How many times has he challenged the election as being fraud? How many requests for delays in all his recent court dates? Google 'following Hitler's playbook' and see the similarity. Is that rhetoric?
I heard a nice description from a newscaster "He keeps throwing spaghetti on the wall hoping something will stick"
Defiantly Ignoring gag orders on defamation. One cost him millions.
Back to the blog topic: How can anyone vote for Trump, when even his staff won’t support him.
What do his followers not know or refuse to listen to his actions?
I heard on the news one airline booked an 'eclipse flight' that chased the phenomenon allowing travelers to take photos and witness it in several locations.
My brother in Dayton, Ohio is in the path of the eclipse. They are ready with glasses and he said most of the state has suspended activities so everyone gets a chance to see it.
Expecting as many as 50,000 to watch this event, I said it's about the same as an outdoor rock concert!
Cobain, certainly had some issues that people weren't following. I read a Wiki about his life and addictions that caused his health problems. That and success was overwhelming.
Nirvana was in constant rotation with MTV. Their videos were played constantly.
Only once did I exceed the daily message limit and I think it's now 10. Maybe before they offered offered Premium it was more. Not sure of the recent changes.
I listened to a few podcasts about this. As much as Republican lawmakers despise dislike him, they also fear him... The Republican party has become the party of Trump and they will follow/support him as it's the only way they can remain in power.
There you go... battery technology is improving and so is the engineering designs around them. Remember how useless cordless drills were 20+ years ago?
Not long ago, I had a Toyota Camry rental for a few weeks and amazed about the mileage. I did notice when I took my foot off the accelerator the speed of the car decreased much quicker than anything I experienced. It wasn't until I returned the car when I opened the glove box to get the rental agreement, I saw the owners manual and HYBRID near the logo.
In Layman's terms, it's a gasoline driven engine with electric motor assist. The braking system does some regeneration to charge to the battery while driving so they don't need to be plugged in like an all electric car.
It wasn't a rebuttal but a first response to your wild rant. Many of your comments are just that. Extremely negative and usually flavored with a rare political orientation. Orzzz, in some strange way, I like reading what you have to say and try to put myself in (the difficult part of) your shoes to figure out 'where you are coming from' as I've been following your comments for years. Your lifestyle is really on a different level from most of the world.
You were around in the 50's. Did you think more than 70 years of scientific research at a cost of billions was all wasted? I remember you poo-pooed one of my blogs about space exploration and I listed some of the world changing inventions that came from it.
Not every new technology can be immediately implemented.
Here's a small list of some 'spacey' direct or related inventions we get to use in normal life. Some more important than others:
Light Emitting Diodes (LED) technology Scratch resistant coatings for glasses CAT scan and radiography Miniature CMOS cameras used in cellphones Water purification systems Foil and radiant barrier insulation Robotic and prosthetic limbs Cochlear implants Computer mouse Portable computers Freeze-dried foods (improved method) Rubber molding used in athletic shoes Memory foam Infrared thermometers Insulin pump UV air purifiers Wireless headsets
You say the use of EV's will require another 30 years. Should all progress halt until you say we are ready now? You always choose the worst of a situation and not the possible. One EV catches fire and thanks to Facebook and Twitter 3 million people get to read about the same fire over and over. People are using EV's that fits their purpose. If it's working for you and your 50 mile radius so be it. If you are planning a 1,000 mile trip, consider renting a gas vehicle.
Do you know why electric bikes are exploding? Research it. Not the battery technology. It's misuse on the part of the operator by overcharging. Remember the girl who charged her cellphone under her pillow while she slept? Misuse. The phone was trapped around insulation, with no way for the heat that would normally dissipate in an open environment. It smoked her pillow. She was lucky.
I cannot envision someone dumping the battery from an electric car in their trash so it gets into a garbage truck. Hundreds of pounds each. Scooter and hobby batteries should be sent to a recycling center. If not, it's misuse on the part of the operator and not the fault of the battery technology.
Large earth-moving equipment is used to mine minerals for batteries. Do you have any links to support your statement that children are used to dig for these minerals?
My blog is about EV batteries being reprocessed, so no new minerals need to be dug up. Send the children home! Please, send them home...
Amazing focus. I'm using an old Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ that was refurbished by Samsung. I've had it a few years. The battery doesn't hold out for a full day's use now, so I have a choice to replace the battery under the care plan, or shop for a new phone.
The S24 Ultra is on special from Samsung if I trade my old phone, I'll get $400 credit.
Weekend recap: I'm getting about 6 minutes per flight with easy flying and not hard stunts. I put new blades on it and have 4 sets of batteries. Limited by time, I only flew it 3 times on Sunday, with 2 of those flights making adjustments for the blade pitch range, RPM and speed of the controls.
So far, I like it, as it's easy to see in the sky, behaves well with no unwanted vibration or quirks. Power and speed when I want it and precise when I'm doing some slow maneuvers.
While the Kraken has been around for a few years, it hasn't been discontinued by the manufacturer, so repair/replacement parts are available. The helicopter I used in the trade was actually one of my favorites, but an older model where the American distributor often has back-orders on parts and new kits from Germany.
Always waiting for parts to arrive, we've heard rumors they aren't doing well. Most of the other helicopter companies have issued new models (even if they share parts from previous models) every other year. We haven't seen anything new in at least 6 years and a few of their models were discontinued. Not a good sign for the future with that brand.
Ann, You're probably offline for the night. I clicked on the top 2 selections that were based on best overall and best for cost. Open the drop-down for each and it briefly explains the Pros & Cons of these policies. For example: Patriot America Lite doesn't cover pre-existing medical conditions.
There's too much to cover in a blog comment and you could easily spend an hour or so reading through to research a good company. Click the selection Get A Quote for each is what you are really after to see what (if any) are affordable.
Hopefully this information points you (and your children) in the right direction.
jac, spitz, Merc... Many thinks for the thoughts and comments. They have a beautiful house and the husband built a patio on the side with barbecue, covered cabana and trellis so they can enjoy holidays with friends and family gatherings. Long-term plans have obviously changed...
The sky is falling... The sky is falling...
