Where To Meet

I was going to highlight the free beer but then I thought to hell with that, I'll all turn up anyway laugh

This Irish woman is on her way to sort you all out so be prepared/afraid, very prepared/afraid devil

RE: "The Question Game"

Great Lines From Songs

"I didn't lose my mind, it was mine to give away"

cool

RE: "The Question Game"

Oh, bath....no competition!!

When I bought this house, there was only a shower in it and the first thing I did was install a bath. It totally killed the little space that was my bathroom but it had to be done laugh

What do you do to keep fit (if anything)?

PS.....I adore starry nights. Coming from a rural area on the atlantic coast, we have THE BEST night time skies smitten

RE: BG

On a positive note, the blood banks love us when we give a pint cheers

RE: "The Question Game"

I'm going to be greedy and ask for Steak and Guinness pie followed by warm chocolate fudge cake with ice cream smitten

Once again, it's stupid o'clock and I should be in bed sleeping but the music channel on TV is addictive......what keeps you awake at night?

Keep it clean please laugh

RE: do every human in this world dislike Irish travelers ???

I'd love to be able to reply to the highlighted bit, but I can't.

All I can say is the "travelers" I have met have been, without exception, among the most polite and respectful people I have ever met thumbs up

One story that always sticks in my mind......many years ago, there were travelers living in caravans just a few hundred feet from where I was living. One day my car died just where they were, not a kick out of her. A young fella came over and asked if he could help. His father came over after him and between the two of them, they got my car going again. The young fella asked me if I could spare a few pounds for him and received a very quick and sharp clip around the head from his father who told me to ignore him and that he was just happy they could help me.

Just one of many stories of kindness that I could tell, but in an attempt to answer your question I think it's the same as everything in Ireland.....the minority that are a**hole cause the whole community to be tarred with the same brush (reality TV shows don't help either).

RE: Music, post a video.

Not the most beautiful body, by any stretch of the imagination, but what a performer!!

RE: What's on your mind, part 19.75. :P

That was definitely not one of the GAA (please not the capital letters) crowd tongue

RE: Happy Mothers Day

Thanks, you're only a couple of months late (in my part of the world) but we'll take all the praise for a second time anyway grin

RE: What's on your mind, part 19.75. :P

Why would someone start a new "what's on your mind" thread when this one is only half full confused

RE: What's on your mind, part 19.75. :P

I had to google Tyskies laugh
I really should get out more!!!

Anyway, I do believe I could be on the verge of a 2 week "drinkfest" so I'll try anything once (or twice if I like it) cheers

RE: "The Question Game"

I absolutely LOVE Galway, as anyone that knows me is sick of hearing laugh

I usually get 3 or 4 trips there every year. Places in my own country that I've never been to but would like to visit? Giants Causeway, which is an absolute disgrace because it's only about 2 hours drive away!!

Preferred holiday....touristy cities or off the beaten track?

PS......Give me a shout before you head to Ottawa, I may have a "job" for you laugh

RE: What's on your mind, part 19.75. :P

What about us that are just floating around, waiting for an opening? Are we allowed a beer? cheers

RE: What are you listening to?....

I'm not sure if it is a comeback, I think these may be their last 3 concert dates although I did hear rumours of a new album conversing

RE: "The Question Game"

Embrace it???? Never, I have too much living to do wave
I'm not actually "afraid" of dying, it's just not something I think about, much like my last reply.....I'll deal with the future when it happens

Desert Island discs, what three items would you take with you? No "sensible" replies please....what are the three "vices" you would take?

RE: What are you listening to?....

The legend that is Christy Dignam dancing

Apparently, a "fan" knows all the words but a "true fan" knows all the hand actions too laugh

Rock on Christy and the Boyz ireland

Hey Stan wave

Don't ya just love it when the Dubs are favs for everything this early in the year laugh

Thing is, it's actually quite accurate this year. They're only working at 70-75% so far. Barring a catastrophe, they have to be odds on to win Sam this year. At this stage the only team I think can come close to them is Cork and of course the brave Tyrone will always give them a rattle or two.

Only 10 days until Ulster kicks off applause

PS.....welcome aboard Noel, join in the fun and games as the summer gets going wave

RE: "The Question Game"

Ken seems to be speechless laugh

Absolutely spend it now and enjoy, I'll worry about the future when it happens cool

When you die, will you be buried, cremated or both? If you opt for cremation, where would you like your ashes spread (if anywhere)?

RE: What's on your mind, part 19.75. :P

Me grin

Stressed out to the eyeballs, but annoyingly happy at the same time dancing

All Things GAA

I don't dispute that Cavan are making progress, but they won't win Ulster. To me, they are like a club team. They have a great underage team but never seem to be able to bring it on from there....

As for Kerry, I think they are just stuck in a time warp and the way the game has changed over the last 3 years doesn't suit them. Yes, they have skill, but sometimes that's not enough.

The Munster and Connacht championships are a joke anyway, Leinster may through up an odd good game but it's not until August that the real fun begins ireland

All Things GAA

Leave Kerry out of that prediction and I agree with you 100% thumbs up

Dublin are still only operating at 65-70%, they get complacent when ahead, but so far, have been able to come back with a second wave of attack. I think they are going to provide us with an amazing championship!!

As for Ulster....Cavan????? laugh

I'm tipping Tyrone

RE: Who are you going to vote for in the local elections May 23rd...

Here comes my first, and probably last post on a political thread (I HATE POLITICS!!!!)

A novel idea, why not vote for the person and not the party? That's what I always do, I have absolutely no allegiance to any party, I always vote for who I think will best serve my community.

All Things GAA

League final weekend.....who's going to be in town?

Stan???? cheers

RE: "The Question Game"

7 years ago....but I never posted it grin

Do you have a dominant or submissive personality?

All Things GAA

The hunger is definitely back within the squad but I'm worried. Derry are going to be a major test and to be honest, I don't see us beating them.

Lacey isn't the man he was, McLoone isn't fit to lick Lacey's boots and much and all as I love Neil Gallagher and Christy Toye (legends), it's a poor reflection when we have to rely on the old boys to pull us through help

I see another quarter final for us this year but nothing more
