RE: Are You Listening, Borty??

Fender's playground was MD. Her 'real' blogs were on another site and if I recall, the readers didn't have the opportunity to post comments. If you emailed the OP a question they could reply via blog.

Kombucha, Kombucha all I can say is Kombucha...

lovecanbereal, yeah probably.

It's like a report on wine or coffee.
Avoid them.
New study finds them healthy.
No, another report finds them a health risk.

My yearly physical examination...

'high fructose corn syrup' it's bad for your liver.

I'm finding it in bread and cookies now. very mad

I prefer my food without salt. Years ago I was caring for my father in his final years and he had a strict low sodium diet with many of his meals prepared by me.
My wife cooks with soy sauce. We have the low sodium version but I ask her to prepare my food before she adds the soy.
Maybe once a week we go out for restaurant food. Very salty.
I had to stop eating at Olive Garden because of all the salt in the food, especially the potato and spicy sausage soup. The all you can eat soup (and salad) as around 1,400 milligrams of sodium per bowl!

RE: Are You Listening, Borty??

I believe he dropped out due to lymph-node cancer and returned after successful treatments.

xquseme, I cannot remember the the time span, but I must have been a member at MD more than 15 years and I didn't go to AMD.

note to self...

Hyundai Veloster.
I changed 4 headlamps (low and high beam) and they are not aimed to my satisfaction.

Nosehair...

Kal, that oddly reminds me of bull horns...

xquseme, I may go back to plucking with tweezers... OUCH !!

RE: Tooth extraction

The only pain you should feel from a good dentist is the bill for his services!

Nosehair...

BadlyDrawn... that would certainly have people remember you.
He probably frightened small children with that style!

Nosehair...

xquseme, over the years, I've had 2 different style of trimmers. Both were faulty.
One would snag and pull hair and the other buzzed so badly I couldn't insert it into my nostrils.
I'm back to the tried and true method... scissors.

RE: What do you get when.....

I like the first one better...

RE: You have to do good to feel good

Palm, I've got mixed emotions about the 'do good' thing. Ask any kid who gets up a 4am to deliver newspapers and see how giddy he gets when he knocks down a few mailboxes along his route.

RE: Back blogging!

Friendly advice: If it happens again, I wouldn't recommend you blog about it. laugh

Mick Jagger needs a new heart valve...

I've read reviews about the energy he creates onstage and some shows are more than 2 hours long. Amazing for anyone his age.

DRONEon 4...

epirb,
This blog is about unnecessary flight restrictions. You are the psycho for trying to read into more and connect me to a lost election. Many of these bans went into effect years ago and only recently have been upgraded as rogue drone pilots have ruined the hobby for those of us who fly responsibility.

Yesterday I had to delete your comment as you (falsely) accused me of being just like the sick people who want to remove an elected leader.

Sorry you are so misguided on my blog. Keep your wild accusations to yourself. I'll leave your last comment and I mean last comment here as evidence as you wish my internment.

DRONEon 4...

The point of my blog is all those who fly model aircraft are affected.

In order to fly at the county approve site (where I took the photo) you must be a member of the Academy of Model Aircraft (AMA) and carry liability insurance. Everyone there knows who you are. Their rules state: all aircraft must be flown 'line of sight' so you cannot wander more than 100 yards in any direction.

Some people with GPS drones (that can be programmed with weigh points that allow the aircraft to be flown a few miles from the pilot) have done some unlawful things so the rules for ALL model aircraft have changed.

That means the kid with a rubber band powered balsa plane flying in his back yard can face the same federal charges as some tabloid photographer working rogue with a $4,000 camera drone in a place where he shouldn't be trying to get candid photos... or worse, encroaching on a restricted airspace and compromising national security.

DRONEon 4...

korn, I'm told they block the roads that enter near the area. I'm sure that presents a security clearance problem for the local residents and guests.

RE: April Fool!

Seems to have been a quiet one this year, anyone hear of a good one?

Yeah... I'm not going to blog here anymore !!

APRIL FOOL
laugh

My yearly physical examination...

Fay, before my wife came here, I was on a diet of corn of peas, carrots and salads. Sometimes I was known to skip meals here and there. My weight dropped to 180 and cholesterol was low. Although I'm eating 3 meals a day of steamed vegetables with rice... pork, beef, fish and shrimp have been added to my meals.

DRONEon 4...

Uh... no.

They blocked the ENTIRE AIRCRAFT hobby for 50 miles.
Free flight models includes FOLDED PAPER airplanes and ones made from balsa that on a windy day travel 10 yards. Banned.

RE: How disappointing

Probably both reasons... grin

RE: kombucha

Thanks for the blog. I never heard of kombucha before. Doing some Wiki research shows a few details.
Very interesting!

jac, I've seen the effects many times. It ain't pretty.

fiorenza, while it would be nice to have days without plans, my savings would soon dwindle and I'd be on the side of the road carrying a sign "I'll design your kitchen for food"

Jim, the purpose for moving near my office was to cut down on those 90 minute drives to work.
We still have some repairs and furniture to assemble, but after that I'll look into the amenities that includes exercise room and pool.

Drop a dime...

When my brother was away at college, he would phone home using the same phone at the dormitory. Always his calls were 'collect' and we wouldn't accept the charges. Right after, we would call him back and talk for lower rates than a collect call!

Drop a dime...

and the operator said 40 cents more for the next 3 minutes...

Drop a dime...

Many have only a wire as the handset was pulled out!

Our Daily Bread...

biff, I dated a woman from Cuba who lived in Miami nearly 20 years. She couldn't hold a conversation in English and her daughter asked for my help. It was a struggle as I worked with her for a few weeks to correctly pronounce TREE (arbol) and THREE (tres) that ended up with her in tears.

I was learning Spanish to teach her English.

As far as Chinese goes... xie xie (sounds like shay shay) translates to thanks and xie xie ni (sounds like shay shay knee) the the more formal 'thank you' because 'ni' means you.
ni hao is the greeting for hello, but the 'hao' is good, so you are saying you good. If you add 'ma' that's the question mark 'ni hao ma' or you good? the formal greeting.
It's similar to Spanish que pasa? used as a greeting similar to what's up? where the exact translation is what passes (through)
