RE: Valentines Night

I wasn't going to change it anyway laugh

RE: Valentines Night

I often say "Believe nothing of what you hear and only half of what you see"

Not sure if I got that mixed up but I never did know who made the original quote....see, CS can educate you laugh

RE: socialising and the internet...

Couldn't agree with you more.

When I'm at home in the evenings, I'm always checking facebook (very seldom post anything myself), but it drives me mad when I'm out and see people constantly staring at their phones!!!

In relation to people constantly posting pics when they're out, I once commented on a friends page that it mustn't be such a great night if she was spending so much time online.....it didn't go down too well laugh

RE: Valentines Night

Exactly, by people that weren't even there laugh

Back on topic, I think if singles stay away from restaurants that night it'll just be like a normal Friday night out. Couples don't just go out on Valentines night you know

RE: Valentines Night

.....and some exaggerated beyond all recognition laugh

RE: Valentines Night

I've just had a random thought/flashback.....

This night 3 years ago I was in Drogheda laugh

RE: What prevents you from living the life you truly desire?

RE: Share what you are listening to, part 4..

RE: If you could change any one thing in the world, what would that be and why?

Since when can women not join the navy???

Funnily enough, the bureaucracy of some countries discriminate against age frustrated

RE: If you could change any one thing in the world, what would that be and why?

Yeah, something like that laugh

Ah, there's so much I'd like to change but as the thread title said "one" thing, that was my choice

The only thing you have to fear is fear itself professor

RE: If you could change any one thing in the world, what would that be and why?

My age.....

Because then I could do what I want to do sigh

All Things GAA

I just caught some of the highlights tonight.

The league kinda crept up on me this year but I'll get back into stride by next weekend grin

Waiting for an email that you were told you would receive "within the next week".

That week is up tomorrow at 4.30pm (not that I'm counting or anything) blues

All Things GAA

Ask me again in a few weeks laugh

Following on from last year, I have to say that Dublin are going to be the team to beat for the next few years. I really, really hope that Kildare finally get their act together and make some kind of a show!! I don't see them as All Ireland winners, but I'd love to see them at least make a serious effort this year.

I'm still a novice where hurling is concerned but it'll be interesting to see how Clare build on last years success

All Things GAA

Ps.....

Stan, if you're lurking.....great result today wave

All Things GAA

Well lads (and lassies, hopefully), it's that time of year again applause

I'm not sure how this will progress as all my old compatriots seem to have jumped ship, but we'll give it a go.....

First question of the year:
What are your thoughts on the "black card"?

I haven't liked the concept of it from the outset and I didn't see anything this weekend to change my mind. Once again, in my mind, it's all coming down to the refs interpretation of it. I just can't understand why the GAA continually insist on complicating things. A foul is a foul is a foul....get your refs all singing from the same hymn sheet and it's pretty easy.
