RE: Love Quotes

"When two people come together, an ancient circle closes between them. . . . When you really love someone, you shine the light of your soul on the beloved."...

RE: waiting for the right man to come along

Positivity. Thats the most important factor in dating, as much as in other areas of life.

If you send out negative vibes, you will receive them back from potential suitors and attract the wrong type for you.

Be confident in yourself, like yourself, accept your flaws and be happy.

RE: Men Do Cry???????????????????

God, she looks good for 50, dont she??laugh laugh

RE: Men Do Cry???????????????????

Of course men cry.

In my opinion, a man who is comfortable enough with himself and with his partner or friends to cry when needed is an extremely strong and well-balanced person.

Crying is a very positive action; it is a way of shedding grief and allowing yourself to acknowledge pain, whether mental or physical.

A man who admit he sometimes cries is a true man, I believe.

RE: When do you really trust someone you've met online?

The Gut Feeling Method is the best one, I think, and the one I always go with. Im not saying I always get it right, but the majority of the time I have, whether it picks up on positive or negative traits in the other person.

Do we EVER really know someone?confused You can live with, or marry someone for years, and still they can do things that surprise you or disappoint you.

A period of emailing, phone calls and general "checking each other out" before actually meeting is obviously required, yep, but the level on which you trust is subjective to each of us. Alot of the time, it depends on what has happened in your past, I guess. It can make you more open to trust, or more likely to distrust and be overly suspicious.

You can NEVER know what someone else is doing online, or what they are thinking. All you can do is make the choice to trust, and stick with it. If you look for positives in people, you will see them; if you are looking for negatives, they will be all that appear.

So, if someone went quiet on me for a few days, I would have to believe that they had a good reason. Otherwise, one can just get eaten up with suspicion, which, in my experience, is mostly unfounded.

Beautiful post..thumbs up

RE: Too good to be true

Even if things dont work out, I think I learn from every dating experience I have, good or bad.

Its a shame that the older we get, sometimes the more cautious and untrusting we become, especially if we have been hurt badly in the past.

My own view is that you have to go for it, and grab happiness by the throat..I intend to..

No one is perfect, a cliche I know, but so true. Go with the gut instinct, thats all I can say..

RE: The Couger

I think age is irrelevant, if you are happy with your partner. I just personally prefer men of my own age now. That wasnt always the case!!laugh

RE: Please post on this poll if you use the forums! ..........

I enjoy the forums, and will post regularly if I see something of interest. Its a good way to learn about other cultures and countries, apart from the connecting singles side of things.

RE: girls night out/guys night out

Absolutely agree.

You cant spend 24/7 in each other's pockets; its not healthy for a relationship.

Guy time and girl time is essential. Denying your partner that would be very harmful.

Missing your partner like mad while your out is ok, though!!

RE: Men and women are heartless!

People are not "heartless" these days.

I would say that the Material World has taken over alot of minds and, perhaps not so much now in times of recession, but certainly in the last 20 years, Money and Status were King and Queen for a lot of people. Ireland is certainly reaping the whirlwind from being too greedy in the past and worshipping the almighty credit card.

For two people REALLY in love, money is not an issue. And will survive all.

RE: Is it okay to date a friend or family member's ex?

No one needs permission to date ANYONE.

You just have to be aware of, and able to cope with, any possible fallout and future bad feeling..

It could ruin a long standing friendship.

Personally, I would look further afield than a friend's ex. Just because I wouldnt want to stir up any bad feeling.

There are plenty of men (and women) in the world to choose from.

Friendship is more important.

Just my own opinion, though.

RE: Why peoples are not intrested to meet someone abroad?

Yes, we did have a chat, Mr B. thumbs up

I was not generalising about Pakistan in any shape or form; it just so happened that when I walked in the door and turned the TV on, the news item on at that precise moment was about this massacre in Lahore, and the last (unfortunately!) thread I had read was relating to comments about Pakistan.

No offence was meant to the OP.
