"When two people come together, an ancient circle closes between them. . . . When you really love someone, you shine the light of your soul on the beloved."...

In my opinion, a man who is comfortable enough with himself and with his partner or friends to cry when needed is an extremely strong and well-balanced person.
Crying is a very positive action; it is a way of shedding grief and allowing yourself to acknowledge pain, whether mental or physical.
A man who admit he sometimes cries is a true man, I believe.
The Gut Feeling Method is the best one, I think, and the one I always go with. Im not saying I always get it right, but the majority of the time I have, whether it picks up on positive or negative traits in the other person.
Do we EVER really know someone? You can live with, or marry someone for years, and still they can do things that surprise you or disappoint you.
A period of emailing, phone calls and general "checking each other out" before actually meeting is obviously required, yep, but the level on which you trust is subjective to each of us. Alot of the time, it depends on what has happened in your past, I guess. It can make you more open to trust, or more likely to distrust and be overly suspicious.
You can NEVER know what someone else is doing online, or what they are thinking. All you can do is make the choice to trust, and stick with it. If you look for positives in people, you will see them; if you are looking for negatives, they will be all that appear.
So, if someone went quiet on me for a few days, I would have to believe that they had a good reason. Otherwise, one can just get eaten up with suspicion, which, in my experience, is mostly unfounded.
I enjoy the forums, and will post regularly if I see something of interest. Its a good way to learn about other cultures and countries, apart from the connecting singles side of things.
I would say that the Material World has taken over alot of minds and, perhaps not so much now in times of recession, but certainly in the last 20 years, Money and Status were King and Queen for a lot of people. Ireland is certainly reaping the whirlwind from being too greedy in the past and worshipping the almighty credit card.
For two people REALLY in love, money is not an issue. And will survive all.
Thats one thing you learn as you get older, I think. No one is immortal, and you have to grab love when you can and appreciate the one you love with all your heart..
I was not generalising about Pakistan in any shape or form; it just so happened that when I walked in the door and turned the TV on, the news item on at that precise moment was about this massacre in Lahore, and the last (unfortunately!) thread I had read was relating to comments about Pakistan.
