For me, twice having been told to live only 90 days utmost after diagnosis of the most malignant cancer, one in 1998 and then two years ago, I can't remember any regrets, other than the first one, I prayed hard and the whole community of my church with 6,000 parishioners, prayed, too, that I just wanted to live longer as my children were still young.
The second one, I welcomed with a great smile having believed to have done most of what I planned to do after that, albeit limited in some ways..but have done my best.,.again, I asked God, to give me more time as I was so in love with someone who found me here at the Poetry Corner, who prayed for me, so much also. Miraculously, here I am still kicking and healthy..(according to three specialist). And yes, I do believe in miracles and a very good God..who does not create havoc and negative decrees..
One thing, I have found out though, is that we become, very inclined to do all the positive things in life including our perspectives in life..We tend to be more understanding and smile even as there are some who are so caught up in the rigors of life and beset with misfortunes and they become negative because of those..I smile at them, too.
But regrets...No..that I can think of, even today.
You know my children as half Irish they are too much into being on GREEN... and they bought a poster that is called RESERVED FOR IRISH PARKING ONLY.. ha ha ha...what a joy they have to celebrate..
thanks my friend..I feel better right now..and just walk up.
No it doesn't Cat..It will never get paid for the equation of the value of life and worth of the loss, but for the most part a reminder for everyone, including me, to be very careful and cautious on anything we do. Having said that still we make mistakes, I do, but I think twice before slandering and defamation comes flying, and or for lack of caution, a commission of a crime.
I appreciate, but I do disagree on your position with Jesus, I do see the truth being laid out on his coming, but again, I don't want to digress on the theme of this blog which is mainly for the clarification of the readings provided, even if only for its face value..,
Believing or not believing is not the issue on this blog..It is mainly how so many have failed to simplify the provisions of these readings, therefore, not clear as to the applications of such practice as to its elements of truth..and even more so to be INFALLIBLE.
I believe in my God, and all that is good for me and my fellow men, and some of them are from this book, but never will I impose on such belief specially if it hurts others.. I believe in Love, kindness, generosity and humility...
And I might add..For the prosecution of such a negligence, is protected by the law and must be as such...If only to provide protection for the victims of such a horrendous and injurious negligence..
Car malfunctions? (Toyota just paid billions on such claims).
You don't need to apologize my dear Cat. That is the beauty of one of our progressive achievement in life..Freedom to do anything we want as long as it doesn't harm others...my humble opinion..
But on your story, yes, we should be careful..But not necessarily completely avoiding opportunities by being too careful, like Calleis, mentioned, much akin to become a monk..
Please watch the movie, BELLA? Boy you would be boiling a this one..
Iotaoo, I'd much rather that you explain what you think about the provisions of the Old Testament, as stated and how it should be viewed let alone applied in our daily lives..
Iotaoo, I am afraid I don't understand your line of thinking but I want to express that for lack of my simple understanding of the complexity of this question, about who comes first and which caused it..reasons why I believe in God..
I don't know what your point is but I am in no way injuring anyone by presenting this document but for clarification purposes what can be the best to respond to these writings? Of which so many think it is INFALLIBLE? and if so, would we follow just because it is?
Thank you for your visit Guadal and I am truly sorry with what happened to you..
On the comment, can you explain a little bit? This is not from any of the Ten Commandments if that is what is implied and or from the teachings of Jesus but a part of the Old Testament..
Luke, like I mentioned on the first part, this is not my contribution. It was taken from one of my participant's addition and she told me that it came from You Tube. I supposed, although, I am not sure, Fr. Dr. Laura Schlessinger, who was a very popular Talk Show Host in our station KGO, San Francisco.
You can pull this from You Tube, she said..
Thanks..but all the provisions on the quoted, readings are real..But here is a proof of the INFALLIBILITY of the Bible which is used by some relentless bloggers here..
Lukeon thanks first of all for your first time participation on my blog..Second, yes indeed and so may I please request on what level has it provoked you? Can you share us your questions and or opinions?
Well, Zman, at least you are not accused of being a murderer, a fraud, which will, per the new laws, constitute grievous or severe penalty??? At one time, there were laws protecting polygamist, bigamist, on some countries, including but not limited to my country during the pagan times..
and let me tell you, you should for purposes of exciting and interesting travel, go do visit my native country, however, Hawaii is very similar and the Northern part of Australia..TROPIC AND EXOTIC.
Ekself, no problem, but first thanks a lot for your visit..And your note accorded to me is much appreciated.. I am a student for life, I have realized long time ago, that however defined our walks and purpose of our lives we can, change because of these lessons. I am grateful to be with this community as a reader and as blogger..
May I add that if you are challenged, like I am on so many questionable elements in our complex life, please read: MANY LIVES, MANY MASTERS, by Dr. Brian Weiss, and A MIND ON ITS OWN, by Dr. Cornelia Fine..
ON THE SIDE: NASA, last week just discovered 750 more of similar planets out there in the vast space..My point is that, we are changing, we are progressing, we are meeting and serving the benefit of the majority, laws are created to provide the needs in meeting so many changes in all aspects of life..It is through our civil and diplomatic discussions that these laws are made...To serve the needs of the majority (DEMOCRATIC COUNTRIES only).
Pontlottyn, first thanks for your visit, Second, I apologize for your reaction based on your torments from such an obnoxious repetitions..But, I beg your pardon as this is simply for learning purposes..
Can you read? Then at least express if I may request your valued opinion? Not to be judgmental, just for illumination of ignorance?
Another note, I am not religious, however religious my late parents were, they never disrespect nor imposed their religions to anyone..Therefore, leave me alone and I leave you alone..But please those who believe that the BIBLE IS INFALLIBLE AND THEREFORE ADHERE TO EVERYTHING IT SAYS? PLEASE EXPLAIN THE FOLLOWING EXCERPTS of one of my respectable participant on my previous blog.
Thank you all so much.
Please may I request that all participants maintain respect to anyone's cultural and religious practices and be a civil and a very diplomatic contributor?
Since we are attempting to understand and apply all the provisions of this books in our lives, we have arrived at a time where, we don't just accept them blindly and let alone use it to accommodate our self serving interest.
Simply for a universal purpose of understanding that promotes UNITY, KINDNESS AND LOVING RELATIONSHIPS AS WE OUGHT TO BE.
Thank you again everyone for your valued opinions and contributions..
I'm so happy how it turned out Cat. Having mentioned that time flew, you both have enjoyed it.
That is a great story, and of course great feelings for the both of you. I would have expected hugs without kisses but, oh well, just the same you both accomplished a great step. The picking up where you left off and hopefully bridge back up your lost time as friends.
