I'd love this thread, but I've been using a kindle for the last 18 mths so no books laying around and a kindle doesn't do page numbers
Does a magazine/travel guide thingy count? It only goes up to page 46 so I'll drop the 7 and look at page 16.......
"It's been 60 years since the last gold was extracted, but the Gold Fever Follies, a live musical show, is still presented daily at the Miners Hall throughout the summer".
I actually had this conversation with someone last night, well, kinda
I don't think you can "know" anybody from their forum posts. I form an opinion of people based on their posts, as in, I enjoy their sense of humour/mentality/intelligence, or not, as the case may be, but until you actually meet, or at least "talk" to that person, you really don't know what they're like.
I don't hang around here as much as I used to, but the one thing I have noticed is a lot of new people posting and trying to be best buddies with everyone....that just doesn't work and gets very tiresome, very quickly!!
Be yourself, speak your mind, don't insult anyone (unless they are asking for it) and just be true to your own personality
When I originally joined CS (almost 3 years ago ) it was partially because I was lonely, and I thought it was the best thing I ever did. The craic was great, it passed the nights and I made some great friends....
I generally just scan through a thread, don't read every post unless it's one of the rare ones that stay on topic and are interesting, but as soon as I see a hidden post, I have to look to see what was said
Could I live without Facebook? Absolutely, but, it is does have it's uses....
I very seldom post stuff on it, and when I do, it's usually a music video, but I was out of the country for a month earlier this year so it was great for keeping in touch with my daughter, keeping up to date on club football etc
I only have an account for about 3 years and I've noticed that every month, I use it less and less
RE: Monday morning, its coming!!
I actually don't mind Monday mornings.I'm full of optimism of the great week I'm going to have, all the work I'm going to get done, etc......
That glow usually fades by Wednesday lunchtime
