Since Ive been on here, Ive discovered how different Americans and British and Europeans talk and see things sometimes. Words are different, and sometimes the meanings and senses of humor get misconstrued..
Its very enlightening..
But, when it comes down to it, we feel our way through the minefield and meet on common ground eventually..
Depends on whether I was cheated on, or otherwise abused..
People make mistakes, I know I do, and sometimes, if that person really is sorry and realises where his heart is, then you have to be flexible. I wouldnt let my pride stand in the way of my future happiness.
That's why alot of people re-marry the same person sometimes, and it works out really well.
However, as I say, I wouldnt take someone back who cheated on me during our relationship, no.
Sorry, but seeing the word "Iran" is not top of my priorities at the moment, considering that they have just declared Britain as their new No 1 Target..
Yes, I agree with that; we are NEVER going to have all the same interests, and the same traits as our partner, that would be so boring!!
But, sometimes you can be two sides of the same coin and still be facing in the same direction, if you get me!! That's what I meant by not being a "clone"..minor differences are fine; but generally, I want someone who mirrors my own desires in life.
It would help if people broadened their horizons a little. I see people saying "God, Wexford is soooo far from Dublin", or "Cork is on the other side of the planet".. Come on people! Thats few hundred miles!! Its nothing!
Ok some people cant travel, or relocate. But, God Above.. expecting to meet someone in a 50 mile radius is somewhat unrealistic, dont you think?
Nope, I dont want my opposite. I want someone with the same desires, wants, interests as me. Not a clone, because that would be boring, but someone who matches me as in what I am looking for.
Sometimes, you can slot in together when you are opposite, and fill the other's weaknesses and gain strength from their strong points. But in the long run, I want someone who is my match.
I also get alot of young guys contacting me. Its sweet, but somewhat annoying, given that I have an age requirement on my profile. But I still take it as a compliment, write and say, Thank you, but No Thank You. No need to be rude, and ignore them.
I think you are right; us "Older Women" have experienced more of life, and perhaps come from a generation when we know how to treat our men, and are not just interested in being a drinking buddy or a equal in the swearing department..
Well, Im not sure about the whole "Lone Ranger" look..
But I know somethin'...I recently went into a Harley D shop in the States, and there was a women's outfit to die for..Cream colored leather chaps and a matching halter top..
I feel most at peace when I'm surrounded by cats, dogs, horses, anything really. My dream is to have a little farm, and be able to spend my retirement grooming, milking and stroking..
And that's just my husband...
So, I would welcome absolutely, any pets or otherwise that any potential partner had..
RE: Bang or Pass the person above you?
That was meant for Star!!!
