Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney may have exchanged a tactical defeat for a strategic victory in Monday’s foreign policy debate, losing on points to the president by most accounts but scoring a solid performance that left major pundits declaring he had passed “the commander in chief test” in resounding fashion.
CNN’s flash poll taken immediately after the debate had President Barack Obama winning, 48 to 40 percent. But a host of pundits declared it a strategic win for Romney, who played it conservatively as Obama aggressively attacked his positions, repeatedly insisting to Romney “that’s not true,” and “you’ve been over the map.”
The major question for Romney going into the debate: Would he establish himself as a trustworthy alternative to Obama in the commander-in-chief’s role?
“I think Mitt Romney did something very important to his campaign tonight,” former presidential adviser David Gergen told CNN. “He passed the commander-in-chief test.
Newsmax contributor, foreign-policy expert, and Pulitzer Prize winner Judith Miller concurred.
“What would have killed him was a Gaffe-gate,” she said of Romney. “One mistake, one Gerald Ford moment of Poland not being in the Warsaw Pact. And he was not about to let that happen.”
Miller was struck by the degree of consensus between the two leaders on a wide range of foreign policy issues. She said that by taking that approach, Romney “reassured people who fear a return to a more aggressive path. People are sick of war, and I think he did that. He reassured people that he is as steady in foreign policy as he did in domestic policy. I think he passed that test.”
Similarly, Fox News commentator and Newsmax contributor Doug Schoen, a Democratic pollster, told Newsmax shortly after the debate that Romney succeeded in demonstrating he is presidential “and on an equal footing with President Obama” in the foreign-policy arena.
Romney’s highlight came as he defended America’s role in maintaining global order. To do that, he said, the nation would have to remain strong, and continue to lead on the international stage.
“We have to also stand by our allies,” he said. “I think the tension that existed between Israel and the United States was very unfortunate. I think also that pulling our missile defense program out of Poland in the way we did was also unfortunate in terms of, if you will, disrupting the relationship in some ways that existed between us.
“And then of course,” he continued, “with regards to standing for our principles, when the students took to the streets in Tehran and the people there protested, the Green Revolution occurred. For the president to be silent I thought was an enormous mistake. We have to stand for our principles, stand for our allies, stand for a strong military and stand for a stronger economy.”

Also, according to Shariah, it is a capital crime for a Muslim individual or leader to shoot Islamists for the purpose of protecting Americans. That would make Obama, if he secretly considers himself Muslim, a violator of Shariah and an apostate. If Obama considers himself a Muslim and wears an Islamic ring, as is obvious from the photos, then he must have had a very hard time deciding how to protect the consulate without killing Muslim attackers. That is why his administration had to settle for the lesser of the two evils: to get Muslims, Libyan security, to guard the embassy; this way it would be Muslims who would have to shoot other Muslims to defend the consulate. But that plan was useless because even the Muslim guards had to follow Shariah and ran away, leaving the Americans to be killed rather than violate Shariah themselves and kill other Muslims. Obama gambled with the lives of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others and left them as sacrificial lambs rather than violate Muslim attackers.
Now we have Obama having never fulfilled his promises of peace with the Muslim world. The murder of the Americans at the hand of Muslims did not even get us an apology from any Muslim leader or cleric. No one is taking responsibility, not even Obama.
With the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Islamists and jihadists made it clear to us that they couldn’t care less about Obama, his appeasement, his apology and even his Islam. They could not put on hold their jihad or restrain themselves for an American president who wanted to help build a better image of Islam to the world. They could not play the game with Obama and refrain from jihad even during the Obama presidency. Jihadists declared that Obama, Muslim or not, is just another American president who should not be trusted. No leader, Muslim or not, can get away from the wrath of Islamic jihad, and that is why an Islamic angry mob was recently torching Obama’s effigy in anger.

A few days prior to the last debate, Paul Ryan said President Obama had become petty, angry and fustrated. The young man from Wisconsin nailed it on the head from the demear of the President at the final debate.
The angry stares, the petty remarks, the interruptions of a political opponent that today represents over 60m Americans. The President did a excellent job of playing to his base....fustrated liberals and dissident OWS...angry blacks and upset Hispanics...I thought. But is that really America? It is only a part of America.
Here the man has had the highest position in the land for four years, and REP have paid well over 1/2 of all the taxes in the country. Four years that have seen the largest growth in social benefits programs in the history of the country, yet the man is angry at REP? at the wealthy? That are paying more than their fair share already!
Mitt Romney did not even task the President on the failure of his administration in the security given at Benghazi.He easily could have brought up this delicate situation in the heat of the nation's political debate. But chose not to. Did that get any reaction from the President? No. Just more angry stares.
The President reminded us that he is a student of Rev Wright last night. Angry at America. Angry at rich American whites. Angry at the system. Angry at conservative politics. Most of all angry at Mitt Romney for even opposing him in this election.
If you want to know why Washington has been broken, you saw it last night. It was the attitude that Barack Obama brought to the stage at Lind University. Old saying in my part of the world....fix the attitude and fix the problem.
No one voter can fix President Obama's attitude. But over 60m of them can reject him as our next President. If we want a brighter America, that is peaceful and prosperous....I suggest we cast those ballots according.

I know for a fact the GM went thru the bankruptcy process under the Obama administration. how do I know? I was on their suppliers cliamants list of possible parties for settlement. I was there by error. But I was there.
I could have filed for a million dollars of taxpayer TARP II monies that GM was using to settle the bankruptcy claims. But did not. They had just made a paperwork mistake. We never finalized the licensing of the advanced fuel cell. So on my part there was no supplier liability.
I had been in the negotiation process with GM to license the advanced fuel cell to them for the Volt and other HEVs. When the bankruptcy was filed. Somehow my name made into a massive supplier cliamant list. I did see the list.....it was 50,000 names long. It was mailed to me form the GM attorneys by mistake.
So if Preident Barack Obama is telling the country GM did not go thru bankruptcy...he is 100% wrong.

As regards the second issue, the lawmaker said that the Swiss diplomat had also quoted Obama as saying that “I didn’t want to impose sanctions on your central bank but I had no options but to approve it since a Congress majority had approved the decision.”
