I mostly use youtube videos for similar purpose.

And I freeze most stuff (tomatoes, onion/shallot, garlic, ginger, galangal, chilies, celery, certain veges, turmeric, lemongrass, etc etc.. even fish and meat). It keeps them longer lasting.
