Initial test flights were done in Dayton, Ohio on some farm land but they needed stronger winds for lift. They wrote to the Weather Bureau in Washington and found out that the beach at Kitty Hawk on the Atlantic coast had favorable conditions. It was flat and had strong winds that were essential in their testing of various air foil designs.
They started tests with tethered gliders (giant kites) a few years prior to their manned flight. After many failures, they eventually were able to redesign the craft to have sufficient lift and stability.
Morals sliding down... as in adultery? I have someone in mind. Married 3 times, accused of s*xual misconduct 26 times, made it on tape bragging he could grab women by the pu--y because 'when you're a star they let you do it', while married to his current wife (of questionable background) was known to have had affairs with an adult film star and a Playboy bunny. Need a clue?
With the exception of a few surviving metal bands, a wall of Marshall amplifiers has been replaced with a few smaller amps on stage and a HUGE sound system for the venue. I've found that many touring musicians specify what they need and the local sound system provider does the rental for them. No more caravans of tour busses hauling a million dollars worth of sound and lighting to every gig! A friend of mine was a road manager many years ago and told me he was in charge of a Billy Preston tour in England. They had 2 of everything so when one was setup for the current gig, the previous setup was torn down and moved to the following gig. He absolutely hated the 2 white grand pianos that required block & tackle when they have to load and unload to a back stage dock.
Grand, I can always count on you to support Trump (at any level) with your undying love. He must be a saint on your book. Saint Donald.
Do you remember the woman who sued Trump for rape? She dropped the charges due to death threats. Remember the Access Hollywood tapes where he openly stated grabbing women? Do you recall earlier this year in which he lost a defamation case to E. Jean Carroll, that stemmed from her claims he raped her in a department store dressing room? You can Google up complaints of him walking in the dressing room at the Miss Universe contests while they were in various stages of undress...
I will vote for Trump... This country can not continue on the path it is now... It is the only way I can see that the average blue collar person can have a chance...to make ends meet...
Sorry Chat...
You don't have to apologize to me. It doesn't Doesn't it frighten you that a man so corrupt who's linked to 4 indictments, already stated changing the constitution and a desire to be president for life AND have the support of the Republican party ?? January 6th is treason enough, Mar-a-Lago stolen classified documents is treason enough.
Don't you love how the rich got richer, how he supports the military? I don't necessarily like unions, but they helped make America strong. Trump supporting the working man don't belong in the same sentence.
You do know if he escapes prison and actually becomes president, there will be a 'hell to pay' vendetta for any one who got in his way back to the top.
How about that (election denier) Speaker of the House? What a thrill we're in for.
He speaks well at town hall meetings. But his polling numbers aren't coming up, that's when he gnaws at Trump and how he's not suited to be the right choice to lead the Republican party.
Agree, common dandruff is not infectious AND it is easily treatable. Knowing that and allowing to go untreated is a sign of bad hygiene that could lead to other issues, like Seborrheic dermatitis dandruff that is more serious. Also, Malassezia, a type of yeast, or fungus causes dandruff. So, allowing it to happen and possibly get worse (in my opinion) is bad hygiene.
Getting booed by a MAGA crowd. Republicans dislike him probably because he's extremely vocal about telling people that Trump isn't the right person for the party or the presidency.
Sadly, he's a 2 percenter... Maybe he's got political dandruff and no one wants to get near him. Christie (in my opinion) is the right guy for the job.
Over the weekend, I argued much of this with my brother. He too said, banks have people to verify correctness when making appraisals. Is said Trump was very influential, if you didn't play his way, he could find another bank to do business with. I'm sure they knew his scheme and went along. Bigger loans was more money for them. I stated it was fraud and his reply: there aren't any laws that he broke. His analogy was an unscrupulous used car dealer selling cars over priced. I said, not true as a small-time car deal isn't a good example because devaluation of property value to get a lower property tax rate and pumping it up to get preferred loans is fraud. We're talking about millions.
He had the same opinion that Trump doing business with Russians and overcharging them for real estate wasn't against the law. Sure, maybe not. Knowing much of that money was probably laundered. How they got the money to pay for real estate wasn't of Trump's concern.
If Cohen admitted he didn't get direct orders, it doesn't mean he didn't get indirect orders, implied orders...
I was out of town for 5 days and now trying to catch up on my business while only skimming a few news stories.
I think Trump's lawyers were trying to catch Cohen in a lie and the response of not having received direct orders was Trump's way of saying he's not guilty. To everyone's surprise he abruptly leaves the courthouse and blurts out to the news media in the hallway that "the witness just admitted we won the trial"
It's about 55 seconds into the video in this link:
A key part of Tuesday's trial proceedings came in the form of testimony from a real estate appraiser for the Trump Organization, who harshly criticized the company's "inaccurate and inappropriate" behavior in attributing the faulty numbers to him.

The rest is history!
