Totally agree! The more time I spend on this site, and read all the forums, the more I am coming to the conclusion that the majority of people are not really looking for serious hook ups, or if someone does actually contact them, they run a mile and hide away and make excuses.
It just seems to be an open forum for back stabbing, ganging up and silly love lorn groupies following their target around the threads.
Its all getting very boring!! Might zip off soon, its all getting a bit predictable really.
All I know is, its one's OWN mindset that changes things. Sometimes you can see things or people in a certain way because thats what you have come to expect from others. Sometimes you are right, and sometimes not.
Not trying to be deliberately vague here, sorry! All I can say is that if your open to everything, set your standards by all means but be open to someone who maybe doesnt quite fall within them, then you are more likely to meet someone (IMO) than if you are too worried about being hurt again.
Trouble is love and dating isnt an exact science. People will always lie on these sites, as they do in real life. Perhaps it is easier on here though. Perhaps sites are not really good for dating after all because of that? I dont know.
The instictual feeling you get about someone's words (as that is the only way you can judge on here, til if and when you meet them) is the only thing left.
I truly hope your past experiences dont allow you to miss out on great future ones. You are a lovely person, and I am sure you will find that special guy.
