Hmmm. I would pursue a friendship ONLY for now and get to know each other a bit. It's a little early to know whether or not there's a future, but who knows - there could be. Just take it slowly, and let her make whatever decisions she needs to make. Be there for her as a friend would (just don't get involved in financially supporting her or anything like that). Only once her relationship with her ex is finalised would I take it further. There is the potential to get hurt if you become too emotionally connected, so take a step back for the moment. One baby step at a time.... But don't give up, you never know unless you risk.
Sweetpea, you are only 19 - please don't give up just yet!!! As GardenHackle said, perhaps you need to look at why you are getting hurt over and over. Could it be that you're making bad choices? Could it be that you're ignoring warning signs? We live and we love, we get hurt, and we learn from our mistakes. Try to ask yourself a few pointed questions, and hopefully you will learn from the answers and make better choices next time. Good luck!
So true. Every person we're ever in a relationship with has an impact in some way. I guess we have to thank them for the happy times and forgive them for the hard times then bid them adieu... Sorry Amenda. It is hard to lose someone we once loved.
