In the last 100 or so years, from what I can tell, you are right about the progress. There has been so much accomplished in that short span of time. If you watch that show Ancient Aliens, some on there believe we are being guided by a more intelligent race. That is something I never thought about....messages from scents. That makes sense. Regarding the music we hear in many public places here, the choice in music is actually coming from a company that provides that service for many huge public stores/buildings. You can believe that they know exactly everything they do with the service they provide. I seen a show on that once...they pick the proper music for the establishment. Of course, I never heard nothing about messaging...but I did hear about putting people in the proper mood. But, you can be sure, the choice of music they play will benefit the outlet they are playing in.
