In a previous life, I regularly offered jobs to less qualified applicants purely because their personality won through, and it never once backfired on me (thankfully ).
This could possibly be a mixture of the two.....because these people are handsome/stunners, they are extremely confident within themselves and believe that they can achieve whatever it is they want
I remember working in an hotel years ago and pointing out a particular waitress. I put a bet on with the supervisor that she wouldn't last a month in the job. I based this on her posture and body language.....I won the bet
It seems that some people think that if you're good looking you have a better chance of getting on in life. Not just in dating, but in all aspects of life.
My opinion is that personality and self confidence will get you further than good looks.
