Reading these "assorted" opinions, it makes me wonder where the majority of posters would be if Native "Americans" had anything to say about immigration,or control, let alone "illegals" in their country, or what's left of it...just imagine what the immigration policy would be...
Imagination is cheap; bullets are far cheaper and only bullets will ever ensure change; the old "power comes out of a barrel of a gun" stchick but it is a truth. Out of participating in several coups, it is the only thing that does work. Elections are nothing but an illusory crutch for the timid and are as controlled as the lives of those who slavishly adhere to voting as their only way to achieve meaningful change; meaningful, to me means radical change; the extreme measures in extreme cases. And if today's world is not a perfect example of extreme, I don't know what would. Go around in the flesh and visit your planet, stop being arm-chair adventurists and tour guided tourists that only show you live politically correct propaganda...you only have one life, use it and open your eyes; turn off your idiot boxes...
The when and where is at the start of the "Industrial Revolution" in England just after Waterloo; the reason/ justification for economically massed workers is still basically the same: to create the needs for mass consumption by the masses. "Madison Avenue" stepped in with the coercive advertisement philosophy of convincing the masses that they must keep up with their neighbors , in order to live more comfortably with more leisure time. Later it also came to be expounded that it was also very patriotic and that if you did not purchase more to help support a war waged for the people, by the people and , of course, of the people, since it was the common peoples sent off to die; you were being unpatriotic which was almost as vile as treason....all psychological manipulation. Where has it gotten most of the peoples but into un-payable but ever increasing debts to be inherited by their offspring...with less landfills to pile up the latest disposable junk, most likely radio-active....et voila, an uncontrolable merry-go-round gone beserk....
Not meaning to be flippant about oppression, but oppression equals higher expenses; after all, more has to go into means of oppressing people than simply allowing everyone not to be oppressed, right...and who should pay for the means to oppress others than the oppressed; it's their own fault that they need to be oppressed. Can you follow the oppressor's convoluted logic... this was the kind of thinking/ justification I used to hear about detention and so called POW camps...especially in Central America during the CIA's wars for control there.
Certain "code words" would trigger alarms at the FCC and/ or Pentagon and MI5's and 6! They would track down those who dared to really say what should be done with the politicians...as not only being threats to the peace and security but being threats to the welfare of the State, after all, it is the politicians who decide what constitutes Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness and the definitions of those terms; the military, for being very likely a threat to their business of war...better not ask the question! A lot of posters could suddenly go missing...%D

kerosene and oil can really smell up an apartment; most of those heaters are/ can be a fire hazard...I remember years ago in Wash. DC many residents in poor areas, burned the doors in their apt.'s to keep warm, or tried burning fires in their toilets...some exploded. Not very safe...before I wired up some rooms for baseboard type heaters to cut down on wood for the fireplaces, and unable to use extension cords on any electric blankets, I went to a hunting supply store and purchased some of the hunting suits that had built-in heating wires like electric blankets but had battery power units in a small pouch. They worked fine on really frigid nights. The clothing also includes socks and gloves also. Many hunters love them. Check your area hunting stores, or catalogues...%)
Sadly; unfortunately women generally avoid men with children; any age. I've seen single fathers at playgrounds having seemingly pleasant conversations or just starting one with a woman, possibly a single mother and single mothers for sure with their children around, until the man's children come up; the woman abruptly leaves; the man looks around as if to say wtf...parks, playgrounds even in restaurants. Get used to it. As one mother told me, "I don't need a man with his own kids, I want one for my own kids so he can be a father figure..." Cold, calculating; you bet, it's the old "it's all about me syndrome; selfish to a fault. That is life, plain and simple. There are many exceptions to this stereotype....best of luck in finding one, or in her finding you. Much to my regret and to my children's, I never did... I just wasn't fortunate enough as a few of my acquaintances were...

Having seen several, my first and second choices have to be The Everly Brothers...loved Cathy's Clown , Bird Dog and more; Jan and Dean for that "Californian Surf Rock" sound; for the "folk style era, has to be Simon and Garfunkle, though only a few songs on lp's, the performances of Bob Dylan and Joan Baez were great...imo
Depending upon your gender, looks and personality are secondary to one's bank accounts: Income, chequing, savings and of course the portfolio of stocks and bonds for all too many women, though it now seems to be a major criteria for males also. Looks with/ and a positive personality are like finding the elusive 4-leaf clover or perhaps winning a lottery. Looks without a positive and pleasant personality for many of either gender would seem to be akin to having a cheap, lousy blow-up doll; form but no substance...though mind you, I have met some with an entire "shopping list" checking off each item as if in a store...ie. other than the financial: type of job, education, "the right schools", the type of car they have, where they purchase their clothes, clubs they go to, sports(if any),who their family is, etc. Seems to be only getting worse, especially among "the haves" and "have nots" in my observations...Makes me wonder what kind of people buy into that....sad.
As far as I know there is no "political correctness" to worry about; this is still Europe right. If there is anything remotely approaching it, it would be if you were 25 and the man 39; that would inflame the political correctness brigades to no end with shouts that he is old enough to be your father...or something...relax and enjoy; one can't gauge maturity on how old a person is! Have fun!!

I've always wondered which fish it was...tuna? sardine? As far as I know, the fish caught and that fed the crowds haven't been identified; then I'm totally surprised also at the fact that no one has yet(YET) set up a "Church of the Holy Fish" or Church of the Holy Mackerel or King Fish...(Amos, where is Andy? Hes at de King-fish Church!) There aren't even any secret societies of secret fishes(like Elk or Moose Lodges) %D Yet, at any rate!

Stroppy?? %D I've a few lately that were very nice enquiries as to "are you sure" or "would you reconsider" to very openly and honestly asking if I was at all interested...no tantrums or drama after drawing attention to profile, just a door left slightly ajar...nice, but alas, too far away...at any rate.
