RE: Blackmarket Ireland

Nope. It would be thrown in with the pension fund money to bail out the banks! Odd how people from middle class backgrounds can afford the official policy on honesty!very mad

RE: WHATS THE LEGAL AMOUNT?

That's non duty. But how much can you bring back when you've paid duty in the Netherlands?

I remember in Spain, the cigs in the shops with duty were cheaper than the duty free at the airport and at that time you could bring as much as you could carry for personal use.

RE: WHATS THE LEGAL AMOUNT?

And here was me thinking we joined the EEC back in the 70s for free uninhibited trade across European borders!dunno How did we end up as part of a super state.confused

RE: Blackmarket Ireland

I was thinking about posting this myself! The programme is actually annoying me attacking ordinary folk like you and me The truth is that smokers are an easy target to tax. They have continued to push the price up under the guise of trying to encourage people to stop.

If that was true, they would treble or quadruple the price. They put them up a little at a time to ensure people continue to buy and that the tax revenue continues to roll in.

So the price is set to be inconvenient, but not impossible.

And compared to the money the government has handed the banks...well you get my point.

And I don't believe this money is used to fuel human or drug trafiking.conversing

RE: Nuclear Power... high power - high risk. Is it worth it?

OMG...The Church of the Mighty Thorg that I joined isn't even mentioned! Oh well, back to hellfire and damnation!sigh

RE: Nuclear Power... high power - high risk. Is it worth it?

I had only recently have gone back to seeing Nuclear Power as the only viable option for the future. My arguement would have been if you build to equal sized power stations, one nuclear, the other carbon based and ran them both for 100 years, the carbon based one would kill more people then the nuclear although attmitedly, not all at the same time.

BUT!

I've changed my mind. The world is too unstable through both natural disasters and terrorism. We have the whole uranium enrichment/ plutonium thing for WMDs.

So I'm now anti again but at least it's based on fact!doh

RE: WHAT CELEB DID YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON WHEN YOU WERE YOUNG????

I still have a picture in my head of Susannah York who died this year sadly, wearing a man's shirt and stockings from The Battle of Britain. She was the answer to a pre pubescant teenage boy's dreams! sigh

God bless you Susannah!

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me,
I think I'll go eat worms!
Big fat juicy ones,
Eensie weensy squeensy ones,
See how they wiggle and squirm!

Down goes the first one, down goes the second one,
Oh how they wiggle and squirm!
Up comes the first one, up comes the second one,
Oh how they wiggle and squirm!

I bite off the heads, and suck out the juice,
And throw the skins away!
Nobody knows how fat I grow,
On worms three times a day!

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me,
I think I'll go eat worms!
Big fat juicy ones,
Eensie weensy squeensy ones,
See how they wiggle and squirm!
