees with him is his sworn enemy and is out to destroy him

"Obama is one of the most thin-skinned presidents we have every had, and we see evidence of it in every possible venue imaginable, from one on one interviews to press conference, from extemporary remarks to set speeches" says Politics Daily columnist Peter Wehner."The president is constantly complaining about what others are saying about him. He is upset at FOX News, conservative talk radio, and REP, and people carrying unflattering posters of him. he is upset when is avalache of faulty facts are challenged...in Obama's eyes, he is always the aggreived, the violated, always the victims of some injustice."

Isn't that funny? Team Obama can't dig up any personal dirt on Romney, so they have outreached to Gloria Allred and an old divorce case where Romney testified about the husband's company earnings.

The only problem is...the "shunned" woman Allred is trotting out is a "vicious anti-Mormon bigot."

"What you might not know is that Allred's client, Maureen Sullivan, the woman pushing to unseal the gag order on her own divorce records, is an embittered leftie, a Huffington Post "Super User," and a vicious anti-Mormon bigot.

For what's obviously a manufactured reason, Sullivan blames Mitt Romney for a divorce settlement she received during the early-nineties. Time's Mark Halperin reports that while he was Chairman of Bain Capital, Romney was called to testify in the divorce proceedings between Staples founder (and Romney friend) Tom Stemberg, and Ms. Sullivan. Supposedly, Romney's testimony about the value of Staples at the time affected the eventual settlement agreement. Flash-forward over 15 years later, and Ms. Sullivan still hasn’t gotten over it.

Even though a gag order makes it illegal for Ms. Sullivan to publicly discuss her case, apparently this hasn’t stopped her online. Though more than a decade has passed, Sullivan's used social media for years to lash out at her ex-husband, and especially Romney, using details of the proceedings that you would think fall under the gag order.

Coincidentally or not, the timing of Sullivan's comments also coincided with Romney's run for the 2008 presidency. That Ms. Sullivan would love nothing more than to derail Romney's quest for the presidency is quite apparent, as her attacks ramped up in intensity over the years. All of which, of course, have culminated in her alignment with Allred and the Globe in the final crucial days of the campaign.+

It should be apparent to anyone following this election that one candidate - Obama - is running a very dirty campaign on lies, trickery and manufactured stories. Moreover, MOST of the bad news surrounding his policies (Obamacare costs, Medicare cuts and devastating new EPA rules) has been deliberately manipulated to not happen until AFTER this election.

In the meantime, no such BS from Team Romney. No insults, no trickery, no cover-ups...just straight talk about how to get this country out of it's mess.

Just look at Obama's record. In 2007 he began a long list of campaign promises he failed to deliver on, despite the fact that he had the full majority from the house and Senate for two years. Now in 2012 - he's basically making the same promises all over again, but now he's got a bunch of new taxes ready kick in as soon as he is elected and doesn't have to worry about keeping the electorate happy.

Does anyone REALLY want to vote for a huckster who's been lying to us for five years now?

You just reminded me of another stark difference between these candidates.

Remember Obama is the one who literally shut out conservatives while passing Obamacare. They were not allowed in meetings and their input was completely ignored. His failure to "reach across the aisles" is staggering.

On the other hand, as Governor, Romney was able to work very successfully with his democratic majority by ignoring party affiliations in order to GET THE JOB DONE!

It looks like Romney gained a percentage point following the last debate, but one third of the poll still includes numbers from the day before.

What better endorsement for Mitt Romney can you get? Putin says Romney is talking pre election speak about changing the Russia/US relationship. But he can still work with the REP.

Titanium ships, EMP Weapons and Laser weapons fieldings, that are all the doings of the Obama administration. Not to mention a slueth of UAVs. Including a new bomb carrying UCAV for aircraft carrier service.

But the election question is ....do we want the young angry President and his elderly likely demenia senior VP...with their fingers so close to these advanced weapons. Or do we want a man that say the word Peace and means it. And his bright young VP nominee to have their fingers close to these advanced weapons?

Obama has placed such difficult rules of engagement on our forces.....that even if attacked first....it is unlikely a field commander would get to use these mostly defensive weapons to use without White House approval.

Obama is saying Mitt Romney is the man of the horse and bayonet era....a Romney summer read was about advanced weapons based in space. don't kid yourself, Mitt Romney knows the direction of weapons systems technology in the world....

I might add to this. It took the State Department 2 hours to get notice to the White House....under the present Chain of Command of this Administration....of the Benghazi attack. In the battle space of tomorrow's advanced warfare....the time from attack to destruction will be counted in minutes.
