Well, I was given a present yesterday, which put the biggest smile on my face. I wanted a cat when I got the States, and I was presented yesterday, via web, with the sweetest, most ADORABLE little ginger boy kitten!!
I remember when I was in primary school and when the time came for end of year reports, I would always get a peach as a special treat if my report card was good. It WAS a treat, back in those days, and the memory of how good that peach tasted at the time will always stay with me!!
Yes, its a wonderful thing, to be travel and experience different cultures. Since the creation of the European Union, lots of countries are so easy to travel to now.
I think its a great thing, to try and experience and understand other cultures. It hopefully makes us more accepting of others' opinions in life..

My meaning, when I said "isolated" was regarding their geographical location, and I simply used Austrailia as an example.
And yes, I know "isolation" is all relative, but given that the largest centres of world commerce and industry (other than China and the Far East) are a long way from Australia, it seemed a workable example of the term.
