It's not actually worth $739 million...

We're past that now... laugh

It's not actually worth $739 million...

Already covered. See comment #11 thumbs up

It's not actually worth $739 million...

I tried that... I didn't vote for Ron DeSantis and he's more powerful now.
He changed the law to guarantee his position as governor should he not get nominated in the Republican Primary. All the people around him were appointed by him.
His vendetta with Disney is a knife in the back of Florida tourism and the tax dollars vital to the area.
How do we fix that?

I'm headed to work.. ~~ later

It's not actually worth $739 million...

We cannot fix it.
Look what happened when we sent someone to Washington to drain the swamp?

It's not actually worth $739 million...

Agreed. How do we fix it?

Love ya!
I'm just reporting the news...

It's not actually worth $739 million...

As an American, I'm embarrassed this happened to America.

It's not actually worth $739 million...

The country club Mar-a-Lago is a business and probably falls under different tax laws.

Don't feel sorry for me... look at the news.
He created this all by himself, I had no part of it. I think of all the people he stepped on along the way. Small business subcontractors who wen under when Trump refused to pay them for the work they did on his projects.
Doesn't that make you sick hearing about it?
Aside from a lawsuit for running a corrupt business... Trump may go down in history as the world's greatest con man.

One man did this.
The top story last night was he's believed to have shared our classified nuclear sub secrets with a foreign national billionaire.
I'm sure you've already heard the audio of him showing someone documents, stating they were classified and since he's no longer president, unable to declassify them.

By definition, that's a traitor.

I find it frightening that all the investigations about him and his corporations found so much corruption. Look at all the interviews by his once attorney Michael Cohen saying under oath.

His empire is falling like dominoes.

Globally? I'd have to Google that for an answer... laugh

Mar-a-Lago is a country club. It was NOT his residence.
Going from memory, before Trump was president, contractually he was only allowed to stay there a few weeks a year. This was an issue as he was there much longer.
I think he got around that because he was 'hired' and provided a place to stay as staff. His situation changed and it didn't come up in the news.

Logically, it's hard to get an exact value on Mar-a-Lago, but claiming more than 10 times is a bit much. He's creating a unstable and inflated market. Good for the property value of the existing residents planning to sell, bad for people shopping there to buy.

It's not actually worth $739 million...

Jared Moskowitz, made the request of Palm Beach County appraiser asked Palm Beach County, Florida, to tax Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort property at a rate in accordance with the valuation the former president claims it has.

VINYL LP's...

I've seen a few videos on scratch removal and surface conditioning. A few sites state that proper storage can exceed 10 years. Some of that depends on the manufacturer who does the pressing.
Many of my clients hire companies to install expensive media and whole-house security systems. Any of their CD or DVD library gets ripped and uploaded to a hard drive for instant play, usually controlled from their iPhones, but lately that's become old fashioned as on-demand subscriptions allow access to thousands of selections.

Drummer Stewart Copeland...

Stewart revealed in an interview they often argued about how the songs should be played, but since Sting wrote nearly all of the material, he and guitarist Andy Summers usually got voted out in decision making.

RE: Kevin McCarthy has been ousted

Here's a video on McCarthy...

RE: Nature versus nurture in the anaylsis of Trump's perception

Marjorie Taylor Greene taking Donald J. Trump (who is currently under indictment) gun shopping is a publicity stunt gone wrong. As a lawmaker she should be aware of gun laws in America.

I read yesterday, she's up for possible nomination as speaker of the house.

RE: Kevin McCarthy has been ousted

It's already started:

Troy Nehls announced late Tuesday that he will file paperwork to nominate former President Trump to be the next Speaker of the House.

"My first order of business will be to nominate Donald J. Trump for Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives,” Nehls said in a statement. “President Trump, the greatest President of my lifetime, has a proven record of putting America First and will make the House great again.”

The Speaker of the House is not required to be a sitting member of Congress, though no Speaker has ever held the role without being a member.

RE: So Finally

Hopefully, you own more than one guitar... yes?

THIS IS ONLY A TEST...

Wasn't that a passenger on an airplane emergency joke?

THIS IS ONLY A TEST...

I think it would be something serious like China attacking Taiwan and daring us to do something about it...

RE: So Finally

Track, did you get the guitar back?

THIS IS ONLY A TEST...

I'm sure you can change your voting status by mail... thumbs up

Spin Cycle...

Sorry to hear of your loss.
My niece lost a house to fire and insurance covered nearly all of it.
The house was very old so they chopped out the slab down to dirt, starting with all new underground plumbing.

My old Miami house had the laundry on an outside patio with rubber hoses. They only lasted 2 or 3 years before bursting. Since it was outside, I could hear the water running but nothing got damaged.

My condo has supply lines with a woven braided stainless exterior. Probably similar to the brake line in cars. Designed to withstand pressure for years and not burst.

Spin Cycle...

This story isn't over...
laugh

Samsung customer care showed me how to calibrate the drum sensors, but that's only half the problem.
Not knowing what's inside, my guess is there are springs that stabilize the drum and I believe they have compressed in the 2+ years I've owned the washer.

I'm unable to spin a cycle of anything. 4 shirts is the limit and they have to be strategically placed in the drum as to not make the machine crash while spinning. This involves turning the water off in the last spin or it will continue to fill the tub again and go through another rinse. That's a waste of a few hundred gallons of water.

Okay, a YouTube search found a handful of washers having the exact problem and it's more than Samsung brand that suffers. They all have similar design and they all fail the same way. The drum is suspended by rods with springs at the bottom. One in each corner for a total of four. At the top of each spring is a plastic cap that acts like a retainer because it holds grease around a rubber sleeve that acts like a shock absorber. The spring is only for the total weight, it's the friction of the sleeve that keeps things under control. As soon as it wears, the drum shakes violently.

That same thing as a car shock absorber... when they wear out, the car starts bobbing up and down because nothing is dampening the springs.

Replacement isn't difficult. Remove some screws, pull some clips and undo a wiring harness to lift the top of the washer. From there you can see where the suspension rods are connected. No special tools needed.
Prices for replacement rods vary from $50 for after market to $160 for OEM factory rods.

Many of the videos detail the work can be done in 15-20 minutes by an experienced repairman. I'm debating to make a go of it and allow an hour.

Also, there are some videos for the 'free fix' where they add clamps, insert pieces of hard rubber or replace the sleeve with silicone so it created friction on the rod.
It's all experimental... I'll buy new rods. Thanks!

VINYL LP's...

Currently, used Led Zeppelin albums are around $25 to $50 on eBay. Hold on to your old Zeppelin albums and maybe they will skyrocket in value should Jimmy Page pass away.

phat, Firefox with free Adblock Plus and those YouTube advertisements disappear.
Only when someone is doing a review and it's part of their review (where they are paid to promote a product) is the only time I see an ad.
don't run YouTube as an app. Only run it through Firefox.
